In this video I will go to my local Petco in search of the best aquascaping materials I can get my hands on. Then I get to work on a UNS 16T desktop tank and put my spin on an "open top" concept aquascape.

its nice to see another cherry barb owner on youtube
Cherry barbs are underrated! A nice male will outshine most other freshwater fish imo, the red can be so deep
@@AfishionadosAquariumDesign ik im working on breeding them, only one fry survived and is growing. i’ll try again when i can safely add that fry back to the tank.
I managed to breed them accidentally in my last scape in my 90P, there a few little babies in the 60S now
super fresh! keep em coming
Thanks! New content every Wednesday and Sunday!
Omg he’s sooo cute! 🔥🔥🔥
I am a little concerned about the wood weight cracking the glass. Lovely scape nonetheless!
Thank you, I’m glad you like it! Don’t underestimate the strength of glass, it’s very strong to heavy gradual loads. The wood also sits nicely on the top rim, most of the weight is going straight down.
Isn’t that type of wood very light? Similar to balsa wood - maybe not as light but similar? Beautiful scape. You’ve inspired me! Which means I’ll be ripping my 3 aquariums apart because I absolutely hate them. I will use only things found in nature (minus litter 🤪)) could I use my kiln to sterilize hardscapes?
Mopani is actually relatively heavy wood, it’s pretty dense. Glad you liked it! I aim to inspire if I can. You can definitely use a kiln to sterilize. I have used my home oven before too, just not too hot to burn. And be careful!
