Update: Brandys family reached out to me and informed me, they were made aware, and had a proper service in honor of her.
Her dog was also rescued by family and is safe!

Mateo , I am a homeless disabled female myself. It means so much just to be noticed and treated like a “normal “ person. People don’t come up to talk to homeless. You have a huge heart and are full of kindness. You were an earth angel for her….i agree we all need to show kindness and care to one another. Thank you for sharing the story. But you know what's beautiful? You made her coffee and a breakfast sandwich on the last day of her life. That was kind. And a kindness she received made her day brighter and she got to recieve some love. It makes a difference. She did not die alone and forgotten.

Without even knowing her situation, your internal compass told you to reach out to her. Your instincts told you someone was in that vehicle and you checked on her and shared a meal with her without any profit motive, gain, or intentions. Just one human connecting with another. She was so grateful for your kindness in sharing a meal with her. You never could have known what she was going through, but your selflessness told you exactly what she needed. This breaks my heart to see, but to know you met her in her final days will leave an imprint on you forever. We never know what going on inside of those we encounter. You showed exactly how to treat people without even knowing. It just happened to be caught on video and I'm very sorry you had to experience this moment. You don't realize how many homeless people are out there until you start dwelling in a vehicle. Good for you for actually caring though, I did a simliar thing for a lady I met while out on the road and we still talk to this day. The world can be a cold place some times, but spreading love will always keep us warm.
I'm 36, never married, homeless since the pandemic, and living in an old Toyota Sienna minivan now, despite working, and not addicted to drugs.

@@winterisbluay bro here's what I do if I'm near urban areas. Look for malls if you're in a big city there are drive in parking towers you have food warmth and shelter. Change up the malls here and there I stay on the gulf of Mexico so everything is within 2 hours or so.
Also here at can literally camp at the beach for 14 day straight free then drive an hour to another beach for 14 days just making rounds. Wal-Mart and malls are everywhere.

I lived in my car with my kids and my dog. We went from having nothing to having a beautiful 3 bedroom home but I know exactly how fast everything could be gone. I never take it for granted. If you can’t be anything else, be kind.

@@adammm46473 I’m on disability but I was a single mom with 3 kids. I started small, I rented a shitty little rundown 2 bedroom trailer. It was horrible but I could handle the bills by myself. I took a little extra money each month & worked on building up my credit with secured credit cards/self. I put one bill (Spotify/cellphone) on each card & had it auto pay out of my account. When I started, my credit score was below 400. Over the course of 3 years I raised my credit score 280 points. I was approved for a FHA & USDA loan which covered my mortgage & most of my down payment. It was hard but it’s doable.

I haven’t watched these kind of videos in three years because I couldn’t do it because of my health. she mentioned someone named Mateo and you must be that Mateo. I don’t know why these come up on my stream but I watched a couple. I feel depressed the last few days. I have a house have a little money I’m just disabled and a little lonely. I have a brother and my son that lives with me, my husband died in 2019 right before Covid. I guess we can all feel lonely even when we have people around us. The way you care and think of others is so kind. My heart goes out to her family and to you for having to witness such tragedy. Mateo, sometimes we come in contact with a person or people who are here for us in our moment of need. You were that person who came to Brandy in her moment in need. You noticed Brandy and saw Brandy, you treated her with the utmost respect and made Brandy a loving meal because you probably wanted her to feel better, seeing that she was living in a car. A meal you denied yourself, but would probably do many times over to help her. You were raised right and Brandy was very fortunate to have you in her last few days, someone to treat her with respect and love. Don't feel bad, you're a good man. Don't feel bad for knowing Brandy's moved on. Brandy has got all the amenities for life she could ever want now.

Dude, tip: get into a morning routine to have a little tidy up. It makes life so much smoother, and you'll get more out of your day. I find chaos type mess impacts life in general. But i feel like he could benefit from knowing more about her story and that she’s truly free from the pain… she’s working thru it in heaven and wants to thank him for showing her sacrificial love at the end. You fed her, you re hydrated her but most importantly you talked to her and treated her with kindness and respect . I choose to think she is with Jesus now, at rest and with joy and no longer afraid or cold or hungry or in pain. God put you there when she needed you. Gosh Mateo! It is really amazing to see how far you have come in just a year! I think about you often because you inspired me with your determination to follow your own path to happiness. I mention you to my friends a lot because you serve as a great example of what it looks like to live authentically to yourself. I can imagine that this journey is far from easy, from adapting to living in your van 24/7 to the vulnerability that it takes for you to bring total strangers along as you navigate this new way of life. I think you are such a genuine and honorable person and I hope greatness continues to follow you. From the short time that I got to know you, I could tell that you have a good heart and I can only imagine how hearing the news about the lady must've impacted you. But please do not internalize the unfortunate outcome of what occurred. We are all human and continuously figuring things out as we go. You sharing this with all of us allows us to all be more vigilant and mindful to check on others who may not be as materialistically fortunate as us and extend a helping hand when we are capable. I wish you big success in whichever way(s) that looks like for you!

So many people would have just not noticed Brandy in her car, or would have looked the other way, but you stepped right up to the plate and offered friendship, cameraderie, compassion and practical help. That makes you one in a million in my eyes, and I think you've made the right decision to post this to encourage others to break the ice when they see someone struggling in this way. (There but for the grace of God, go all of us). I understand how distressing this was for you, but maybe in time to come you will be comforted by knowing that you enriched Brandy's last few days with your kindness.

That was really sweet of you to offer the coffee and breakfast. I am an older, disabled female veteran, and lived in my Jeep with my kitties for four years. It was not a self contained vehicle, but I made do, and would always try and share. Coffee or tea when it is cold. Some of the sweetest, kindest folks I met were in vehicles. Many who did not choose, and some who did.
it's crazy how this just popped up on my recommended with me having never watching road living videos before, but man I loved this video and had to sub! You're awesome for helping the lady in the car and you're vibe is super chill and friendly. I know this is two months old but can't wait to watch more vids you post, keep going and posting :D
