How do you plan on doing the starter I have a 91 Mitsubishi eclipse GSX I want to put a Honda motor in it with the starter for the Honda is on the transmission in the Eclipse is on the motor
Hey I have a 09 eclipse gs spyder. Would you recommend engine swapping a daily? I just want more power, should I do it and if so what would you recommend?
Yes! Currently the car has been sitting for a little bit as I've been focusing on my drift cars. I still have the motor and I still plan on doing the swap, but I won't be doing the swap until the stock motor pops. The plan is to take the car to at least one track day this year. Sorry it's taking so long, it's just not my priority.
I plan on fabricating motor mounts and using a stock Honda transmission. Then I should just need custom axles to run from the Honda trans to the Mitsubishi hubs. That's the plan, whether it'll work or not is a different story lol.
@Nicholas Roman Hmmm... that's a really good question. I hadn't thought about it. It might be easier to fit the honda subframe in the eclipse then run honda everything up front. I just might do that.
Honestly the perfect car to swap it in. The front end doesnt lack much space at all for the k swap. Also will give the mitsubishi lots of character!
I agree! Can't wait to do it. It's probably gonna be a while lol.
Great message- little bit little - gets you over the line. Great video!! Thx
I wish honda made an inline 6 that was a 3.8 in the configuration of a k series engine but ready for rwd application that would be sweet!
I have an 06, burnt orange too! Just did an engine swap… gained 100hp!!! 240, crazy!!!
Nice! What engine did you put in it?
Standard 2.4 but it came out of a Gallant. Bigger car, more power in this tiny thing. Having issues with the idle rpm going too low…any advice?
@gagecohlrae Hmmm.. With low idle it could be a few things. Is your check engine light on?
@@gagecohlrae idle air control valve
@@gagecohlraedid you have to do anything special I love this idea
Would love to see you take that Mustang tho!
I don't plan on using my Mustang for time attack, but I do use it for drifting! I have videos on my channel taking it to the track.

I plan on using a Honda trans meant for the K24, so I should be ok.
Where did u get the mounts?
What mounts do you mean? If you're asking about motor mounts for the swap, I don't have any yet. I'm going to have to make custom ones.
Would you not have to do engine amd trans swap with a standalone
I don't believe I would HAVE to but I'd rather go with a standalone ECU.
Any update?
Yes! I've been very focused on the drift cars but I'm actually going to be putting time into this car over the next few months.

@chrisriley6972 Simple answer is, no, I wouldn't recommend engine swapping your daily. 👍

Bro spare be on the mustang stories I want to know how you put a k24 in a 4g eclipse

Sounds like a good plan are you going to go with the k-series subframe for you going to keep the eclipse subframe in it
