Great for beginners. It's easy for those who train regularly to forget that some people are just starting out, and they should be applauded not ridiculed for wanting to make an effort. I'm not advanced by any stretch of the imagination, I'm an intermediate level, and I still do wall push ups. Do what you're comfortable with.
Physio prescribed me this exercise for rehab, wanted to double-check my form before waiting weeks for my next appointment... this video is a tremendous help! Thank you! Perfectly explained and clear demonstration, I'm now confident I'll have good progress to show my physio next session 👍
I have pretty much through depression and feelin worthless have always been a couch potato. About ten years ago I received a horrific wake up call and til this day I am still havin some pretty bad issues with my health. It didn't help that two years ago this month I got covid pretty bad. Having copd and an already compromised immune system wreaked havoc on my body, mental health as well as I aslo lost my sweet mother jus a few days b4 I was diagnosed with covid to a rare untreatable form of breast cancer. God brought me through it all or I promise you I would not be here to type all this. To God be the glory!!!! 🙌🙌Because of all this I put on alot of weight. I've been trying to find exercises to try to help turn my health and life around. Tryna eat less and better as well. Tyfs God bless you
Needed some push exercises for my mother's PPL push day. She's very little mobile after a knee injury and this horizontal push is exavtly what I needed.
Ive seen videos telling me to do wall pushups cuz its the easiest variation but they dont give a clear explanation on how to do it because it just seems so simple and there i am struggling until i found this video so tysm
Try to stretch them very carefully, there are videos on how to do that and only start the exercise if your wrists don’t hurt anymore. If it doesn’t get any better after some time go to a doctor.
F 26, just started doing this, my wrist, calf and elbows hurts , is that normal or my posture is bad? The hand position feels weird to me, I keep them as shown in the video but they feel like the wrist needs to be cracked. Calf muscle has a bit cramping in the middle of doing it and elbows felt sore the next day as I started the exercise
I haven't done press ups for years, but I noticed why I struggle. My hands are at an angle facing the wall. I can't get them flush on the wall with my arms straight.
Perfect for my shoulder muscles which have been severally damaged after the injury. I’m re-working on regaining my shoulder strength 6 months after therapy Cheers
The slides of the video where postures to be avoided must have a red cross ❌. Otherwise, people not fluent with English may think it is yet another posture that's being advised. Simple act of common sense!
I like your video the only thing I would've added at the end was the proper way to do it again I had to go back to the beginning and in the area that I live in the signal is horrible plus my phone was not cooperating so it took me a while but had you put the right way again at the end a couple time from side and back wouldve been awesome. Other than that thanks for the video. I'm teaching my 4 year old grandson who can't seem to keep his hands off my walls so I figure hey since he has them there do a push up lol might as well get him started loving to work out he already thinks he's Aquaman and does sit ups every night so I'm going to slowly add things as he grows.
Some people can’t even do those, hence, why I’m here. At 190lbs just starting my fitness journey I can’t even do a knee pushup. Have to start somewhere.
@@bigalhpamaleyes4528 Hello, I have advice for you. TRUST me, Ik from experience that telling someone to do something, without knowing them at all, does NOT make them want to take your advice. Who gives an f about your experience at the gym? People just wanna do wall push ups; let them.
I do wall pushups because my wrist is not flexible enough and in pain with regular or knee pushups due to years of IT work. I slowly get there with wrist stretches and increased repetitions.
This exercise hits the shoulders most . And it is not like pushups in any way use your mind bro . U HV to push yourself against the gravity in order to hit the shoulder and Triceps

@@s3nse544 Yeah, they're just an easier variation of push-ups.
Overweight and can't do one push up even for a million :( Going to try 5 wall push ups and see how that goes.

Alright boys I’m starting the grind
I do these all the time. They work
How many should I do as a beginner and progressing?
My wrists are hurting after this exercise. Is it normal?
Yes, Once you keep doing it for a while it won’t hurt
Try to stretch them very carefully, there are videos on how to do that and only start the exercise if your wrists don’t hurt anymore.
If it doesn’t get any better after some time go to a doctor.
Yes, the more you do it the stronger your wrists will get

Well common sense if you cannot understand English, watch an exercise in your own language.
Not rocket science.
Is there an alt version of this if you’re still trying rehab a torn calf muscle?
Are they bad for varicose veins in the legs?
Thank you.
Is this horizontal ADD and ABD ?
It's been working for me,😊
It's the most easy way to do pushups
I really want to go to the gym but I'm kinda shy i dont know how to start. All I've managed to do was wall push ups
Why shouldn't I move my shoulder blades?
Will wall pushups helps in reducing excess arm fat?
No
Nothing helps reduce excess fat except calorie deficit.
Ohhh so i don't actually need my chest to touch the wall 😭😭😭
finally something to do during shower
Thought I was the only one xD
?? Why would u do it in shower
@@sobster123 wouldn't it be more productive than standing still and wait for the water to wash those soap?

You should try 50 reps, or as much as you can do
It's normal.

No you have to lose weight overall you can’t lose fat in just a certain area but you can gain muscle and tone
