I enjoy your video, I am curious about the copper and aluminum wire mix in those connectors , and how well those connectors are holding up,, your doing a great job 🌺 if the lights have any issues I might recommend going back to the connections and making sure there is a visible amount of stranded wire , inserted into the connectors,,,about the same length as the pre installed wire should be visible in the connector , 🌺🌺I learned a lot from the fence lighting video - I love your channel please keep it up
Hello Kimber. Thanks for commenting. So far, so good. The mix is holding up well. I still rub a maintenance check each season to make sure all is good and the connections are tight. I appreciate your advice and will Apply To my my next project, if we decide to move. Cheers and be safe!
Hello David. Inside each junction box of every light, you were able to connect the lights in parallel. Just be sure to keep all the black wires connected to all black as well as all white wires connected to all white
Yes, it was vinyl soffits. Be sure to reverse the drill so it doesn’t bite aggressively. First drill the pilot screw with the drill in the right rotation. Once you get the pilot screw in, then reverse the drill. Hope it helps. Make sure to go slowly.
Yes they are still working without fail. I use them more so during the fall and winter seasons as the nights get longer and the landscape light are buried under snow. Thanks for watching!

metal box, I dont use electrical tape. just make sure the circuit your adding this to has proper amp rating for the load. If there ever was an issue, should pop breaker before there is an issue.
Hello Kevin, thanks for watching. I actually bridged each other together and ran it to the light switch. Each box, you are able to connect additional wires in “series”. Hopefully this helps.
When you snipped the ground wire you actually could have twisted and pulled it back out of the snap-in connection. It's tight but not too tight that you can undo any mistakes with the wiring.
@@AJDIYNetwork understood. I have a similar situation, so i was thinking of using a similar method, but bridging it from the same recessed lights in my garage. Thanks for the reply. Nice job.

No problem at all. We are in single digits here in upstate NY, and haven’t posted much, but I plan to once the weather begins to warm up next month. Have a great day and stay safe!
Bro! I've been trying to find videos related to soffit lighting in hopes of seeing updated or newer ones. I haven't come across one video that shows how to put soffit lights on garage door openings
I have been trying to as well and figured I’d post something that might help others out there. It was a little bit easier for me because my garage is not fully finished. Also, the soffits were vinyl and not your traditional wooden soffits. If there is a video that you would like for me to help out, let me know. Thanks
@@AJDIYNetwork I appreciate it bro. Mine is the traditional wooden soffit. I've been trying to find a vid diy for the wooden soffit of the garage door but no luck
Hi and thanks for watching. The lights are 3 inches, and so I used a 3.5 inch blade from harbor freight. www.harborfreight.com/34-in-5-in-carbon-steel-hole-saw-set-18-pc-68115.html
The Golden Girls is a good choice for background noise while doing home projects. Reminds me of my parents when i was younger! Love it.
lol. I have to remember that next time!!!!! I didn’t think anyone would notice the background
Check out the halo quick connect lights for your next lighting project. Saves you from having to run all that extra wiring

Dude! You rock! I am doing this in a few days and I SERIOUSLY needed this information. God bless you. Thanks a million!
Glad I was able to help. Let me know if you have any questions! :)
Thanks for the video. This is a great guide. I like the tip about reversing the drill so it's not biting so aggressively. Subscribed!
Thanks Tyler. Glad I was able to help in some way.
Great demo. I am going to get my husband to do that.

Have you set these up to be turned on and off automatically? Does that Wi-Fi outlet have that option?
Yes. I have them on in the winter time. My initial plan was to do the rest of the house, but I marked that off my list to do.
Hi AJ,
How do you connect the 1,2&3 lights wired. Thank you for posting this clip

Just making sure that it was vinyl siding you used the hole saw on..? I’ve been hesitant because I didn’t know if it would work or not.

Thanks for watching. It will likely be the same way. The beauty with this lights is that you can change the direction of the lighting… Gimbal lighting

What type of wire did you use for the lights? Romex 14/2? Thanks
Yes. I used 14/2 Romex. I went for a lighter gauge wire since i was operating LED lights. Thanks for watching.
Would you share the link for the lights? And the switch? Thank you!

Where is your power source coming from?
I piggy backed off of another power source that lights up the backyard.
@@AJDIYNetwork so you just decided to daisy-chain from that location?
Yes. The light sources are LED for the porch light in the backyard as well as the Downlight’s. Watt usage is extremely low.
