Hi Guys We are coming to Sardinia in Oct 2021 and would like an suggestions on what part of the island you recommend. We enjoy history, beaches and great food and wine. Were were not gong to rent a car and prefer to walk or hire a driver for a day. We are staying for 3 days Thanks and we are so happy to start traveling again
Hi B three days is a very short time to visit Sardinia but I am sure you’ll love it. If you go in October we would recommend the south of the island, Pula and Chia because it will be warmer down there.
Great job guys 4 of us are playing 10 to 12 days in May.What is your recommendation for home base cities to stay for a few days each and do day trips. It’s our first time to Sardinia .
It depends on whether you wanna live in a town always crowded all year long or very crowded only during summer time. I suggest to move to a town near Cagliari so you have many services, you enjoy the calm of a minor town, and have the beach just 15-20 minutes away by car, and you can always go to Cagliari to enjoy nightlife etc. But, i would not move to Europe since the economy is rapidly going down the drain and social turmoils will increase. Hi. The video was really informative. Im planning to go to Sardinia in the middle of September for 5 days. Would you recommend flying into Olbia or Cagliari? We like seeing the beach, architecture, and don't want to go travelling to too many places. Thanks!

Very informative video! You mention an amazing argriturismo in Santa Teresa di Gallura. Can you please share the name? My husband and I will be visiting the island next June and would appreciate the recommendation. Thank you
Planning trip in late june, 8 days, what would be your ideal 2 -3 places stay, should we rent a car or travel by Trian/Bus/car service between towns. I read that rental car company are unethical. looking to relax and get some culture, history and beaches.
Hello Michael, thank you for your comment. With 8 days I would stay in the north east side of the island, and do day trip to all the wonderful beaches and the Maddalena archipelago. You should rent a car because public transit in Sardinia is not the best. Just make a reservation in advance for the car with a well known car rental company and you’ll be fine. Please let us know if you need more help
Loved your video guys. Can you please suggest me any car rental options? Also, where should I stay in north. @Michael, I have also plans to go in June.
The beach you call Is Arenas (the sands) is called Is Aruttas, (the caves), IS Arenas is a very large beach that is located a little further north between sa rocca tunda and torre del pozzo, however congratulations for the nice service to the Sardinia, hello.
Hello guys! I really liked your video! Our family and friends (with three children aged 8) will visit Sardinia in July 2024. We will be staying near Olbia, Brandinci and La Impostu beaches, but I am worried from what I have read about the bans and restrictions on the beaches! Is there really a limit on the number of visitors to the beaches and is it possible that we will not be allowed? Are beach towels prohibited and is there a charge for the beaches? Any tips? Thank you very much! :)
Hello there, Cala Brandichi is one of the most popular beach on the island and in high season can be really busy. However there are plenty of stunning beaches around that are less busy. There are no charges for beaches unless you want to rent the chairs. The only other charge is parking
Thank you Chris, last summer practically everything was open with very few rules such as tables 1 meter apart at restaurants and mask wearing in stores. Other than that was pretty normal 😃
Thanks for sharing this. We are going to visit this weekend. We will be in the town of Arbatax. Your video was very helpful it looks like there 2 really nice beaches a couple hours from us.
I am trying to find out where the salt pans are located my Trapanese ancestors were sent to Sardinia to create them. Two brothers last name Gianquinto they received titles I hope to uncover more about this story in my family. You mentioned the tuna but not the famous salt which I just recently purchased Grazie !
First time to Sardinia two couples ( older) we have about 10 days ( September) there and 10 in Sicily. We want to stay in two places and day trip from them ( flying into Cagliari) what do you recommend?Tom
Hello Tom from Cagliari one of the best place to stay is Chia the beach there is wonderful, another great place is Villasimius not far from Cagliari and another wonderful beach

Hello we are going this 2022 aug for our 10 yr wedding anniversary. Staying in Cagliari. Have a car and plan on seeing as much as possible of the island. Suggesting s?
