Oh Mah Gwad! The size comparison! I have a Ryobi brad nailer and an M12 stapler. When you put both of those pin nailers next to each other that was massively helpful. Always appreciate your honest reviews.
Just purchased this Pin Nailer last night wanted to see something before I started using it. Super pleased with all the info I saw on this video. getting ready to use today! Thank you,
LOVE the vids Clint and my M12 pin nailer. Just like you, I’ve been using it the last couple of days and it’s GREAT! It’s real NICE LIKE! It’s so LIGHT it’s CRAZY! Oh by the the way NICE VCG hat in the background on your work bench. Love that you support other channels!! 👍🏼
I just switched over to the Milwaukee platform (always been a Makita user) I’ve got the M18 fuel impact and hammer drill, the 7 1/4” mitre saw and the installation driver. I’m a professional contractor (mainly on the finishing side) and this pin nailer and the brad nailer are my next purchases. That and the packout vacuum. That packout system is so freaking nice, too!
@@ToolReviewZone seems that way. And now they are going to force people to buy an entirely new line of tools if they want upgraded battery technology. Awful thing to do in my opinion.
Thank you Clint! I will definitely gift the Milwaukee to my friend for his birthday. If I used by Ryobi more often I'd probably pick up one for myself too lol
I had the Ryobi pin nailer because I didn’t want to wait for the Milwaukee to come out. I didn’t like it because it was big and heavy. It wouldn’t drive in all the way if your angle was off a little and was a major pain. Returned it and got the Milwaukee and never looked back. It’s perfect for its size and weight installing cabinets. And love I have a depth adjustment.
Hi TRZ, Yup, the safety switch is going to take some time to get use to. Just like the ryobi, once you push in that safety switch it will fire when you hit the main trigger. So everyone make sure you're on the wood surface then pull both trigger and switch. Boy will be boys. You know someone is going to use this for target practice 🤣 Thanks for the video Michael C
I love this tool man. The wait was worth it! It is so solid and works really really well. It feels so close to my pneumatic pinner... BUT NO HOSE & NO COMPRESSOR!!!.... Woaaaah The 1.5 which I had no respect for but thus far... the best for this nailer and I have a few of those that i near never used... till now! I admit I may have fired a few pins into a cardboard target... Ok only only only maybe shortcoming is it does not do the longer pins... but... honestly if not having the longest pins made this thing smaller - worth it. Yes finish nailer!
I haven't had a chance to use mine yet since I got it on Tuesday, I just ordered a bunch of different length nails for it. Smeesh that like button. 👀👉🏽 👍🏽
Acme Tool just delivered mine yesterday with some new Milwaukee Hole Saw cases. I bought the bare tool because I hate those crappy m12 chargers! Bro, I was taken back at how small this thing is it’s not until you hold it in your hands do you understand it’s tiny size. Can’t wait to try it out awesome review Clint!
I don't intend on buying this since I am a 1st year Carpenter but this is the first tool where I wouldn't bother upgrading to the 6ah battery. I've done some finish carpentry and I cannot see myself going through even a 4ah battery in a single day.
I love the pin Nailer only thing I would like Milwaukee to do is make it a fuel version for more longevity of the motor..great videos by the way love the content and time you put in..I'd love to see Milwaukee come out with a gen 2 30°15 guage finish nailer..I had the gen 1 and it was like the gen 1 brad nailer needed improvement gen 2 brad nailer is perfect now..Hopefully Milwaukee listens and delivers
The order nailers definitely weren't all that great, but I've heard so many state they wanted the return of the 15 gauge bro. Hope they are listening 👊
No reason to want a fuel version right now. You have no idea the longevity it will have as of now. Fuel kinda loses its meaning if everything is fuel anyhow.
sheet metal guy but the Milwaukee 16 gauge double cut shear (the one with the blue head) is also a perfect tool. Thing tears through heavy gauge metal at least 5 times faster than a grinder. The Hilti SPN4-A22 Nibbler is also a very nice tool at a high price and even more niche,. I cut perfect circles in an air handler housing to make holes for plumbing into a new heating coil (VERY heavy metal on those old beasts). Same gauge of panel I can hold the tool upside down with 2 fingers and it will eat through vertically with 0 force applied. I would love to see you review the double cut shear, everyone I show those 2 tools are pretty amazed by them. The Hilti SB4-A22 bandsaw is pretty damn boss too. Aluminium housing, high RPMs, kicks the shit out of my old Milwaukee 3 inch bandsaw which was already pretty freakin sweet.
