After losing hundreds of pounds, and undergoing reality TV’s most shocking transformation, Mama June is gaining back the weight and the pressure is on to keep it off. In an outrageous weight loss competition, Mama and her arch-nemesis, Jennifer are going pound-for-pound at fit camp. I was wondering the same thing. Why is this mom working and taking care of kids. Her husband works. Are they not paying her enough for the show? Shame on them because she has held this show together. If they cared about Elana they would pay her sister enough to support her. Elana should have enough to be able to live her life like a normal child.

@@kimberlypreston6204 I'm pretty sure that Alanna's money goes into a trust for her to access when she's an adult. June had claimed years ago that's what she did with all the girl's money (back when Anna claimed June had embezzled her trust fund). But considering they all seem to be dead broke since June blew through all the money she had access to on her little $2500 a day 13 month long crack bender, there's no telling what, if any, money is actually left.
Since the series renegotiation for this season, Alanna's share should definitely be going into a trust fund that June cannot access, likely handled by an attorney. Of course Pumkin would be getting paid directly, but WeTV probably isn't paying anywhere near TLC money (I mean, this show's ratings/advertising pool doesn't come close to HCHBB) .. And, like any job, they only get paid after filming has completed.
Basically I doubt they could survive on what the show pays alone.
I'm thinking it's just for the story line. There's no way that Alana isn't getting paid a good amount and there's no way that Pumpkin and her husband aren't getting paid a decent amount.

I like that she is working. It makes it more genuine. I can't watch some of those reality shows where they're teen mothers living in mansions and driving Range Rovers with implants top bottom and behind. Lol...Glad to see Pumpkin holding down a job.

I feel so sad for pumpkin, working at walmart, supporting and being a parent to 2 children, and having to deal with all this drama with her mother. I can feel her stress and frustration; it really sickens me how she’s struggling financially and has to take extra shifts at WALMART, while WeTV is making millions off of televising their family problems. PAY PUMPKIN EXTRA!! SHE DESERVES IT!!
This is just sickening and I’m surprised not more people are mentioning that. I don’t see how people can continue to support the show if this is truly the case.

Unfortunately, she is not ready to get help, I don’t think she has owned up to the fact that she is a drug addict. Also, since Geno is an addict too, the situation is not gonna change until they break up.
But then she is in a bad position because Geno is like you said a drug addict and is going to abuse her and send more people after her

Helps pay the bills though unfortunately. Pretty sure that's the only reason why they're doing it, to survive. So sad. Hope they get help because these girls deserve it.
Helps them money wise and most of us here have watched honey boo boo from the v beginning so wanna see where they are now. Sadly this would all end up on the news anyways so better they get to speak for themselves through a tv show.

This show is so real, it breaks my heart seeing June’s girls getting their hopes up all the time and then their disappointment. Plus having to deal with real life issues on top of all of this...
I can’t count how many time my poor mother would put my siblings in rehab programs and they would do the same exact thing as June over and over again.
I love watching this show and not because of all the suffering and heartbreaking things this poor family is going through but because, they’re showing how to stay strong and cope when you have an addict in the family.

I admire Alana for putting on a brave face through everything she has been through.
Alana has always had such a happy, full-of-life, fun-loving and likeable personality. But I worry about her future due to Mama June's poor decisions. It's disheartening how so many children who could be great, talented, intelligent and amazing people, potential gets squashed by the ignorant and stupid decisions of their parents. 😞
Alana, hang in there young lady; along with your sister. Things will get better;. you're a beautiful young lady; you will go far in life.🙏

