    Well spoken. There's nothing more true than what you have said. I want to point out something that relates to your first or second point that, 'Nigerians are loud people'. I believe most Nigerians who traveled out to other parts of the world must have been through Lagos. Living in Lagos for a month is enough to change a person's mentality. If you come into Lagos as an introvert, I doubt you will leave as an introvert. Also when foreigners enter Nigeria, it is most likely Lagos. And so what they experienced in Lagos creates a general impression that Nigerians are simply what they experienced in Lagos.

    God bless you my sister,seriously I so much love your analysis to the core. I was born and brought up in Ibadan,truly Ibadan is not loud but Lagos is loud due to population. I moved to Lagos years back I can't compare Lagos with Ibadan life styles. Am not loud. I can bet it with my life Ghana can't be compare with Nigeria. The only state they hype Ghana is their capital which is Accra and Kumasi. Especially Accra which is their capital and truth need to be told Abuja is by far beautiful than Accra. Many forenger didnt know that Lagos isn't the capital of Nigeria. Especially Ghana people. There are many beautiful states in Nigeria that Accra which is their capital can't withstand in Nigeria. And I come to realize that most Nigerians hyping Ghana in Ghana travel from their village to Ghana,most of them haven't travel out of their comfort zone before in their life. So my sister am not surprise if they are hyping Ghana. If they don't hype Ghana how will they survive. My sister that's is their own wahala oooo. Many state in Nigeria now constricting railway train now. In north now train is working,also Lagos state then federal government rail way which Lagos to Ibadan. Does Ghana have such? No. Lack exposure affecting some of them. God bless you for your work.

    My first question is, why has Nigeria made it too cumbersome for students to get admissions to its universities? Is it a lack of adequate admission space or insufficient institutions to cater to the potential university students? The fact is Ghana universities have absorbed many students from Nigeria, but the reverse is not the case, so naturally reason for that phenomena would be varied which would definitely include assumptions and facts similarly. The fact is there are a lot of reasons why many Nigerians choose Ghana universities over their own, and among the other reason you mentioned, quality could be one of them too, nonetheless, because nobody would spend hard earned foreign exchange to pursue substandard education in a foreign land. If academic staff strikes are rampant in Nigeria , and sometimes disrupting a complete academic year, don't we have quality being compromised right there? Even if you dismiss that, another fact is that, Nigeria is closer to bi-lingua Cameroon than to Ghana, so why Nigerian student prefer Ghana to Cameroon? We also have Liberia and Sierra Leon which are also English speaking, but are Nigerian students making those countries destinations for higher education? The fact is that sometimes the habit of comparing Ghana and Nigeria in so many instances are not realistic, because both countries have different "terrains" in terms of socio-politico-economic and demographic realities. The fact is, of cause Nigeria is a great country, but its huge population compared to Ghana's, almost always place it at a disadvantage relative to Ghana. Of cause this is subject to debate if you have the statistical facts in real terms.

    • @qinspride5795
      @qinspride5795  9 месяцев назад +5

      Your analysis are in order, however, not all universities in Nigeria join the striking actions. Only Universities under ASUU do embark on strike if there are discrepancies in their agreement with the Federal Government, during that time the Universities that pulled out of ASUU aren't affected. In response to your next objections, before the Liberian war, Nigerians were more in Liberia, the war changed the face of Liberia of which gradually they're rebuilding their nation. The Education system and Course outline between the two major British territory(Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Ghana 🇬🇭) are similar from secondary through University level. There are so many Cameroonians schooling in Nigeria especially the Anglophone speaking group which constitutes a minority of the populace due to the fact that they mostly meet the criteria including WASSCE for admission into Nigerian Universities for as long as they will write and pass JAMB after security their NIN. The major reason for admission denial in Nigeria is the population, therefore there's a race of who will qualify via the series of Exams, infact, securing admission does not guarantee continuity. You will also attend classes and meet the criteria of your University's governing academic regulation to escape probation in your first year. If you've been to Nigeria, you will at first think you're still in Ghana due to the similarities in alot of things including culture, food, greetings, skin color, nick names, building patterns and Windows etc. So, it's easier to blend in Ghana just like in Cameroon. There are many Nigerians in Cameroon.

      It is necessary for gaining admittance into a university to be difficult. This is because the university is to train a nation's thinkers. For example, to be admitted into a US university, you must have a good grade on the SAT. Now, could you try some SAT questions (maybe online) and verify? Most people should get a technical education in polytechnics, which should be more profitable than going en-mass to universities.

