    Refreshing to hear from such a young, intelligent, humble and open minded person.
    You deserve a ton of credit for not only the quality of the content Jesse, but for honestly ‘discussing’ and presenting these new frontiers, as opposed to simply ‘selling’ them or dunking on them.
    Love it mate, keep it coming!

    falling birthrates are a socio-economic issue more than a biologial problem. Higher female education is often cited as the main driver. Much lower infant mortality also means less need to have large numbers of children as a provision fot old age.

  • @spacey118
    @spacey118 4 месяца назад

    Because the earth is a self regulating ecosystem of balance. When the population exceeds the point of balance, the biological vessels will adjust naturally. No need for humans to intervene. It’s pretty simple to figure out actually

    Sperm count may be down. But honestly... Most people just dont want kids. Imagine when that kids get to adulthood and trys to buy a house? What are houses going to be then? 500-700k average? 1mil average? What a life

    But, from a more 'contrarian & right' POV, it seems too biased to discuss such a topic without a 2nd opinion from the opposite POVs. Like the pandemic showed, there are many studies which show "findings" and very few but much-much stronger studies which prove those studies wrong.

    On a personal level, I don't care about sperm count since I don't want children, but on a societal level it is a little scary. Also, testosterone I have mixed feelings about since I despise having a libido and would pay big money to make it go away, but all of these other side effects with diseases and such are also a bit scary.

  • @charlietripi
    @charlietripi 2 года назад +2

    how much of this could be from external circumstance tho? I figure back in the depression when people were having 15 kids it wasn't due to high sperm count but lack of birth control, and adverse conditions, like half of the kids dying and whatnot. Pure conjecture on my part but that's what I've always mentally attributed it to at least
    (Only about halfway thru if you covered it already)

    • @JesseMichels
      @JesseMichels  2 года назад +12

      100% other factors in lower fertility (a lot of is millennials having no money)… but sperm count and testosterone are directly measurable (and now linkable) to plastics which doesn’t only mess w/ net fertility it messes with the ability to even choose to have a child (that seems unprecedented)

    I see positives here:
    1. The population is definitely too large for the resources available (at least until we stop burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests and spreading toxins and plastics all over the planet).
    2. If lower testosterone reduces violence, crime and war, great, fine with me...
    And a side note:
    The lower testosterone effects are actually visible to the naked eye.
    If you look at group photos of men from the 1920 or even 1940s, they always look more masculine to me, square jaws, wider shoulders. I often wondered what's the cause, now we know.