I agree, finish nailer need an update to match rest of line. Glad to see it next to Ryobi because i WAS considering that nailer as well. Finally, my only complaint is price. I feel like 139-169 bare tool would have been more appropriate so ill wait to catch it with free battery. Thanks TRZ.
Awesome! I already wanted this gun badly and now even more after watching this video. I think Milwaukee have a winner her and can only get better with next gen. I just recently found out that this even existed from another reviewer.
Wish these newer tools would stand up with a 6.0ah seems like there made only for the compact batteries similar to the 4 in 1 driver with the attachments it dont stand up with anything other then the compact batteries wish Milwaukee thought that through a little better but probably won't matter on this pin nailer because most people will be laying it down I'm just saying some of my frustrations @ToolReviewZone
I'm gonna grab one, NOW...Fellow fanboi. I have the M12 circle saw, impact(2), drill, die grinder, right angle drill (kinda junky). My heavier stuff is Dewilt 20 and Makita, Metabo(german) corded. Some old Milsquawkee USA too. Sawzall, Portaband, Mag hole shooter,10" Miter,8" metal cirle saw...UH OH. Here comes wifey !!!
Ordered mine (tool only because I already have a bunch of batteries, and a 3 drawer packout box, and some other stuff) earlier in the week from OPT. I get it Wednesday. Re why bare tool: I'll never get another M12 kit. I also have M18 stuff, and several dual volt chargers. I've gotten a few M12 kits like the installer driver that wasn't available bare tool style at the time. Now I have SEVEN freaking useless M12-only chargers. Just e-waste, the lot of them. Sometimes there's a screaming deal on a kit with a couple expensive batteries where it makes $$ sense, but damnit, electronic waste is a shame.
I love this nailer. BUT.......I have gone through 6 of them. If you use nails more than 1 inch the piston drive will wear down extremely fast and will not set the nails in all the way. I ended up getting the extended warranty and have already had my nailer of 1 year serviced 3 times. All same issue.
Hay brother recently all three of my Porter Cable pancake compressors within one month all broke how does that happen I don't know plus some of the guns have quit on me also. Went and picked up the Makita 3.5 horsepower 5.7 gallon with the foldable handle picked that up for roofing the DeWalt pancake with the Precision point brad nailer in the Milwaukee M18 brad nailer and I've been waiting to see this new Milwaukee pin nailer I hope it's all that and then some 😎👊🇺🇸
Hey, did you see the Harbor Freight ad that has a 20v cordless, brushless air compressor with tank. Maybe this is something the other brands already came out with and I missed it. Or it's probably, and more likely, not very practical, considering you have to have an air hose. Anyways, I thought you might like to know about it.
Mine can’t sink pin nails all the way into walnut. Every single nail is proud by about 1/8”. Have you tried shooting it into anything thicker than 3/4” wood?
I love me some milwaukee tools. This looks okay but it's small and would want a bigger battery. My craftsman 19v lithium bras nailer is the last generation made before sears went belly up. It does small pine fitting strips to thick oak finish work.
Have the M18 16 gauge 20 degree bought recently. It is not setting the nails or making large holes or double holes. Do you have one and have you experienced that. Wanted to go hoseless but need to have a trim nailer that works.
Hey Clint I have a question for you is there a fix mine keeps jamming a nail every 2 to 3 nails and I can’t get it to work properly is there a way to reset it or something
Very interesting. I haven’t heard of this issue until now, but I'm assuming that the nails are the correct gauge (sorry, I have to ask). I don't know of any reset 150, but if it's giving you the issue, it should still be under warranty correct?
Too bad this isn’t made in M18, I use both Dewalt 20V and Milwaukee M18 tools. I will not add a 3rd batterie to my setup. Going to Purchase the Dewalt 23 gauge Atomic because of that.
I noticed you had an xc M12 battery in that thing at the beginning of the video. Will it actually work with that battery or do I need to buy one of those little ones? I have an XC with my cut off tool. Thanks!