From Milan you can take a short plane ride to Sardinia. You will need to rent a car on the island. Alternatively you can drive to Genova or Livorno and take the Ferry. I know one water park near Baja Sardinia in the north east part of the island
Sardinia looks absolutely stunning! Will be visiting for the month of September 2022. Is English widely used or understood by locals on the island? My Italian is very limited and do not know any sardo.
Nice video. We are going to Sardinia for a week in August. In terms of lodging, do you recommend splitting our time between to areas - maybe one place toward south and one toward north and driving as needed to see things in between? Where should we base ourselves? Thanks!
It all depends on what you want to see. If you are going in August for one week probably you should stay in one single place and move around from there. It is the busiest month and finding a hotel in august might be a challenge.
@@TravelAddictsLife Thanks. We are mostly interested in beaches with some ability to see one or two distinctive towns. Less interested in shopping. So we figured we would split our time between one part of the island and another, but open to choosing one area and driving from there if that is most logical. There is still some hotel availability, but agree that it is getting more difficult.
Good morning Kate the first farm stay is called Agnata and it is in the mountain near Tempio Pausania. The second one is no longer good, last time we went was terrible so we won't recommend it to you!
We will do 😀 If you want to experience really traditional and wonderful Sardinia food you should try a place near Santa Teresa in the north a called "La Tegghia" it is amazing and it has an incredible view at sunset. Also very very good near Arzachena also in the north another restaurant called "San Giovanni" but word of caution you will be eating A LOT at San Giovanni!
What would be the most beautiful beach in your opinion? I would like to find a beach with white sand, crystal blue water and without too many people in northern Sardinia. From the video I saw many locations but I would like your opinion .If you would help me I would be grateful.Thank you!
In our opinion liscia ruja is the best one in northern Sardinia. Another other one is marmorata near Santa Teresa. The best water is in the Maddalena archipelago, but that is only reachable by boat. You can see the archipelago in our video called amazing Sardinia 😃
Yes in January is cold! We have temperature of about 6/10° it depends. Sardinia is good in summer from May to September. Best period from my opinion as I am from Sardinia is middle June, all July. August can be busy and sometimes we see the first rains.
@@TravelAddictsLife do you guys maybe know how I could find good cheap apartments and roommates/ a flat share in Sardinia and a bartender/waitress job? If you guys could respond to this it would help me so much!!! I appreciate anything you guys could tell me :)
Guys, thanks for sharing this video. This is what I was looking for. Just had some queries: 1) where should I stay if I have to cover north italy. 2) renting a car costs what amount? Do we need driving license? 3) Cost for Renting a small boat? 4) what all beaches can be covered by public transport? And for which areas I defenately need a car? If stay near Palau(just example)
Hi Rahul, thank you for your comment. Regarding question 1 we are not really sure what you mean? Do you want to stay somewhere in Northern Italy close to the port? Renting a car in Sardinia will cost you around €75 per day. You will need a driver licence (You can check out our video about driving in Italy: ruclips.net/video/ZUrYaPqSAkw/видео.html) We have never rented a small boat we usually do boat tours our favourite one is with the following company: www.velierivalentina.com/en/ we also never used public transit in Sardinia, we always used our own car. You'll need a car pretty much everywhere to move around the island.
Unfortunately there are no busses that take you to the beaches. Public transit in Sardinia is not very big. If you want to visit several beaches maybe consider a boat tour
What part of Sardinia would you say is the nicest? I can’t decide between Olbia, Alghero or Cagliari for my trip in June! ☀️We will be traveling without a car.

Loved the video. Super helpful and so many good tips. Travelling from Singapore to Sardinia in January. Are the beaches/waters too cold then?
Thank you 🙏 yes in January the water is cold there, it you will be able to see the beaches with no people 😍😍
Yes in January is cold! We have temperature of about 6/10° it depends. Sardinia is good in summer from May to September. Best period from my opinion as I am from Sardinia is middle June, all July. August can be busy and sometimes we see the first rains.
I was thinking of moving there for a certain time what do you guys think about this idea ?
It is a beautiful island, if you can move there, why not! 😀
@@TravelAddictsLife do you guys maybe know how I could find good cheap apartments and roommates/ a flat share in Sardinia and a bartender/waitress job? If you guys could respond to this it would help me so much!!! I appreciate anything you guys could tell me :)
@@teresabaumuller537 Unfortunately we don't, sorry about that.
