Christian Galvan Sadly I don't have my number 1 episode of the entire series yet which is why i usually say "One of the best". And i'm know "Crusaders of the lost Mark" is considered the best for a lot people especially since that was a amazing episode. :D
Yeah..... imagine what that must feel for him. So many memories he'll never have.... he must feel worse than anyone can imagine. And he has to live with that for the rest of his life.
I think you're the first reactor I've watched who didn't already know what this episode was about. There were a lot of spoilers flying around the internet due to it airing on different days in different countries. It's refreshing to see a truly blind reaction to this one.
This episode demonstrated the Perfect Romeo and Juliet story: We knew the parents would not appear in the show/they died which makes seeing them being happy hits home and creates an even more touching story. And the hint towards a feud breaking up a family hits home in modern times too.
When Scootaloo wished for supportive parental figures and you said you liked that sort of thing, I instantly got excited at the prospect of you watching this episode. It's great.
Played GTA while binging episodes 8-18 last week. This episode had me in shock, I was just staring at the credits in disbelief how amazing of an episode it was. Needless to say I rewatched it as soon as the credits ended. Def my favorite episode in the series now.
It was wonderful to see you so emotional this episode. Got me tearing up too. Also, in case you hadn't found out by now, there were two guest stars doing voices. William Shatner (Star Trek, TJ Hooker, Priceline commercials) was Gran Pear and Buttercup was Felicia Day (Dr. Horrible, Mystery Science Theater 3000).
"If you bring that back home, it's blasphemy." They actually did that. They _actually_ did that. "That's how you make an entrance." That's how you make an exit. "The feud with the bears." Wait. That's from volume 185! "That's weird." Feuds can be stupid. "What the [redacted]!" They dropped the bomb, now haven't they? "They're speaking of them as if they were dead." Not necessarily. They could have been seperated for [insert reason here] since Appleblooms birth. But the writer has made the presentation to strongly suggest this. "... and vanilla." Why is vanilla a purple liquid in this universe? "I never thought I'd cry at this show again." When was the last time you did anyway? "Oh! Er, I now pronounce you husband and wife." Quickly, before anybody can say anything against it. "Are you making me choose?" I had to ask that question myself once in my life. As the answer was the same, the results weren't pretty as well. -Coppergears
This is truly the season of details. All the things going on in the background, from Burnt Oak getting misty eyed, the slight flame flicker on the candles at the webbing, and look on Bright mac face at Pear butters declaration leading to granny's. And the inflections and emotion placed in a lot of these lines from both with said in what's left unsaid. "I was just so angry.......but I never. I can't believe I let a silly feud.....keep me from my family...." This is the stuff that makes great show into art.
Man LaDix, i love your reactions, like the humor you give, and tbh i didnt thought you will cry, even with this episode, but its too much, how they didnt know anything about their parents, not even their mother's real name, i guess we will never know what happened to them, but they live through their son and daughters
I adore this episode so much that it is one of my top favorites of the whole series! The feels get to me every time I watch it just like Crusaders of the Lost Mark, maybe more. I love Bright Mac and Buttercup, their the sweetest couple in this series, no contest. Great reaction, man!
Nothing's as pure as a man bein honestly crying 🥺🥺 Deftly one of the most moving pieces of media since ever and your reaction made me hella feel the same intense emotions as back then when I saw it first time..! Thx soo darn much for it and whish ya all the best for future, bruh 🥲😁🌺✨
dude, hope you are ok, you looked like you were damn close to having a heart attack, I was thinking that just before you said your heart was beating really fast.
If you're wondering who's voice that there was for a grand pear it was actually William Shatner surprisingly don't ever feel embarrassed about crying because that is part of being human awesome reaction by the way.
20+ viewing later, this is to me personally the best episode in the series. And i really mean 20+ views given all the mlp reactors and watching it with some non reactors. It's the perfect episode.
Such trees are often colloquially referred to as "husband and wife" trees, or "marriage trees". The straightforward application of the term comes from the obvious unification of two separate individual trees, although a more humorous use of the term relates to the suggestive appearance of some natural examples. A degree of religious intent may also exist, as some cults are organized around beliefs that trees contain a hidden or sacred power to cure or to enhance fertility, or that they contain the souls of ancestors or of the unborn. By the end of the day, this is still a kid show and thus aren't able to out right say they are dead. But from the way the characters phrases their quotes, like how Apple Bloom said "something our parent leave behind for us to remember them by" is clearly meant to insinuate that they are no longer with the living (the last scene where the family huddle around the trees is meant to be a "visit the grave" scene). The grownup will understand what it meant, but for innocent kids? Their parents could tell them "It mean that the ponies parents are living in fairy land" or something similar.
Shinigami Sama "grave scene" dude its a place where they were married, not where they died (I hope) xD. But i understand your point, all tho it would be cool if they at least gave us a hint about it.
It's a young child-appropriate show. It can't really talk about death explicitly. But it doesn't matter what happened to them like others say, because who they are is more important. MLP looks on the brighter side of things.
Pears are ok, but nothing beat a crisp juicy apple! Chiffon Swirls parents were either hoping she would be a baker or something fashion related based on her name. ;)
Special talents run in the family, so they probably knew it was going to be something artistic. No matter how unusual your special talent seems, or how unrelated it seems to your family, odds are that somewhere in the family tree there was a pony that shared that same talent.
What happened to their parents?!?!??!!!!!??? Why Hasbro why!!!!😭😭😭😭I know they died but what caused it, the least you could do is tell us what happened😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
BigMac is the oldest and AppleBloom is way younger than him. So, I can understand AB not knowing about their parents. However,I find it totally weird that Mac and AJ are acting like they didnt even know them or that their parents didnt tell them the story. I mean clearly they were alive long enough to have AB.
Now im all in on the tear train but theres something that just doesn't make sense. Grand pear and granny smith are supposedly their grand parents. In the backstory, they where pretty old, like 30-50. While applejacks parents was teenagers. So, why are the grand parents still alive when their kids aren't? The kids should be atleast 20 years less than their parents or even more. And there's no indication of a disease. There's no indication of a funeral either so are they actually dead? Or are the truth really that their alive but it's not revealed because seasons back, they split up to never return again. If they'd know they where alive, they would stop for nothing to find their parents which is the opposite of what their parents wants so in the long run it makes sense that for their knowledge, their "dead".
I really hope they do another episode in the future, its supposedly confirmed 9 seasons. If that's true, there has to be an episode on this matter. I'd love there to be an episode where they find out where they live, and that their alive then they go and search for them and find out who they really are. That'd be really cool and it'd make sense in a situation like this.
Their dead... Or are they????!!!!!!?? Duh, duh duuuuuuuuuuuh! No like seriously Hasbro, if you dont put these characters back in the show there will be an air strike called to your location.
This is one of the best episodes in the entire series imo.
I personally call it "The Perfect Episode".
Christian Galvan Sadly I don't have my number 1 episode of the entire series yet which is why i usually say "One of the best". And i'm know "Crusaders of the lost Mark" is considered the best for a lot people especially since that was a amazing episode. :D
Josh Blackwell This episode is tied with ep 14 for me.
the PEARfect Episode
SVGLNR ^Perfect Pun😉
Christian Galvan i hated crusaders of the lost mark
It's really sad if what Grand Pear said at the wedding was the last words he spoke to her
i think it was :(
"Are you making me choose?"
"Yes. I am."
*Chooses to be an Apple*
"FINE!" >:(
last words to his daughter. He can never make up with her again. this episode is a huge tear jerker
Yeah..... imagine what that must feel for him. So many memories he'll never have.... he must feel worse than anyone can imagine. And he has to live with that for the rest of his life.

