- Let's talk about Adams Polishes and all the counterfeits out there. There are SO MANY of them. NOTE: I'm not singling out Adams in particular, but they are probably the most counterfeited product in the detailing community right now. There are MANY others out there.

Can't wait for side to side comparison
Liked the video. Looking forward to see the comparison test!
Thanks scott!
Cool, curious to see the rest of the test! 👍 👍 👍
Really interesting video Scott , can’t wait to see your comparison test , have used nano bond in the past with good results!
Thanks for the heads up!
Thanks Scott! :)
Pays to be curious, cheers Scott. Either they can match the quality at a fraction of the price (highly doubtful) or too many people are happy to slap anything on their vehicles. Either way it's crazy.
Agreed!
When will you make a comparison video?
Hey Scott, I've purchase a couple of China Adams Advanced Graphene, did it on my personal vehicle, beading and sheeting is on par with the real stuff, only time will tell!
update: it failed a week in, no clue as to why but it is definitely not the same as the real deal
@@justinshu5487did you decontaminate the car? a coating needs a pure clean surface so ideally needs compounding before hand, ive seen pro ones fail after few days due to poor decontamination stage.
Well... that sucks. Hope Adams team resolve this. Best bet is yo buy them directly and avoid any "sales" outside of their site
Um, its not adams problem. Like how fake Nike shoes isn't Nike's problem. Its only the problem of the people who try to save a little money and get ripped off.
I'm sure they know about it... they are too big of a company to not realize it.
Hello, it was the same for me with Nanoage coating. After your video I have buy on amazon and it was impossible to dry.... like if it was very much diluate
Could you explain further? Thank you
@@ScottHD of course, so I have apply in good condition in the art of detailing, it was 17° Celsius and 55% humidity, even after a waiting time of 30 minutes, it should to be sticky to remove, in this case it was too easy, like a fat wax, not sticky at all. I have keep the paper towel, because normaly 2 days after, the paper is like a carton. With the nanoage it was soft. barely medium rigid.
@@existenzalegra3232 it is possible that you may have a bad batch of it. That is the main issue with the super cheap coatings is that they sometimes are not consistent with how they perform. Nanoage and nanobond seem better than the others regarding that, however.
I've been using Adam's for a couple years. You mentioned other brands that are better pro-sumer brands. What is the best one you can buy and a normal consumer. Price is not a concern. Thanks, love your channel
UD Pro+ has been outstanding for me.. Pro has been going 24months on some customer cars so far and 40,000+ miles and only wear spots are around the wheels where sand and stuff blasts it off the paint.
Feynlab Ceramic Lite, Gyeon has a few (MOHS+, Q2 Cancoat), and a couple chinese ones like NanoAge or NanoBond to name a few.
Chinese coatings that only cost 15 bucks perform the same as Adams man.
@@MeliorIlle which one do you personally use and recommend? thanks

Is there a reliable test that can prove if a product actually contains graphene?
These products may or may not contain it.
Other than sending it in for chemical analysis (can be very expensive), I honestly don't know.
I wonder if some of the Adam's stuff that didn't perform well were fakes.
It was purchased through Amazon, but I'd have to go back and look - but I'm like 95% sure it was "Shipped and sold by Adams Polishes"
I ordered some of this last year and immediately noticed the difference in label, shade of product while out in sunlight. And mine had no scent at all. The seller tried to argue with me on ebay so I had to file a complaint.
Oh wow...they're on ebay now too! Yeah the real stuff smells like straight up jet fuel! It'll tingle the nose hairs!
The reality is that most of these “Pro” companies are doing nothing more than white labeling products from Asia and this was proven to me by someone who used to work for ceramic pro.
I’ve also purchased multiple coatings from multiple different companies and some of them smell and apply exact the same. The ceramic coating market is all smoke and mirrors.
It wouldn’t shock me if this is the exact same product that Adams uses.
The reality is that the Chinese manufacturers aren’t as big of crooks as the “American” companies that are the ones buying 20,000 units of something and slapping their own label on it. Not to say these AliExpress sellers aren’t shady but trust me, the ceramic coating wormhole is deeper than Asian companies “ripping off” so called “American” made companies.
Clone Wars. It would be funny if the fake Adams outperformed the original. I wonder if the fake comes with the UV light as well.
...or someone knocks off the knockoff 🤔
@@ScottHD They should just call the coating Knocks with a fancy logo and label. Kind of catchy name I think.
Let me guess, China?
**winner winner** :)
Graphing is a gimmick when it comes to ceramic coatings what you’re looking for is the concentration of SI O2 that is what the real make up of ceramic coatings are so don’t fall into the gimmick
When I was researching many of these products, the SDS show that some had like 0.0001% graphite (or graphene)
Reduced Graphene Oxides are not snake oil. Watch videos of the chemists that blend it. They explain in detail what it does and doesn't do....
What is this? A ceramic coating with food dye or something? 😂
It actually smells the same - I figured it was soap and water or something!
@@ScottHD 🤣.
How ya doing man? It’s been a while since I’ve commented here!
@@CobraKaiNoMercy living the dream! 😎
its really astonishing info for me .because I bought my Adams spray coating with a fairly cheap prize . I hope its not fake one .🥲
