    Gotta love the V3! Just moved mine over from my Enduro axles to a set of Capra Axles just to compare.👍🏼 Merry Christmas!🎅🏻

    Another awesome video and keep up the amazing work. But the problem that I have is these two rigs are way different from each other, from the drivers diving style, Weight distribution etc. now if the rigs where identical and the only thing that was changed was the chassis that would be a good comparison. And yes I have had the Gspeed V1, V2 chassis when they first came out. But that’s My opinion. Merry Christmas and happy New Year’s

      Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. As for the rigs, the rigs are not as different as you would imagine them to be. Yes, there will be inherent weight difference due to the different chassis and the different body, but underneath it is pretty much the same rig. My friend built it to my specification, basically duplicating my build. We have pretty much the same brass weights added to the front, and the weight distribution should be at 60/40 or very close to it. He was planning to go Gspeed, but I told him to build it up first and run it on Element chassis to feel the difference between it and Gspeed chassis. Two of my friends both went this route, which is the same route that I took (if I look back...I started with RTR and modded to a level that I felt that it was performing well..basically what my friends build are at). Since the time I filmed this video, both of my friends picked up Gspeed V3 chassis and built them up, and we got to test out the Gspeed chassis build earlier today, only change being the chassis, and both of them were blown away at how different the rig feels. Truly it's a game changer. It just elevates the performance to a new level. As for driving style, my friend has been in this hobby way longer than I have. He owns the Gmade R1 that you have seen in my other videos. He knows how to drive, but it does take a bit to get used to driving a new rig, while I have been driving my Enduro for over a year. The idea of video was to illustrate a high level comparison between two rigs. More detailed comparison would involve 2 identical rigs, only difference being the chassis and me driving both, but since I don't have that luxury...it was never meant to be an identical true comparison.

      @@BigSungHobbies I see what you are saying when it comes to both rigs. I have built plenty of cheap and or expensive rigs in the past 33 years. They are all different but As a long as we are all having fun building and playing with RC’s that’s what matters.

    Yo big sung! Love the content and also ordered up a Gspeed for my og scx 10. And also the performance scx24 chassis. But have a element kit on the way and instead of the hard plastic parts was thinking of going straight to Gspeed. I have a question tho. Why did y’all not keep the BTA steering?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 года назад +1

      My recommendation is to build up the element kit. Play with it a bit to get a feel for how the rig feels, then swap it over to Gspeed. This way, you can get a feel for how much performance difference there is between the two. I recommended this to my friends who are showcased on my videos. Now they truly understand the difference, and have appreciation of what a LCG chassis can do. As for BTA steering, the main reason I moved it to front is that in order for me to mount the shock body at the bottom while having the springs up top for a bit better CG (heavier side near the bottom), it didn't quite work with BTA. There was quite bit of rubbing at extreme end of steering. Since then I have moved back to BTA steering, and just positioned the front shock normally. Having both drag link and steering link in the front seem to cause issue with screw that holds the knuckle to c-hub. I have brass front knuckle and aluminum c-hub. Even with blue locktite, it gets loose, and I had to constantly tighten it down, and it only happens on the right side where my drag link and steering link connects.

      Thanks and I use top 2nd hole from the center of chassis.

    Fun video and nice crawling! However the comparison isn't really valid with so many factors at play. Different tires, suspension setups, bodies play a huge role, and who knows how the electronics / lipo are laid out.

      I agree, but it does give you a feel for how the two vehicles behave. And the two vehicles are a lot similar than you would imagine. In many cases, he has slightly better components than my LCG truck, better shocks, better motor, a bit more weight up front (mine is at 59% front while his was at 61% front). The biggest downside is that his Jeep body is 86g heavier than my Creep body (80g versus 166g), and the differences from the 2 different chassis. There is a reason that I told my friends to build the kit first, and modify it to the best level possible, and then do the LCG conversion. I went through the same path. I maxed out the performance out of stock chassis, and then just upgraded to LCG chassis, using the same specs (same tires, same body, same shocks, same motor and ESC, same high clearance links) and saw a huge performance improvement. Now that 2 of my friends went this route, they can vouch for the performance difference as well. The best way to see it is for yourself is to take the same approach. Let me know if you go that route and what your impression is.

      Hehe, I will let him know :) In defense of him, a bit of frustration was on him, because he just couldn't pull the same lines in the initial hour. We were there for few hours. He started to settle down and have better control as the day went, but my camera battery died by then. The stock chassis has limitation to its performance, and this is from my personal experience as mine used to be stock chassis for at least 8 months before I upgraded to LCG chassis. Simple change, but it totally took my Element Enduro to next level of performance.

      That is true, but unfortunately, the Jeep Element is not my rig, and I try to avoid driving others. I will try to keep that in mind for future though. Merry Christmas to you too as well!

  • @sgtlt

    the Element is still sitting way to high, some shock keys and lower it and the difference will very little

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  3 года назад

      He actually had shock keys installed on it. But his Jeep Gladiator body is definitely mounted a bit higher than I would have done it, and it is heavier than my Creep body which doesn't help with CG. As for difference, you have to try it out. Another reason, I told them to build, modify it, and run it to see how the rig does before swapping in the Gspeed chassis.

      There are a lot of rangers at Castle Rock, so you want to avoid there. Just past the parking lot, there is parking for Indian Rock Trail...park there and find rocks at that trail...and make sure to not hang around the parking lot.
