I used to work in a perfume and cologne fragrance store in 1990 and this stuff was awesome. Tried to find it at Macy's recently. The newer fragrances don't measure up and the Yves girl thought I was an idiot for asking for it. She'd sworn it wasn't a fragrance of theirs. Women loved this on a guy. It's my favorite.
YSL brought it back in the "La Collection" still for sale in department stores etc at least here in Europe, and The La collection version is pretty much the same as the preceding stuff.
Great review, I had this in 1992 second proper purchase after Kouros. I think the need for manufacturers to release new products drives this out of fashion message. They have marketers pushing the new in fragrance and rubbishing the past fragrances. Like you say what smelt good back then smells good today, technology changes so maybe some better longer lasting fragrances come out in future but don't trash what built upon.
Ysl jazz i had been searching for this scent for a long long time cuase i only could remember the whte and black bottel but not the name but with goodle and by searching very hard i finally found it and the name but sadly they dont have the older bottel look they ave it in a clear bottel and omg the best smell

I've been using Jazz by YSL as my Signature scent since it first came out in 1988 in a black & white plastic bottle. I can't believe that Jazz has suddenly become this popular after all of these years. The last time I bought this 3.3oz bottle last year I paid $45. for it, now it's being offered at triple that price and more. One last thing. It would have been nice if someone with more class that this guy did the critique on Jazz. He has no vocabulary to explain what Jazz is all about.
Wore this for years and its still one of my favourites I remember the black and white bottle yes half black and half white love it still

i used to have 3 variations the original Jazz, then Black and White...and Live Jazz...so sad if you are able to finde these they are expensive as well

I have worn Jazz since 1988. People who know me identify that smell with me! Problem is that it is very hard to find and more expensive than ever.
Not really it's still being made in the square bottle 80ml ,but not for much longer. It's not that expensive either.
Got to love the Jazz, I have all 3, but only a decant of Jazz Prestige as that is the real rare one to find.

I agree bud. Jazz is a classic fragrance!! I’ve been using it since the ‘90s. The dry down is really good and mellow 🎷🎺
