- how much i made in my first month of being monetized, how long it took me to get monetized, and what i made in my first paycheck with 3000 subscribers! i am breaking down my analytics and showing the growth of my channel in 2022!
when i first created my channel i constantly asked: how much do small youtubers make? how much do you make in your first month? how do they grow? so now that i am starting to figure out the answers, i thought i would share what i have learned!
i love these videos and thought i would make one myself sharing my growth journey on youtube. all the time i wish i knew when my favorite creators got monetized, how they grew, and when they hit certain milestones, so i thought i would create a video highlighting that for myself.
i am so grateful for the growth on my channel over the past 2 months and i couldn't do it without you all ❤️

youtube growth is strange cause like it took me 2 years to get to 1,000 subscribers but then two weeks after i hit 1k I got 2k and now I have a little over 5k but some of the creators I know gained 100k in a week

I've watched soooooo many of these videos and I always get annoyed when the person is misleading and doesn't state how much of grind it is to grow a channel from scratch and with no piror expierence. This was a great and transparent video! Happy to hear about another persons success on this platform.

I'll be honest, I found my way here via the videos you have done about your RUclips channel, not from your vlogs. Our channels and target audience couldn't be more different ~ BUT ~ you have made me feel really motivated and inspired - that is something to be proud of, and I just want to say thank you so much for your help! It has allowed me to understand what I need to do to achieve my goals. I have even felt inspired to film a vlog of my weekend to see what my followers make of that - a weekend in the life of a witch! 🙂 A week ago monetising RUclips felt like an impossible task, this week it feels like it could be possible. I love this; you come over honest and sincere. Other than for a few videos for family and friends, having them follow me on a 16-month bicycle adventure, I did nothing with my channel until mid-January this year (2022), when I started helping people with all forms of self-publishing. From low content to tens of thousands of words, I am an author and indie publisher.
I seem to be following a similar pattern as you. I have the week, reached 1k subs, and I'm thrilled. I didn't think I'd get that until at least a year of uploading. I'm still a long way from monetization, but it will come. Well done. Steve

I’m loving your videos. I found one of them yesterday in my “recommendations”, a video where you were moving into your new apartment. I find it fascinating how people in NYC live - the spaces they live in, how they organize their space, store things, etc. and how they go about their lives in a huge city where most people don’t have a vehicle to drive…as this is a life so unlike mine in a Texas suburb. I love this realistic take! I have been watching a lot of these types of videos lately, and you are the most down to earth and genuine. Subscribed!
I have been having a lot of growth on my channel and might hit the requirement for subscribers in less than a week based on how it has been growing! I have had enough watch hours for a while because my channel is my music (and sometimes ambience). It is really exciting, and I truly never thought this was possible to even make more than 200 subscribers on this channel. It felt so far out of reach for so long. Obviously have a ways to go, and need to get approved, but these videos make me so excited for what might come.
I had a break like you. I think I had less than 50, and was kind of burnt out with it. It was more of a hobby too. I didn't really think anything would happen - though I had that little hope like everyone does haha. Then I came back in January with new, improved software to make better sounding music, and really fit what my vision was when I started out.

I literally found your channel through your apartment hunting series because my husband and I were also apartment hunting in NYC at the time but we got lucky and signed a lease with our 4th viewing. I do think your videos are super helpful though for people looking to live right in Manhattan because it’s super competitive and can at times be mentally exhausting!
