I would like to apologize for every impolite, non-empathic employee we have working with us. Keep scrolling and you will find out that all airlines go through this stuff. I've been traveling for work for a decade, 2-5 flights a week. The problem with this statement isn't its accuracy ; it's that for every other airline it's the exception, for Alcoholic Airlines it's the rule.
I wouldn't, but I do choose to fly United as my main airline now. I'll take flights with you guys to check up on y'all every once in a while. But tbh, I always thought United was the nicest American Airline anyway...

I saw him on my way back to london
I just wanted to tell a story about a really bad flight of mine. We were flying delta and the flight was delayed two hours. We were flying on an md80, and after a smooth flight and landing, both of the left tires exploded and the plane skidded to a stop. We were on that plane for 3 hours in the middle of a taxiway. We deplaned, and had to wait another 7 hours for our next flight. Luckily they compensated with free first class and hotels. This is why we love delta 👍🏻 😒

my father nicknamed this 1 hour person “Goldilox”
when we finally got to the airport, security checked us one last time and we were denied to go on the plane. 3-4 hours for nothing

When I was delayed (2.5-3 hours) with United due to a flat tire, the customer service had carts, literally like 4-5 carts, of snacks and drinks that they were handing out.
I remember when I had my flight back in 2019 for a Disney World trip, we got on the plane on time but after like an hour and a half we were kicked off (I felt bad for the guy I was next to, he blew up a neck pillow and fell asleep and woke up on the plane and it was still on the ground)
And then the flight proceeded to get delayed for several hours!! and they also eventually brought out a kart with drinks and lunch n stuff, it was wild
We were supposed to be in the air around 8am and ended up finally boarding around 2-something in the afternoon, it was so bad
And I remember seeing this video before my trip and getting nervous about AA and ended up being right that it wasn’t gonna be a good time
Sucks that so many peeps had similar experiences with this airline
Delta did the Same thing in Phoenix back in 2016 when the bird hit a wing on the plane. They did that all with Pizza. Very nice of Delta.

this video is pretty much the whole reason I’ve refused to fly American Airlines my whole life, there’s ALWAYS something wrong with them. Sometimes it’s the plane, sometimes it’s a missing pilot, sometimes it’s a missing flight attendant, you can never be fully sure of the reason but you can ALWAYS expect something to go wrong

A lot of times the ground agents don't know either. They are waiting to see what dispatch will proved. I used to be a Gate agent with American. We had a 10 hour delay once becuase our plane came in broken and dispatch kept pushing but the delay last minute. In the end they ferried a plane to us but we were kept in the dark for hours just like the passengers.

I could be wrong here, but I *think* the more clarified truth is...they have a policy that doesnt let you record certain things in the airport. And while it is not illegal to video in this circumstance, the company themselves has the right to kick you out if you break their policy. If you DON'T leave then you are trespassing, in which they can call the police to have you removed. Either way she handled it all wrong.

years later this happened to me, a 20 minute storm in miami backlogged everything, we were grounded there for 6 hours in the plane and then had to wait a extra 4 hours of a extremely long line just for rebooking and got nothing provided. we slept in the floors and everything, very insane

First time I flew American Airlines from Cancun to Chicago, it was HELL and it was on the 737-800. Bathrooms were sticky, NO AIR CONDITIONING WHEN IT WAS 85 DEGREES OUT, Seats were rock hard and just a horrible experience. My connection flight with American Eagle (Envoy air) on the ERJ-175, it was heaven. So clean, Comfy seats, snacks were god tier and plane was smaller and more quiet. NEVER FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES BUT FLY AMERICAN EAGLE WITH ENVOY AND REPUBLIC AIRWAYS 100%.
I actually had the exact same thing happen to me in Miami, the plane had no AC and made us sit there for 2 hours doing nothing and rescheduled the next day at 6 am

Giving me flashbacks of my LA disaster lol. Flight was delayed 5/6 times and we waited 8 hrs... The customer service line was down to the bathrooms (a few hundred yards away). We had two options: 1. LA>PHX>CHI>IA 2. Go to NC (6 hrs away...) and go to IA from there. Absolute hell! Never taking AAirlines ever again bro
