FT 101 with some problems Part 6

Maybe that JFET from the last video isn't bad after all. Explanation of what made me think I tested it wrong the first time, since I couldn't find a datasheet and didn't know the pinout for sure. So what else might be the problem with SSB output? Let see if we can find other things to look at.

Just to add the germanium diodes in the DBM can fail

mine only xmits on 7megs and 3.5mhz, could this be the trouble, please?

Hi buddy i have the same fault ,i looked at the modulator boars buffer all ok ,have you looked at the HF if modual ? and the frequency output into the driver tube ? at 29MHZ i have 25.8 MHZ looks like the mod oscilator is not mixing to give 29MHZ.
