  • Today I visited the amazing three shires heads waterfall in the peak district. It was a fantastic day weather-wise and I managed to capture a couple of landscape photographs that I was really pleased with. Landscape photography in the peak district is always a pleasure and a great place to walk and explore in an environment that is so different to where I live. It takes me about 2 hours to reach the edge of the park by car, so its an ideal place for me to visit on a fairly regular basis.
    I am off to Snowdonia very soon, so look out for more landscape photography vlogs.
    The whole video was shot on the fuji xt2 and mavic air.
    It still amazes me how capable the fuji xt2 is for video use and very underrated I feel in this area.

    Good work Ian. I did this exact walk and location last week...Not the easiest of walks there or back! Next time, I'll park up by that chimney on the road.

    Quality vlog, Ian. Very informative. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Think my favourite was the lone tree shot. Worth it even though you had to deal with the dead sheep.

      Daniel Cabral thanks Daniel, I think it is easier on the eye. Not so much going on. The pano seems a little busy to me. I actually think the pano looked better in colour. Thanks again for your time and feedback. 👍 ☺

    Fab video Ian. Never managed down to the Peak District.... yet. Hopefully soon. I like the way you had your mind set on B&W images so you visualise what would work and what wouldn't.

      Thanks Stuart. It is a lovely part of the world, does get busy in the summer though. Yeah, I really like to visualize a black and white before I take the shot. I find it very rewarding. Thanks again for your time and comments. :)

    Hi Ian, enjoyed the video. I like the penultimate shot with no sky; I think a bland sky can dilute the quality of an image at this location.

      Steve Ball Thanks steve, yeah!! glad you liked it. Always nice to get some shots closer in. It has quite alot going on and can look a little busy with the wider shots. 👍

    I did like the panoramic👍👍 It can be tough to,shoot those with filters on. Nice job with both images. Some lovely contrast and I think black and white and water go hand in hand. Peak District is another location on my list:) Thanks for sharing.

      Diego McCartney Thanks Diego, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah the pano was quite difficult to get right. It wasn't my favorite from the images I took but enjoyable none the less. Thanks again buddy. 👍

    Excellent vlog Ian - I've just figured out how to watch vlogs on the big screen via Apple TV and yours was the first and it looked great 😀 Loved the double waterfall pano - that was def my favourite although all were great shots!

      Jamie Overland Thanks Jamie, glad you liked it. I've never watched any on the TV so I'm glad it came out good for you. When I can get the kids off the Xbox I will give it a go. Thanks again for your time ☺👍

    Nice production Ian. To come away with a printed pdf which wasn’t readable is just not acceptable.😬 The fact that you got within a foot of a dead sheep is worthy of a medal. Lovely smooth b roll. Of all the shots, the very last 2 were my favs. Of the wider scene, I prefer the portrait. I just felt the waterfalls in the pano were a bit lost and didn’t have much impact in the composition. You really showcased the location very well and well narrated throughout. Good work Ian 😬👍

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  6 лет назад +1

      James R Burns Cheers bud. Really appreciate your time and feedback. My pick was the first shot with the dead sheep. Totaly know what you mean about the pano. Sometimes trying to get everything in makes you loose more. Off to Snowdonia next week and have my os maps at the ready. ☺ Thanks again 👍

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  6 лет назад

      Thanks Senja, glad you liked it. I'm currently using the fuji x-t2 with the rode video micro. The mic does a pretty decent job as long as you are directly in front of it as its a directional mic. Thanks again :)
