I used to work as a server at Carrabba's. I had a family at a table who ordered calamari and one of the kids looks at me and goes, "what even is calamari?" and before I can answer his mom says, "They're onion rings, right?" while giving me the stink-eye. After an awkward moment I said, "Sure. They're onion rings" and the kids both cheered saying, "we LOVE onion rings!" And I got a great tip from them. True story.
I like the rings not tentacles. When I was a kid I asked the server if theirs had testicles.

LeaMelxo Olive Garden has literally no flavor in there food. The only thing I liked is the soup and the dessert and nothing else.

I think Carrabba's is the kind of place that a lot of people have never been to, and they assume it's just another Applebee's or whatever. It's not people. Carrabba's is legitimately amazing.

The seasoning for the bread is out of this world! Also, the Tuscan chicken with extra seasoning over spaghetti with extra sauce is my favorite.

Lol I opened the first carrabbas in AZ and can cook items they don’t have on the menu. I cook them all at home. You gotta always get a side of lemon butter with the calamari and zucchini fritte! We used to make our own items right before close 😂

Worked at Carrabbas for awhile. Outside of a handful of items (namely the Alfredo pastas), the food is quite good. The campagnolo is the best pasta dish on the menu, very underrated. Too bad she didn’t opt for the Caesar-the dressing is easily the best around.

Anne Sofie Jensen.....Back when I ate at sit down restaurants, if I knew appetizers were generous portions, I'd order a couple in place of a main meal choice and take the leftovers home. Appetizers actually should be shared by several people, not one or two.

@Anne Sofie Jensen Yes, in America the entire table shares the soup using the same spoon. We also share one large cup of coffee by passing it around.
Since you’re so experienced, I’m quite sure you would recognize when a bowl of soup is that large, it is eaten as the main.

There are not that many Japanese food restaurants in the non-coastal US (where she is) due to the fact that some of the dishes are based on fresh ocean fish and that is almost impossible to preserve

one of the owners of a pizza place i used to work at was a partner of one of the outbacks that the carrabba’s used to manage/own. he fell so in love with the creamy pasta with peas and mushrooms that they have their own spin on it at the restaurant, as well as had the family help with a lot of the dishes. that shits fire.

I'm sorry to hear you two are sick right before the holidays. I can't always comfortably watch food vids when I get sick. We've all had unpleasant reactions to the sight of food at one time or another and even something as comparatively mild as a migraine will do it to me every time.