      I disagree with you on your assertion that Nigerians go to Ghana universities to study because it's easy to get in. If that is the case, then most Nigerians will go to other countries where only Waec certification is required for admission or enrollment. You cannot brush off the quality Ghana offers to West African countries in terms of education. Most rich Nigerian parents who can afford quality education for their wards bring them to Ghana not because it's easy to get in, no! My sister. I think they understand the quality it offers. I think your Government took a lazy approach in trying to solve the problems of admissions when it introduced extra courses or exams after writing Waec. I know this was done because of the large number of graduates from the secondary schools. But I find this policy unnecessary because it's not done even in Europe or America. By the time a Ghanaian student has gone through the secondary school system in Ghana, he/she is able to take on any university curriculum with ease because of how they are taught and trained. Check the WAEC's best students results and awards from all the west African countries, since 1995 to date, Ghanaian students have been sweeping all the awards each year. Did you know that some time ago, Ghanaian secondary graduates were selected to teach in certain tertiaries in Africa? Including Nigeria.

      Nigerian students are everywhere in Africa because of limited admission slots in the country. Every year, at least one million candidates apply but only about 50% of that number will gain admission into the 200 varsities in Nigeria 🇳🇬.

Many of them particularly from the South have not even been to Abuja. They go to other countries and start talking rubbish. Imagine a Nigerian taking a normal train in Kenya last week, and said she was shocked. What are you shocked about? She went on to say say she doesn't think we have a train like this in Nigeria. When she was confronted with evidence by both Nigerians and even Kenyans in the comment section, she went on to say that she doesn't think that the train in Nigeria is as good as that of Kenyan. @@qinspride5795that is why I don't pity them when they are maltreated by the same people for whom they denigrate Nigeria 🇳🇬. I would use two examples.
      Lily Ogini moved to Ghana 🇬🇭 about two years ago and probably had never crossed an international border before her 'emigration' to Ghana. Until recently, she specialized in creating exaggerated content about the bad sides of Nigeria 🇳🇬. She was 'served breakfast' when her Ghanaian benefactors refused to rent their house because of nationality.
      The second case is Sunny Chima who used to project Ghana 🇬🇭 and demarket Nigeria 🇳🇬. In one of his videos, he compared the two countries in the aspect of travel by night and concluded that Ghana 🇬🇭 had no security issues. He falsely claimed that no one does night travel in Nigeria 🇳🇬 because of insecurity. Ironically, the same 'secure' Ghana 'showed him pepper' when his Ghanaian landlord broke into his apartment and carted away everything when he travelled to Nigeria 🇳🇬 for a few weeks.

I told someone Lagos had a metro and the person said "is it that old train you're calling metro" apparently the person was talking about the old colonial yellow train. When we actually have the longest double standard guage rail in Africa and the biggest most modern train station in West Africa. People will rather spend time doing stupid things than learn. Just pick any 3 of your choice. Go round the school on your own and you will be surprised. I personally knew Gh too well. Pick your phone and type best universities in Africa, only 2 Universities in West Africa entered the top 13 and they're only from Nigeria (Uni of Lagos and Uni. Ibadan) only Nigerian university in West Africa made it to the top ten. Back to West Africa: Type Top 10 universities in West Africa according to Education timeline, You will be surprised that 70 percent are from Nigeria. The first, third, 4th, 6th, 7th, etc are Nigeria. The truth is that If you visit them, you will know that University of Ghana should not even be the second cos there are so many universities in Nigeria better and it can't be second when the world statistics graded university of Ibadan and Uni Lagos above university of Ghana but I felt that for unity sake, hype and bias, West Africa analysis just fixed University of Ghana. Have you been to Ante Diop in Senegal?, it's more tech accesorized that even Kwame Nkrumah(av been there). Even last month, Ghana article published the 11 best Universities in West Africa, and normally they pushed their own University of Ghana above university of Ibadan due to bias and that's the only university out of 69 universities in Ghana to make the top 11 universities in West Africa. The remaining 10 are from Nigeria(10 out of 11 were Nigerian universities). Even From 12 to 20(7 are Nigerian universities). Do you know the no of foreigners in Nigeria universities??. Most of them applied 3-4 times(years) before they could get admission due to the population, cut off and quota.

      Have you been to Lagos?, . Lagos is different from every other part of Nigeria, it's a metro city and developed but lifestyle is mostly unique. Yes, it's Nigeria but it doesn't represent a lifestyle of Nigeria in general. Gushegu town🇬🇭 is in Ghana, am I correct?, How will you feel if i make a video of gushegu town in it's ramshackle state and post on u-tube as my experience in "Ghana" comparing it to Abuja Nigeria?. Does life there represent the life of Ghanaians?, The answer is No!. A Kenyan tuber did a similar thing and wrote it: "so this is Ghana", I knew how bad many Ghanaians felt, that's a bad PR cos that's what the western Media want, negative energy, negative trends about Africa.

