Another great thing about the jbl stadium I know the coaxial which is what I had. You can twist the tweeter around so you can aim it in any direction that works best for you.....let's say you had a older pick- up with your speakers in the front dash, you could fire the tweeter at a 45° angle vs just hitting the windshield......its a nice option
I installed 4 6.5 jbl stadium coaxial speakers in my 2013 accord sport, I powered them with a jbl apex 1254 amp. It's 125rms ×4 @2ohms....wow they are super loud and extremely clear and punchy, I couldn't be any happier for 4 speakers under $300
@@aalhomrani2111 yes because the jbl stadium 6.5 speakers are 100rms each....the amp was 500 total=perfect.... your factory head unit is not powerful enough to get the best performance. And it's probably a different ohm rating, just keep that in mind, that's why you need the amp
I just got these installed and it has a certain “rattle” not the car but the speakers. I wonder if the screen guard wasn’t put tight enough or if taking them off would solve it?
The speakers shouldn't make any type of rattle noise. It's possible that 1) Plastic clips in the door or trim panel have come lose or are broken and rattling when the bass hits OR 2) the guard like you are thinking may not be tight enough.
It is 4 total, 2 per package same part number. If you are buying the wire adapters so you don't have to cut the factory harness, you are going to need 2 packs as well for a total of 4.

Hey there sorry for the late response! We used 14ga wire for everything but you can get away with 16ga wires if the price is better for you. The owner of the vehicle actually had the speaker wires already so not sure where he bought them from but they are by Monster. Here's an example => www.amazon.com/Monster-Speaker-Copper-Cable-Spool/dp/B08BJBVLXG/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Monster+Speaker+Wire&qid=1621740532&sr=8-3 . Hope that helps!
It is possible to use any speaker without an amp but that means the speakers will be powered by the headunit and usually would impact the quality of sound coming out of them. If your vehicle is equipped with a factory amp and you wish to bypass it, you will have to run new speaker wires directly from the headunit wiring harness to the speakers in order for it to work. Hope that answers your question!
I would definitely say the sound is better than factory speakers. With the driver actually splitting up the highs and the lows you can really hear the clarity. The bass does hit a little harder, but we are using the factory amp with an aftermarket radio. I am pretty sure if you used an after market amp you can get them to hit much harder. With that being said subs would be the best way to get the heavy bass. I run a W7 13.5in sub in my 69 charger, and plan to do some component speakers for that just because I have crazy clear bass but some pretty sad 3way speakers. Hopefully a month or two I can show that off. Again sound is super clear no distortion. On the highs or lows with factory amp. If you have an aftermarket you would have to play with the settings to maximize the component speakers to get the best possible sound.
I drive a 2002 Pontiac grand am and the factory speaker size is 4 x 6, I saw people online saying that you could fit 6.5s in there though. Do you know if that is possible?
Hi there, we are not stereo specialists so it's hard to say that it will fit, but if you're saying you've done research and seen others do it then I'd say it's possible. We only really know about the vehicles we work on, sorry!
Anyone interested in Jbl I just bought JBL GX series 6.5 for 54$ at Best Buy and the GX 6.9 for 77$ Black Friday deal , the 6.5 goes for 80-90 Amazon and the 6.9 goes for 130$ , head down to Best Buy now!! Lol
Hey thanks for commenting. Just need a little clarification on what you are asking.... are you trying to find out what color wires are connected to your speakers or the wires that connect to x-over box?
Not exactly sure I understand your question. If you mean by installing these speakers if the volume is higher at the same volume setting then no it isn't. It does sound a lot clearer though. If you have an aftermarket amp, it may raise the volume if you raise the gain on the amp.
On the Tahoe we don't have speakers in the rear pillars. But if you have an earlier GM SUV here is a website that sells 6in pods for the rear pillars www.customspeakerpods.com/product-page/d-pillar-speaker-pod-for-6-5-00-06-gmfst On the Tahoe we worked on the speakers are in the doors and A pillars. From what I read on this site www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/d-pillar-speakers.12183/ The rear d pillar speaker size is between 3.5 and 4in speakers. Hi Aesor One, The crossover does have a button on it. It allows you to go from the default volume which is labeled 0 to +3 dB. We haven't had to play with it since it was installed.
Hey sorry bud. Wasn't trying to make it a full "how-to" video, more for just informational purposes. But anyway, maybe I can help you through here. What part of the amp are you figuring out? Wiring (Spkr)? Subwoofer (SW)? Amp power?
Your speakers connection from the radio or the amp goes to the "In" on the box. The "TW" is out to the tweeter and "WF" is for the woofer. Hope that helps.
@@FirstTimersChannel Yo bro I got a 2004 Sierra with Bose system and they died on me. Can I use these speakers and wire them to the factory amplifier? or do I need to wire the JBL crossover?
In the instructions it says to install them with the cross over box. You can wire them from the amp, to the crossover box, then to the speakers. If you were to bypass the crossover box and do amp to speakers it would not work and damage the speakers because they are not designed to run all frequency's all the time. If you read through this page below, you will see a diagram of how the crossover box should be installed. www.crutchfield.com/S-5hGiaqRUHZg/learn/component-car-speakers-tweeters-installation-guide.html?source=pjn&subid=47736&clickId=3899698488&&pjClickID=3899698488
I apologize I didn't show you the wiring between the woofer and the tweeter. I understand that this was the only thing you wanted to see, I might be getting another pair of these speakers to install into another car and will try to record that for you, but it might be a few months. It would be Example 1 - soundcertified.com/how-to-install-wire-car-speaker-crossover/ The image from the website is not of the exact product but will give you the general wiring diagram.
