Starlight Glimmer is hands down a good addition. Someone with immense power who's been on the bad side, but made amends and joined the heroes. She's really the only ex-villain the show has so far, since Luna was possessed, Thorax was never a villain, Chrysalis is unrepetant, Sombra is dead, Tyrek is banished (I think? I haven't seen that episode), and Trixie is still a bitch but bats for the winning team now, and Discord had this all planned out from the beginning.
Corto Maltese Nah, I'd say Discord is pretty much in the same boat. They both had a plot of evil/revenge, and when they realized what friendship can do and what it really is and feels like, they didn't want to lose it.
(I know, but I only thought about Discord after I wrote out the rest of it and he destroyed my entire argument so I had to pull some excuse out of my ass and him planning it out all along fits in so I'm going with it)
In Starlight's case, she learned what friendship felt like when she was a filly, and it was the reason she went evil in the first place. She thought she lost it when Sunburst left, got so scared of losing it again, that she ended up trying to make sure it couldn't happen again by taking away ponies' Cutie Marks, since she thought they were the reason she lost her (at the time) only friend. it's even possible that Starlight values friendship even more than Twilight, since as much Twilight's learned the true value of friendship, she's never been though the pain that can come from a close friend leaving you, or at least not at the level that Starlight has. Since this part of Starlight wanting friends still existed even as a villain, it's probably a big reason why she decided to turn good so easily, since she still could get that she really wanted all along: friendship Luna might also fit this too, more or less.

They mentioned that Twilight would learn the 'lessons' from EqG, but nothing else would be mentioned, which is why Sunburst exists instead of Starlight's friend being Sunset, nor is the Mirror ever seen in the castle, nor is Sunset ever mentioned, or humans, and so on. Also why Pinkie didn't mention Twilight saving the world in another dimension.
Pony of Shadows= Terra from Birth by Sleep Gave into darkness for power, constantly fighting it but never succeeds. Is using the darkness against its friends/allies. The ending is what I would imagine is going to happen in KH3. Legendary ponies(Aqua, Ven) and the mane 6(Sora n friends) finally getting Terra out of Terranort through friendship (or keyblading the shit out of him). I thought of this watching through the first time, it was gr8 m8
I’m pretty sure that there is gonna be a movie for the other world of something that opens the gate and in the next movie it will show the shadow and there will be a new main character, the reason of how the shadow got out was probably in the earlier movie then the new main character will stop the shadow and the shadow might be some strange creature that was forced into evil, and then the new main character will show up in the pony world and meet twilight or probably become a new princess, and then there might be a series for the other princess . this is my guess of the next plot lines!

I really enjoyed this finale. If I had to rank it though out of the finales, it had to be in 4th place, right in the middle. I felt all the exciting stuff happened at the very beginning of each episode whereas my favorite finales (4th, 3rd, and 6th), all the exciting stuff happened towards the end. Again, Twilight's lack of perception got under my skin. I know Celestia has had a lack of perception in the S4 finale, but that was honestly only one of a few times when Twilight's made this mistake multiple times. But yes I am still excited for S8 since these Pillars are back. Btw, did you see the Indiana Jones pony when AJ got the shovel?
So we have seen how the sires got banished to the human world. Question: are we ever going to find out what happened to them after Rainbow Rocks ? A lot of fans have been asking this, maybe we'll find out in season 8 or in the Equestria girls series. Also, Applejack mentioned that she thinks a branch of the Apple family lives at the Hallow Shades. Maybe those family members have some information about Bright Mac and Pear Butter ?

I gotta admit, I did not predict that this finale would focus on these legends of Equestria(not even Star Swirl)! I’ve read a few comics based on the few ponies we knew in Campfire Tales and Daring Done, but I didn’t think that Star Swirl would appear along with them here. And as if the reveal of Star Swirl wasn’t enough, the Pony of Shadows makes an amazing comeback into Equestrian lore! Even the backstory of how the pillars helped Star Swirl banish the sirens(Dazzlings) was an excellent way to explain the turning point to the events of Rainbow Rocks. Man, I love this finale; it is by far my favorite of the series!! Awesome reaction, Ladix!😁

Which would be him as a normal human. Then after getting ahold of leaking magic in the human world Tirek would become 9ft tall, dark red skin, same outfit but with it being stretched to their limit and him being even more muscular with his horns. Basically Tirek as a human would look like Broly from DBZ. Also I could easily picture Tirek headbutting Sunset through a mountain.

Well,i myself saw this coming.I've predicted this ever since season 5 and many of people were TOO sceptical and ignorant to my conclusions and hypothezisses.
they missed a great chance to make the "pony of shadows", Sombra, they could have fleshed out his character. And Starlight is still an awful character.

they missed a great chance to make the "pony of shadows", Sombra, they could have fleshed out his character. And Starlight is still an awful character.
