Pro tip: upsell your expendable vets with a known ceiling to the “contenders” that are getting rekt by injuries & refuse to accept that they’re cooked. Sell Amari, Sutton, Diggs, etc for their 2nd rounders, good chance they are forced to fold later and the 2nds are near-1sts
Came into the offseason with 0 future draft picks and a super sketchy starting lineup. Since then I’ve accumulated 8 firsts while still holding good core assets. Sometimes u just know it’s not ur year and building value is the best option
I follow your advice since i got a lot of injure players already and i lack depth at every position. Through 2 trade i sent away: higgins + Richardson + r.white + mason + andrews + 2026 2nd For 2 x 2025 first + 2026 first + rice + coleman + murray + Mccarthy Its a 1 qb league half ppr
If you can hold onto guys like Jefferson or Kyler and still get the 1.01, do it because those players are nearly impossible to trade for. My real point there is that Chris Olave-type assets aren't actually building blocks.
Love the video and selling all your best players works in concept however I've found it's a lot harder to buy them back later. Trying to buy a top 10 QB in superflex feels virtually impossible in my leagues

With a top-heavy roster like that, sometimes the best play is breaking down the most valuable assets into a package of picks/rookies. That comes with inherent risk but also a lot more value upside since those star players are already near their value ceiling.
@@johnsheehan1024 yeah if you aren’t competing now is the best time to sell Godwin coming off two huge games. I’d be comfortable moving him for a 1st but in 1QB you might be able to squeeze some additional value.

Do I try and trade picks and such for RBs to really contend? Or sit back and provably just miss playoffs and use picks to get some RB help? Thanks! Love the videos
If KTC has you at #1, I think your best bet is to acquire some RB firepower and try to compete. There are a lot of ways to do this without sabotaging your future value -- either try to pay up for young elite RBs that will retain their value, like Bijan, Hall, Achane, Gibbs OR go bargain-hunting for the cheapest names from the Pollard, BRob, Mixon, Rhamondre, Kamara range.

I don't understand some parts of the "tank" to rebuild ... you say to get rid of Olave ... there are ten WRs that you will be able to "easily" attain ... to get your new Olave won't you have to give up similar value to the value you acquired?
@@tbam994 there are cycles of value in dynasty. Players like Olave (maybe not the best example since he hasn’t scored a ton) are worth more during the season when a team can put the points directly in their lineup. Hey Paul! Love what you're doing here and love the in-season Dynasty content that is lacking a bit from some of my other favorites. Question: when you assemble your rankings and tiers are you treating picks like a base pick (as in the base pick thesis) or are you getting more specific into the range you'd like to see? Working on my own rankings and want to figure out the best practice for giving me good baselines for trades
@@jonflamming8775 hey, thanks! In my ranks, I assign trade values to players as “base picks” but I also break down into projected late picks as well. I don’t get quite as granular as “this player is worth 1.01, 1.02, etc” until we get closer to rookie draft time
@@PurePotentialFF Gotcha, thanks man. A bunch of nobodies. League has a rule that you have to start a full lineup of active players. So once we traded all our guys away, we were just throwing the scrubbiest WR5s and backup RBs out there.
Sounds like you have a lot of valuable pieces that aren't necessarily scoring points right now. See if you can shift some of that buying power into "productive value" (point scorers).
Ok but keep trade cut has me at 4 because my RBs are bijan CMC and dobbins I’m 0-2 and my wr1 deebo out many weeks and my wr 2 is Pickens and 3 is like D Johnson/ Hopkins and te is Kincaid with solid qbs so injuries and starting 0-2 makes me think rebuild especially when my team is bottom 4 scoring right now so to recap good te mid QBs bad WRs and elite RBs but cmc unhealthy
