I love this. I started my channel and got monetized overnight. Literally. I did a live show and woke up to 5k subs. My first month I made $3,700. But doing true crime was rough. The trolls and drama pushed me away in just a couple of months and I stopped posting. I wish I kept going and just ignored it all. Great channel and I wish you all the best. Keep going!

It was in the back of my mind but it really started out "just for fun" and to share my "maddness." Last year it started occurring to me that if I could monetize my channel, I could possibly support my craft through the channel. I'm still learning the ropes here and ultimately I STILL do this for the love of it. If I earn "paper" money, all the better. Thank you for sharing! Ive never seen one of your videos before, but congrats on getting to where you are. That's so much work, and to not see much for the first year and still keep up the work ethic, is really impressive.
First of all, thank you for your honesty and sharing your $ numbers. Many channels are very vague with dollar amounts so it's hard to get the real picture. I loved all the stats! Secondly, I for one, do watch less videos in the summer. It's just a busier time and you want to be outdoors. The same is true for the hustle and bustle of December. I find during those times I pick and choose the shorter channels to watch. (I don't have 45-60 minutes to watch content.) Congratulations on your first successful monetized year. I'm happy for you.

I recently got monetized (not this channel) and my views and growth have crashed immediately, something I did not expect at all, to be honest. I did however get monetized in under three months, therefore the surprise that my channel is not doing well at the moment. But the point: I'll keep posting, I'll keep learning and we will see how it'll go. For my channel community is the most important part, so I'm trying to nurture the community while trying new things to hopefully see some growth again. Seeing this does give me motivation!

It would be very interesting to hear about your earnings from brand deals. You do not have to be specific necessarily about which brands but I am so curious to know how negotiations happen and if brands reach out to you or you reach out to them. And ball park totals from doing add deals as a comparison to ad revenue. Love your videos! Keep it up! :)
Upload frequency does seem to coincide with fast growth. Once you snag your niche audience it’s important to feed them steady content. The most successful creators like Shelby Church don’t even try to edit their own videos. So you create loads of great content and your editor packages it. Fortunately you can find editors online very affordably. But times change and even Shelby is seeing a YT drop off. It’s crucial now to be on TikTok too.

Thank you so much for this video, it was so interesting to see how fluctuating it can be. I recently got monetized (not this channel) and my views and growth have crashed immediately, something I did not expect at all, to be honest. I did however get monetized in under three months, therefore the surprise that my channel is not doing well at the moment. But the point: I'll keep posting, I'll keep learning and we will see how it'll go. For my channel community is the most important part, so I'm trying to nurture the community while trying new things to hopefully see some growth again. Seeing this does give me motivation!

It would be very interesting to hear about your earnings from brand deals. You do not have to be specific necessarily about which brands but I am so curious to know how negotiations happen and if brands reach out to you or you reach out to them. And ball park totals from doing add deals as a comparison to ad revenue. Love your videos! Keep it up! :)

Upload frequency does seem to coincide with fast growth. Once you snag your niche audience it’s important to feed them steady content. The most successful creators like Shelby Church don’t even try to edit their own videos. So you create loads of great content and your editor packages it. Fortunately you can find editors online very affordably. But times change and even Shelby is seeing a YT drop off. It’s crucial now to be on TikTok too.
