Adobe Firefly has gotten an update with more realistic image generation and more advanced prompts including image referencing. All these amazing A.i. features and its still a daunting task to create a countdown animation in After Effects :D
I’m still waiting for them to add a feature that many designers have been asking for for 7 years: being able to create animated gifs on artboards in Photoshop. Express is too limited even compared to Canva. Also, man, those speakers are SUPER annoying to listen to!
Have you ever tried to add a table of contents in InDesign? Landing a Boeing 747 with all engines on fire is a piece of cake in comparison.
Ai please make a text layer, then pick whip the source text to an expression control then animate that expression control countdown from 10-0, then apply a Math.round onto the expression control get rid of the decimals please.
Or loop something in After Effects without googling a custom expression code, or simply do ANYTHING in that program without it being an absolute nightmare.

I feel the same. Once upon a time we'd see the art in this video and feel inspired to learn the techniques to make them. That's been replaced by a sort of apathy now.

I think Adobe is doing a great job with introducing usable AI tools. Having said that. THE BUGS in your software should be your highest priority. The worst is AE, every release there are massive problems. It now takes me 10 times as long to open projects. Crashing, the link between Premiere and AE is now badly broken. All my software is up to date. Where is your QA Adobe? How many cooks do you have in that kitchen!

@@AppDesignTips I don't think it's something to get excited about. It has too many ramifications for misuse. I will obviously have to use some features or as you say I'll be out of a job. This doesn't bode well with the notion of AI being one of the greatest threats we face and it's companies like Adobe who are making iit seem all warm and fluffy that is going to hasten our dissconection with the physical based reality we rely on to have meaningful connectins with eachother. No good ever comes getting excited about things that dissconnect us from the basics. In my opinion of course. I like your thumbnails though!

lol.. it certainly does enhance the entertainment and keep people engaged in Sneaks. I've been there with Kevin Heart and with Tiffany Haddish and they certainly gave the audience a great time. I would bet the attendance would be 1/10th if they weren't there. That's the reason. But yeah. I think the reason the keynote feels unpolished and cringy at times is because they bring out true unsung heros that are great at implementing these features but haven't really practiced on stage all that much and presenting
@@AppDesignTipsThey bring out the developers and team who actually worked on them. I’d rather have them show their work than someone who is speaking off script who had nothing to do with it. And as for sneaks they are so hard to sit through in the room I cant imagine people would stay if there wasn’t some kind of pull

lol good Q/insight. The way generative AI works it has to begin all looking generic in order to grow and give it more uniqueness. More people that use it the better it can be trained with more preference. If people type generic prompt and generate it will all be generic but I’ve already supplemented firefly in small ways with my self-made content that has saved me hours.
This did feel like a firefly pixie dust sprinkled into everything event. They did say they had to set aside a lot of the adobe roadmap to focus on AI which might seem boring right now but I think it’s a very smart move for their future and our future.
Off the top of my head. AI image to text and outline path to text finder was pretty cool. Photoshop adaptive filters, express 2.0 is basically a whole new tool compared to express 1.0. They didn’t spend a lot of time on the non AI stuff but it has all been updated sporadically throughout the year making it not as exciting as releasing it all at once but a lot more helpful to us for them to ship right when it’s ready.
Simply, the ( generative AI ) killed the photo and vector stock business 😅
soon it will kill the graphic apps too
the whole entertaiment industry is becoming a corprate autogenerate alogrithmic industry to pump as much shit out as humanly possible kind of sad .....

+ I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as faith and patience. We should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, it will be the cause of so much destruction like never seen before, it will deceive many and take many captive in order to enslave them into worshipping it and abiding in lawlessness. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. There were many on stage that appeared to be first timers and it was probably their nervousness shining.
So much great things, and so much cringe.