I was in a similar situation with my momma. She got involved in gang activity, doing heroin and meth, our house went into foreclosure and we went into debt. We had a NICE house. My emotions didn’t really phase my mother until I left and went out on my own. Me and My fiancé started staying with friends. At the time we were 18 and 19 years old. He was working hard hours and I was going to work and school. My mom went from 300 pounds to 80 pounds. A few years back she had got gastric and then started doing meth. My emotions didn’t hit my mom until toward the end of her life. We fought so much, argued, couldn’t agree on anything. She wouldn’t commit to any kind of treatment. She would never listen to anything I had to say and all I wanted to do was help. The last physical interaction I had with my mom was 2 months before she passed and she kicked me out of the car after a bad argument. She died May of this year. I’m 20 and my fiancé is 21. We’ve been together 2 years. If it wasn’t for my fiancé, I wouldn’t be where I am and as sane as I am today. He is my rock and I love him so much. We’ve been through hell together. Even though that was my mother putting me through all that, even if my mom and I’s communication was off and on, and rocky, he went through it too; seeing me hurt, hurt him too and he helped me so much. I miss my mom, yes, but at the end of the day, she had a choice and she chose death. I love her and I think about her everyday. There are so many things I needed her there for that she wasn’t and so many things I want to tell her that I can’t. But it gets easier every day.
I hope June gets better so Alana and pumpkin don’t have to go through that. It might be entertaining to watch on tv because of the drama but what y’all don’t understand is, this shit ain’t no joke. It’s not fun to go through. This can ruin somebody’s mental state in a heart beat. Losing somebody is hard but losing a parent or somebody close to you that you’re used to seeing everyday is a different story. So y’all keep in mind, this is not a joke.
Stay strong y’all, Alana and Pumpkin and the rest of June’s family, I send all the strength and love and hope I can. Stay strong!

I wish I could grant Pumpkin & Alana a wish that could come true. Those young ladies do not deserve what life is throwing at them right now. I say extra prayers for them every day.

You have a 19 year old who is on a pretty well known tv show on a huge network (a network I’m sure is bringing in some money) that has to pick up extra shifts at her job while her husband also works two jobs so they can make ends meet. That doesn’t sit right with me. Where is the money going? I really hope these producers aren’t capitalizing off of a family’s struggle with addiction while they get hardly anything in return.
poor alana. shes grown into such a great little lady!! she just wants the simple gift of a loving mom, but at least shes lucky to have such an amazing sister.
It’s almost impossible to give up those drugs. Addicts don’t think and feel the normal way once addicted. My husband was addicted to prescription painkillers for over 35 years. The only thing he cared about was his drugs. He never got over it after bringing in rehab 5 times. Those drugs are so strong. Terrible. He would get out and the doctors would give them to him again. I want to hold you all in my arms. I feel your pain. Stay strong. Your mom will get help when she hits bottom. She’s not there yet. P.S. my husband passed 6 years ago.

I love this family they have been through a lot bullcrap. I beg you June please get better I've been where your at, I had to actually move away from people places, and things. I miss my children because I'm in Vermont and there in South Carolina.
I wish june would stop and see how bad Shes hurting herself and her kids. But my mom has been on drugs (crack) since i was 12. She got with a man who introduced her to it. They broke up a few months later and she still has been on it. She lives with my older brother who's a year older then me and she doesnt even try to date she only cares about drugs. Im turning 30 now. And i dont think she will ever get clean. I wish i had a normal mom with a normal bf or husband i want her to be happy. Nothing we can do will help. She only cares about how she's getting money and we were never close because of the drugs. She lies steals begs never entered rehab once. I want a mom but its something I'll never have. My dad left when i was one so i dont have one of those either. I feel for alana and the girls so much. It sucks seeing people have close relationships with thier mom and we cant. We need our parents more then they think. My father talks to me on facebook every now and then. My mom doesnt even know how to use facebook. She cant keep a phone because she always sells it 💔😥🙏 alana is strong 💪 and pumpkin/lauren is strong 💪

I have been clean off of alcohol and drugs for 10 1/2 years and unfortunately an addict can ONLY get clean if THEY want it for themselves... over 30 years I had been in and out of treatment but it was only because my marriage was in trouble or my family would stop speaking to me etc.. of course all those stints in rehab never worked because I never wanted to get clean it was only to try and fix things.. even after losing absolutely everyone and everything you would have thought I got my s*** together right? Nope! that wasn't the case because you got to remember you only get clean if you want it for yourself❤ also too just because you get clean doesn't mean everything will fall back into place.. trust me it doesn't!! All those years drinking and drugging and all the s*** that you've caused mistakes you've made SMH just because you get clean doesn't make that all better and okay as addicts would think..No no no you have to start repairing all that brokenness you have caused over the years and unfortunately that doesn't happen overnight like we want it too..I am still working on the brokenness of things that surrounded my addiction❤ God Bless this family❤

I was in this similar situation my sister wanted to get custody of me soon as she turned 18 I was 13 then. This was 4 yrs ago because my parents were on drugs bad and finally my sister ended up getting custody of me and I’m still living with her

Why won't they get Alana on a weight loss program? It just seems like the show would care about her health since she's the reason June and the family is "celebs".
