All gas fitting in NZ is to be carried out by a registered and licenced tradespeople. The only thing I did was hung the Califont.

Thanks for the sounds mate!
I have a tiny house too and just got the colifont hooked up today by a licensed electrician and gas fitter. The manufacturer of the tiny house mounted the colifont on the outside. So there is no venting problems as any fumes would go directly into the atmosphere. The only disadvantage I can see with with having the colifont outside is that it is exposed to the elements/corrosion/rust etc.
My colifont is a Rinnai Brand just like the one you have this video. Same model.
Thanks for this video man, was exactly what I was looking for, my Mum's tiny home is going up in a couple of weeks so this has helped me understand this side of things a lot!
Good vid mate. Nice to see mistakes made and rectified on the same video. Helped us heaps with our own decisions re our tiny house. Cheers
thanks for the comment!
My tiny house is on wheels too. I can move it if I want too. The manufacturer (Cool Cabins) pulled it down from Auckland all the way to where I live in Taranaki with an SUV (probably about 4 litre motor). And those are some challenging roads. I constructed a deck around the tiny house so I can chill out in summer. But it could be lifted out by Hiab. I am concerned about it resting on the tires and am in talks with a local engineer/metal guy. I am going to hire him to construct stands that could be places in the 4 corners under the metal frame (looks similar to yours). And then the tires could be deflated some so that most of the weight rests on the stands and not the tires. There are also stabilizers in the corners but most of the weight load now is on the tires.
Great video, really informative. Thanks for putting the time in! :)
no woories
3:18 "just wait guys, while I pick my nose..." LOL
3 years old video and still helpful! cheers for that.
Could you tell me about the auto gas changeover unit? where from? how much?
Ive seen some from Tap Warehouse on trademe but your one looks good. what is your experience 3 years into it?
Phil :)
Hey, this is from plumbing world, not sure of pricing. Use another one of these on the shed too and both work real well.
Cheers man. Do you know that if you didn't install the challenger one inside the box you made, would you still need to flue it? I have one similar and am trying to figure out how to do it.
Hi, You will def need to flue it. This is where a domestic fan forced is good as shown in the video.
'an gas'? dont you mean 'a gas'
Installing Gas appliances like the above requires you to be a Licensed gas Fitter and Plumber. So unless you want to be prosecuted take this video down.
Hey thanks for you comment, as mentioned in the video description above 'All gas fitting in NZ is to be carried out by a registered and licensed tradespeople. The only thing I did was hung the Califont. ' Thanks
this is dangerous if you using this at home 💀💀❌❌