It's hard to not be sad about grand pear's apology
What makes it sadder is the fact that Grand Pear never got to tell his daughter that he was sorry.😢😢😢😭😭😭
That moment when you realize that was the last exchange Grand Pear ever had with his daughter...
This episode is so sweet yet so sad.
Your reaction didn't disappoint. I was waiting for this reaction for like the longest time.
Glad it was satisfactory :)
I was laughing so hard when you said "We'll probably never see the Apple parents." back in your "Parental Glideance" reaction XD
When Scootaloo wished for supportive parental figures and you said you liked that sort of thing, I instantly got excited at the prospect of you watching this episode. It's great.
Haha, that's crazy

If people don't know who William Shatner is..... then.... well I dunno.
I only know William Shatner from Cards Against Humanity. "What came out of my butt when I was using the toilet? William Shatner"
Ladix, did you know that it was William Shatner who voiced Grand Pear?
When i first saw this episode, i honestly wanted to cry.
"If you bring that back home, it's blasphemy."

I love rewatching your reaction to this Pearfect episode.
I don’t blame him for reacting the way he did..This episode was amazing!
Most reactors already knew about apple parents before the reaction, seeing you going crazy after finding out was amazing! XP
Ladix is not prepared for this feel Train =]] This reaction really worth the wait.
Lambdadelta True.. this hit homebase. Thanks ;)
But still, i wish you could talk about it little more, its one of the very special episode :c
Congratulations! You've officially become one of the top reactors for this episode.
Hey, thanks :D!

Eather they can give themself new names or marage changes there name like irl
dude, hope you are ok, you looked like you were damn close to having a heart attack, I was thinking that just before you said your heart was beating really fast.
Eastwind4869 Hehe, I'm fine :)
It was a pretty large shock to me, and i spent some time after to swallow it.
If you're wondering who's voice that there was for a grand pear it was actually William Shatner surprisingly don't ever feel embarrassed about crying because that is part of being human awesome reaction by the way.
Grand Pear sounds like... Captain Kirk. HOLY SHATNER!!
7:54 Ladix's southern twang emerges.

1224wolf Aw, thank you. Means the world

Thank you :)
William Shatner did the voice of Grand Pear
What happened to their parents?
They were kidnapped by Changelings while on their way to Vanhoover to make amends with Grand Pear
20+ viewing later, this is to me personally the best episode in the series. And i really mean 20+ views given all the mlp reactors and watching it with some non reactors. It's the perfect episode.

Haha, aww. Share my tears.
7:00 I told you that you don't know whats coming.

Thank you for the volume warning, much appreciated
I’m pretty sure the parents got attacked by timber wolves

If this was his reaction to this episode, I'm assuming that our reactions to Avengers Endgame would basically match
Glad to see you react to this one!
William shatner
Would you say that this was the biggest surprise since Weird Al pony?
1:11 "I like his voice."
Do you like William Shatner?
5:51 sooo... that's where aj got Bloomberg from
