Apologies for the re-upload. We had some issues with the audio on the previous version. The culprit has since been demoted to only lifting with the Rogue AGGRO Bar for the foreseeable future as punishment…including front squats. Thank you for your cooperation. - Coop
Your mic seems optimized for catching sound from the top. The Eleiko rep came through much more clearly, wondering if it's because she was talking into the top of the mic.
The word inclusive never use to generate any feelings in me. But in the current environment, the word inclusive combined with weight training generates powerful emotion in me. Before you dismiss me as ignorant I urge you to reread the appendix to 1984 by Orwell. Jocko recently read it if you want to listen to an awesome voice read it. My desire to keep this current climate and the word inclusive away from sweat and work and pudding that shows proof is well founded. Thank you if you read this far. May sanity prevail.
Just a small tidbit for coop, the correct term is damping, not dampening. I work with isolating instrumentation equipment. So it's a nuance most people won't care or notice though. Keep up the great videos!
The gym I go to has the Eleiko platform seen @0:34. Yes, it is very quiet and suitable for crossfit (snatches, clean and jerks). But for deadlifts with sets of multiple reps it's not optimal: the barbell and the weights bounces around to much sideways, and you will have to re-adjust your standing for almost every rep.
thats fine, you should be doing dead stop deadlifts anyway...I usually switch my grip (alternate which hand is pronated/suppinated) every rep on heavy sets...
Love you coop. You are fun to watch and I love your passion. Glad I found you and subscribed. You are one of the reasons I started building a home gym even though I am poor as hell haha and I love it. I did a 450 pounds deadlift at home last week. I never did more than 405 at gyms. Having my own heavy metal music blasting loud and being able to grunt make it so much better.
I'm so pleased how Eleiko is upgrading their equipment, I only hope they are coming up with an better sealrow bench, it's nice but hard to use wirh some specialty bars
I'm such a sucker for modular racks. The idea of slowly over the years adding to my homegym and all of it fitting together really scratches that RPG itch I get. It's like character development, but for your gym
This is such a funny way to think about this but I love it. I always feel like the more I lift then the more I can get new equipment. It does feel like an RPG
Love that they decided to make their system modular. I'm hoping that they have their eye for design on some cable systems. REP's looks awesome, but I'd love to see more systems designed to turn a half rack into a functional trainer
@@ascendtoaesthetics i dont see why a $500 rack dont last this long the price is just the comfort of having the best possible but not the best value...
Great coincidence: a week ago I send a mail to Coop asking for some Eleiko reviews (because the US stuff is hard to get in Europe) and he comes up with this. Awesome. Now just do a review on the new bench please
I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
I have the Oppen Collars and they are great - except that they are way to hard to open when they are on the bar. I don't know how to fix it in a good/safe way, but I would love to see that changed in the next iteration. I really like Eleiko stuff - except for the price ^^
2 safety belts on the sides of the cage for the squad, think about the ones on cars, it gives in if you pull it slow and locks when you pull fast and the weight falls stoping it from crushing your spine, idk if it could work tho because you might go down slow when you cant lift it, just an idea
Eleiko makes many great products, but I will say this about its new collars: the design is terrible for removal since the underside of the switch digs into your fingers like a knife. Just watch the video and you’ll see that the rep had trouble removing one collar with both hands. Also, they don’t stay put; they shift outwards from deadlifts alone, so don’t expect to drop your bar from overhead.
I have a pair of these. They are insanely hard to take off an unloaded bar or if you only have small plates loaded on. However, I have one collar that is perfect to use. Not too loose and not too tight and I can unclip it pretty easily with just one hand and it’s a joy to use. However, the other collar in my pair is at least twice as tight and it is so hard to remove it so I experience something similar to what you saw with the rep. I guess your mileage may vary, but they’re replacing the tighter collar for me. Glad I still have my Lock Jaw Pro collars though haha.
I've got a pair of these clips they're dope. They hold insanely well, but I won't deny they're a huge pain to unlatch sometimes. A couple of my friends can't can't do it it locks so tight. My favorite thing about them is not having to slide them up and down my barbell to get them on, alsonthe magnets are very nice with rubber coated weights. With plain cast iron plates it's insanely hard to remove.
Try leaving the tight one on the bar overnight to see if it will stretch a little. I have polymer oso collars and the older ones are a fraction of the tightness!!
Great video! All these products looks great I’m sure they’ll sell out quick…I have a question about BridgeBUILT; have you heard of them and what are your thoughts on their products if so?
We have this half rack thing at the gym I go to, and the dumbbells and the benches. Tbh, they are not very good at all, the old technogym stuff was much much better. Shame, as the old Eleiko stuff was different class. Seems like Eleiko cashed out. Do they still make genuinely high quality stuff?

I'll take a new pendulum squat machine over overpriced bars, regardless of the quality of the knurling.
