I’m satisfied with my M12 gen 3 fuel impact. I just don’t see a point of getting an M18 fuel impact driver anymore right after putting my m12 gen 3 fuel impact driver through its paces for the first time.
My bad brother been really busy with work and family lately I just haven't had time to do much else im going to try and get some more content out soon, hope your doing well bud
Don't you mean gen 3 verse gen 4? Or is that the m18 platform? Hang on a sec and let me dig up some info, cause I had a m12 fuel impact without the tri light (got stolen from me) anyways I'm pretty sure that 1 lighted m12 impact was a gen 3
Asking way to much out of these tools, a corded drill press or other more powerful drill would likely break the bolt or the socket....... Re-title it 'How NOT to drive a 8" lag bolt."
This is simply a comparison showing the difference in power between these two impacts, of course these are not made for driving large lags I never said they were this is a tool test channel so of course I'm going to push them to their limits thats the point
@@powertoolinnovations by showing it the inexperienced unknowledgeable average person can take it as a normal use of a tool. You can show something realistic that also shows the max power of the tool. At least have a disclaimer, people need it and it's kinda on you for introducing it.
@@powertoolinnovations not if you or I show them wrong....I think there is some responsibility to teach something right if you have the knowledge... I am certainly not going to teach someone how to abuse their equipment and then say that is on them. Do you want to be a test channel or a 'Whistling Diesel' type channel? So yeah, take responsibility and have a disclaimer or a proper way of operating equipment for the uninformed viewers. @@fritzmiller9792 buddy there are alot of people that run lags with impact drivers honestly i do it all the time and mine have held up just fine, milwaukee themselves have videos running lags with these exact tools, as far as the whole pilot hole arguement if your on a jobsite and your running lags without pilot holes then your supervisor has failed to train you properly, but that's your opinion and your entitled to it, have a good day 👍
Wrong tools for 8 inch lag. They are just making you crazy about torque. I have m12 and m18 but still my dewalt 1400 in lb brushed dose most of the jobs an impact suppose to do.
@@ethandonivan5175 actualy it is 1400 in lb dcf885 9 years old . Recently I bought milwaukee gen 3 m18 fuel impact and hammer drill . But still love that dewalt

For majority the M12 Gen 3 is more than enough for an impact driver if you use it for its intended purpose its an awesome impact
Good way to break your impact driver. This application calls for a DRILL!
Now switch the socket heads and rerun it.
Already have a video up of that buddy go check it out
Where have you been brother we have missed your content!! I hope you are okay 🙏

@@powertoolinnovations I'm doing great I was worried about you brother glad to hear you're ok and just busy with life.
Gen3 was smoking
Tool selection matters. Using the right tool for the job is important. Nice demo but not the tool for the job.
Very poor test looks like has a lot more force on the gen 3 and it has a larger diameter socket giving it more torque
I was going to say this 😂
I agree.when testing use the same size adapters to get accurate results.i like the test but it isn't truly accurate
Cool but not the rite tool for the job.
I agree, he's just curious what these drivers can do.
Yea baby!!
This isn't the redo is it
Video your wanting is on my channel go take a look

The previous is the 2nd gen the new one is the 3rd gen for the Fuel lineup
M18 fuel went from gen3 to gen4
M12 fuel went from gen2 to gen3

Useless comparison bc they were not designed for this type of application