Guys, thanks for sharing this video. This is what I was looking for. Just had some queries:
1) where should I stay if I have to cover north italy.
Il top Sardegna ♥️ e unica
Sardinia vs Sicily???
Which one would you recommend for two 55+ year olds on their first trek to Italy?
It all depends on what you like to do. If you want blue water, sandy beaches Sardinia. If you prefer art, ancient cities than Sicily
Thank you so much for replying. Your videos are helpful. Good health, more travels, and cheers to you both.
Can you guys give some tips for someone who doesn’t drive a car but wants to visit these “wild” beaches? Are there busses that connect these places?
Unfortunately there are no busses that take you to the beaches. Public transit in Sardinia is not very big. If you want to visit several beaches maybe consider a boat tour
Hey! I loved the video! I intend to go there in August! how many days did you stay to know all this?
Thank you; we did one week this time 😃
@@TravelAddictsLife 😀thanks
Okay
What part of Sardinia would you say is the nicest? I can’t decide between Olbia, Alghero or Cagliari for my trip in June! ☀️We will be traveling without a car.
They are all pretty beautiful, it is a tough choice. Our favorite is the Maddalena area
@@TravelAddictsLife Thank you! :)
yes, but are there any beaches with crystal clear waters and white sand in Sardinia?
There are plenty
Is it worth to go there in February for swimming?
Unfortunately in February it is too cold for swimming
I need information about renting boat or small yacht for 2 to3 hours n how much it can cost
Depends on where you are in Sardinia. In the north of the island a private yacht would cost you around €1000 for the day.
Is it easy to drive a car in Sardinia and how much it cost per day
@@MustafaAli-vp6or It depends on the car rental. Probably is more convenient if you bring your own car.
Vi piace? Ovvio, non capisco quel che dite ma come pensare il contrario? Thank you
Certo che ci piace 😍vado in Sardegna da quando avevo 13 anni
Do you need a car or does the bus transportation system work just fine?
You'll need a car for sure, public transit is a bit limited in Sardinia
What about the inland ?
We will have to make another video for that 👍🏻
Do tou guys live on Sardinia?
No we live in northern Italy but we vacation in Sardinia often
Many thanks for the luvly information about Sardinia👌just bought Sardinia red wine for dinner tonight 👌looking towards to come here for hiking cycling n some swimming too once all ok🙏👌🙏🍺cheers n stay safe always 🙏
You are very welcome! We hope you liked the sardinian wine! 😀
@@TravelAddictsLife my first Sardinia red wine n yes I gave a big thumbs up👌👍⚽️

Hello ... I am travelling in August ... I will be based in Cagliari .. will rent a car for 4 days ... Can you offer a suggestions for my 4 days with a vehicle?
You should definitely go to Chia which is one of the most stunning beach on the island. Also Porto Pino with the huge sand dunes is spectacular
@@TravelAddictsLife Thank you for such a quick response !!!
You are very welcome
I will be going to bosa in May 2024
Beautiful 😍
Sardinia is a nation, as her culture..her language.. Most important then of sea and coast..
I am investigating moving to Sardinia could you give me some tips how to set up there as a single person… grazie in anticipo… also can I bring my cat?
It all depends where you want to set up in Sardinia. Regarding the cat we don’t know sorry 😢
You can, unless the trip is too long, only by boat though.
Where is a nice part for single person close to sea
There are nice all inclusive resorts in the south that are great for singles
North Sardinia the best part of island! Stintino's Pelosa beach is number one jn Sardinia, number one in Italy, number one in Europe and number one in the world!!!!
It definitely is 👍🏻
No, it is the south.
No, is interior
Stupid number one
vorrei vedere lísola si San Pietro
È molto bella soprattutto Carloforte 👍🏻
Hi Guys 🙌🏻 just one thing at 8:59 the Name of the Beach is not correct! The right Name is “is arutas” translate in english is “ the stones “ byeeeeeee
Thank you Carlo for the clarification 👍🏻