    You state that: " Nigerians resort to Ghana tertiary education because is easier gain admission." This not wholly true. Why such unnecessary barriers to gain admission into universities in Nigeria. One guess is due to more students chasing less colleges. This presumably the one reason the system is created to make it artificially difficult for protective tertiary students in your country. Of course, when there is alternative why delay. More when those who were fortunate to gained admission had to be submitted to chronic strikes of faculty personnel. Analysing all these reasons, any smart and forward looking prospective students will look elsewhere where the facilities are ready and to accept him/ her. Besides having Ghana name in one's credentials is always a PLUS especially in Nigeria when it come to employment. They can also be employed in Ghana as they have been tweaked by Ghana educational system. Education is a right not a privilege so let Nigeria-' 210 million build facilities to accommodate her future leaders by way training. We as Ghanaians will always open our doors to anybody who is willing and ready to add value to their intellectual capacity. Looking to your next video

      Well, some of your analysis are reasonable, however, graduating from Nigeria is "mostly" a prerequisites to getting a government job in Nigeria(though not in all cases depending on who you know). It affected my loved one who graduated from Ghana, she'd missed on so many government opportunities because her degree isn't from "Nigeria" and not from the West(and she's inexperienced,so no expertise). She finally got a government job based on connections via a quota system that favoured my family. It's currently affecting many Nigerians that schooled abroad due to the "Law/Bill passed that's incharge of parastatals and ministries". You must have an NYSC discharge certificate for any type of corporate job and a degree from a Nigerian Recognized University for most Federal Government Jobs. If your certificates isn't Nigerian, then it must be from the Western world to even get a good job from a reputable multinational corporation so far as you came back to Nigeria to do your NYSC or get Exempt Certificate from Nigeria.

      Ghana, Togo, Benin, flooding Nigeria with flawed graduates, say' FG

      Featured News

      The Federal Government says some private tertiary institutions in the Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon and others are graduating students in unaccredited and unapproved courses into the Nigerian labour market.
      “These institutions graduate students in unaccredited and unapproved courses, especially, medical sciences, health and engineering courses,” said Sonny Echono, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, on Monday at the 33rd National Standing Committee meeting on evaluation and accreditation of foreign qualifications.
      “In most African countries, especially in Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon, Niger etc, tertiary institutions run courses leading to award of degree certificates for two or three years as against four years or five years in Nigeria.
      “There is need to critically look at the merits of these arrangements without compromising the quality of education that Nigerians receive outside the shore of the country.
      “This is critical because, graduates of these institutions later return to seek employment opportunities and admission for further studies in Nigeria. We should not compromise the quality of education offered to Nigerians.”
      Echono, who spoke through Ike Orji, Director of ICT at the Ministry, said relevant professional bodies in Nigeria had been directed not to register holders of such qualifications for professional membership and practice in Nigeria.

    • @qinspride5795
      @qinspride5795  9 месяцев назад +7

      Comparing the two cities is fine but do not let your city in Nigeria represent Nigeria. "What shocked me in Accra as a lagosian" is a better caption. "What shocked me in Kumasi as a Portharcourt girl" is ok , however when you now say "what shocked me in Ghana as a Nigerian"-- that's a big issue, You have to make sure that your comparison is general. How will you feel if a Nigerian that lives in Sunyani uses his experience there to compare Ghana to Nigeria when there are cities like Accra. I could remember a Kenyan who did a similar thing in Ghana, she went to the areas where Hausas and Accra hawkers do stay and captured the dirty environment, chaos and hustle there and wrote, so this is Ghana ". It was a bad thing to do, it's not her experience, she was first off led to a very Big eatery that was beautiful but she didn't capture it well, she instead used a dragging image as her thumbnail. It caused a lot of uproar, even some Ghanaians entered u-tube to lament via their u-tube page. I understood their pain, It's the same way we feel here when these people do same.

    Oh my sister!!! ... it's obvious that you want to defend your country at all cost so you ignored the things that shocked Nigerians when they come to Ghana. The difference between Ghana and Nigeria is like night and day. But you have internationally closed your eyes to those things. 90% of Nigerians on RUclips who talked about the things they found shocking in Ghana, mentioned things that every Nigerian admits except you. First of all, (1) they all talked about the continuous supply of electricity. Nigerians living in Ghana finds it shocking that 3 months in Ghana, they didn't see any power outage. Prominent Hollywood personalities all admired certain things about Ghana and spoke openly about them. But here you are trying to defend your country at all cost. Go back and watch those videos on RUclips recorded by Nigerians ... majority talked about constant power supply. They also talked about safety and security...how they can walk in Ghana late in the night and not be afraid of being attached. Are you saying those people were all lying? Absolutely not .... they spoke the truth. It takes an honest person to admit things that make him/her look bad and you're not one.
