Hey I tried the Metabo 23 ga nailer that I just got and tried to nail some maple crown into a maple face frame and it would not sink the nails. You were right on with your analysis. I fortunately bought it on Amazon and returned it this morning.
I bought several of the Milwaukee, and the are fantastic for about a month, maybe up to three months, then the tongue breaks or something else goes wrong with it, and last time I looked they don't have parts for it. This really screws you on a job site. I hope the fix the problem because it starts out great.
I prefer the Metabo HPT and the price Got two MHPT's for the price of one Milwaukee Been running Hitachi nailers for 25+ yrs and have been the I industry standard all along the way
Clearly they meet your needs. Saving initial purchase cost is meaningless if they don't do what you need them to do, though. Go with what works for you. I played the cordless tool race for years. I just had to have the new and improved model. But I was too stupid to consider that the one I had was doing the job just fine. I have no plans to drive pin nails into 1-3/8 of hardwood. But just knowing that I can makes me feel better. Haha!
As soon as I purchased my first Metabo nail gun. I got rid of all my other brand nail guns. Versatile ..light weight ..well built..very adjustable and lifetime warranty. I currently have 4 for different uses. Never look back ...
Thanks for the review. I believe you for got to mention that the M12 Pin Nailer operates off of nitrogen, there is a depth of adjustment wheel located near the nose of the tool and there’s a magnet to hold the nails in while changing and seating.
@@kellym3610 What are you smoking dude? Of course the Nitrogen will run out…according to Milwaukee after around 3 years of moderate use or around 60-75k nails you need to send it to recharge. That’s an added expense but no so important in my opinion. By that time the tools has paid for itself.

And if anything, it's less safe because you can just fire nails across the room 😅. I just got one and its been a life safer on my first shelf thing I'm making.
I have not found a use for the 23 ga pins yet. I use my 18 gauge brad nailer for baseboards and 1x4 framing. In many cases the brad nailer needs to be fired in an x-pattern angle to hold the baseboard tight to an uneven wall with 2” brad nails. I don’t think the 23 gauge would achieve that.

@@mitchellena1451 😂 True….He just got burned and overpaid for an inferior tool.
i went thought 2 metabo pin nailers i a month they are completely garbage . i’m waiting for my m 12 do not but metabo is a piece of garbage
@@mitchellena1451 I’m Milwaukee guy but metabo nailers tools is the best
Yes and we have two of the MHPT's for the same $ as one Milwaukee and keep two different sizes in it
I can only speak for the Milwaukee but it’s the biggest piece of junk I’ve ever bought. Four months of use and I already had to send it in for service, they jam more nails then they shoot half the time and if you’re shooting anything harder than marshmallows you might as well forget it
Wow really! That sounds like you got a lemon. Mine is amazing and shoots into anything
I like this chilled /calm tool review . Tired of listening all the super hyped up RUclips reviewer
Thanks, no need to scream what I’m thinking thanks for watching
If you need 2 inch pins… you’re shooting the wrong nails
Matabo pin nailer is junk IMO… I had it for a couple years and was disappointed on day one with it… Constantly does not fire unless you have the tip perfectly in the right spot… And like you said does very poorly on hardwoods
yeah its very disappointing, i haven't used it once since i got the m12
You should try to use the nail guns correctly. All you shots were not made in a 90 degree angle.
green better
That’s bias
your sloppy operation of the metabo one is why the milwakee one
Sorry to give a thumbs down here but you did not do a fair comparison. The Metabo you held loosely against the oak and the Milwaukee you seated firmly against the wood. Even my Grex air gun will leave heads up if I don't firmly place against the material.
Lol, that’s ok. But believe me my metabo does not even compare to the m12. I actually think there might be an issue with it. I’ve done tones of nails into hard wood ant they just don’t sink.
@@hammerandhome that’s too bad. I just bought one to match all my other Merabo 18v tools. I use a Grex 23 ga mailer and it has trouble sinking 1-3/8 into hardwood. Thanks.
Miluakee is garbage, used it in 1 small job then every 1-3 shots keeps on jamming its completely garbage!!
Cordless pin nailers are very finicky tools. You need to keep them clean and lubricated. The glue that holds the nails together rubs onto the magazine.
Pneumatic don't have this problem since they have a lot better power.
Metabo 😂😂😂😂
Metabo/hitachi is a totally trash I own 1 and is really bad do waste your money
the only tool im really impressed with is the framing nailer, it beats the Milwaukee but the other nailers are a big disappointment
