In R&C2, you have two weapon slots, primary and secondary. The game doesn't "empty" your secondary slot when starting a new game. So equip the swingshot right before killing the final boss, then switch to a weapon and beat the game. Then once in NG+, the swingshot will still be in your secondary weapon slot. So as long as you don't select a weapon while "holding" another weapon, you'll always have the swingshot in your secondary weapon slot.
@@feargames4270 oh sorry I just missed this information without wanting to , because I didn't understand it (My English isn't perfect because I'm Romanian and I probably didn't understand at the time)
I'm confused. I can see why using the shortcut for the Imsoniac Museum would put you on Boldan on your way back, but how come you had stuff from the skipped levels? Like, why did you have the Swingshot or the Charge Boots?
Charge boots carry over into challenge mode regardless, then swingshot is a bit more complicated. Swingshot storage is a design oversight in which when you defeat protopet to enter challenge mode, whatever weapon/gadget was your secondary at that time remains into the ng+ file. This way, you can keep and use swingshot in a new file.
Yeah, funny story about this: I actually found out when I recently did speedruns for Ratchet 1 through Deadlocked (Completely amateur NG+ speedruns), and I played all of R&C2 without Charge Boots because I thought I had to unlock them again and didn't want to lose time doing the race to get them. Then in R&C3 I was planning to lose time on Daxx to get them because it was annoying playing without them, an accidentally noticed I could already use them, then realized that I probably had them in 2 and wasted a lot of time. @@feargames4270
I play on an american ps2, black label copy of the game. Backwards compatible ps3 has a lot of issues which have lead us as a community to timegate it (essentially ban the console at a competitive level).
"The man who broke Ratchet and Clank Going commando in half"
Tha rixer moment

Good to see there’s the classic world record bonk
It really seems like you get a new world record everyday
Only when Im in my bag. Going to APB now so probably no world records for a long while
@@feargames4270 doubt it you’ll probably do better then you think
That Aranos to Boldan skip blew my mind.
I didn't notice it until my second time watching O_o
IMG is a classic haha. Possible in some shape or form in every version of the game. Can’t believe it’s so easy to skip 2/3 of the game lol
Imagine Insomniac Games sees this :D
when the vibe pays off
How did you do for the swingshot like , how did you've got it ???
