ADM's nutrition unit aided executives in earning over $70 million, but now faces investigation for accounting practices, despite contributing less than 10% to the company's revenue. Executive bonuses were heavily influenced by the nutrition sector, with stock bonuses tied to its growth between 2020 and 2021. The top seven executives received shares valued at nearly $72 million.
The world's first ethanol-to-sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facility, Freedom Pines Fuels, opened in Georgia, producing 10 million gallons of SAF and renewable diesel annually. The Biden administration aims to produce 3 billion gallons of SAF annually by 2030. The technology used at the facility will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 70%, providing new economic opportunities for American agricultural producers. 🌱✈️🛢️
Glencore and Viterra filed a lawsuit against Louis Dreyfus, alleging the artificial inflation and manipulation of cotton prices in 2011, causing over $200 million in losses. Cotton prices tripled between July 2010 and March 2011, reaching a record high of $2.20 per pound.

The land where I live in SW Minnesota is not owned by good farmers. A lot of it is owned by people who are worth a lot of money and live a 1000 miles away. Something needs to be done with how we tax farmland to encourage local individual ownership

Really need to start reducing subsidies until the deficit is reduced. Do we really think ethanol will be self-sufficient or is this something that only exists because of “green policies”? Won’t countries like Brazil have an innate strategic advantage in producing ethanol?

we need to go down that road a bit more. what if we are told, we're not aloud to grow soybeans because of change in OMB and we're going into ww3. if we dont have the soy crush and bio fuel plants, would be devastating to us.

I'd bet that the 'hay' mentioned was wheat straw. Journalists don't know the difference between hay and straw, and every time theres a bale shown on TV it's always referred to as "hay" regardless.
Concerning the shortages in hay around central Illinois. Im in mid Michigan and have plenty of large rounds bails of bailage and dry hay. Looking to sell all of it
