NICE! I cut the whole top off of mine, just left the windshield and then I made my own Cage with Styrene tubing :) I also cut the front of the frame off and did the magnet mounts, I also moved the electronics around and switched it to the Injora MB100 with a Flysky Receiver :)
And you are 💯 correct the stock sliders because they are tapered do not work with aftermarket chassis like Injora you can definitely get them to work by cutting the back of the sliders to make them flat so they sit flat against the chassis if you don’t they will go on but when you tighten the slider screws it warps the sliders. I just went ahead & got the Injora flat sliders for it I’m putting them on today. 👍
love your build. i know what you mean about the thickness on the body as i cut sections of mine out around the shocks etc and yeah very thick as also have the proline coyote body on it and it really thin. i used the meus links from the traxxas and you can use the front upper links but just need to cut down the link ends a bit to make it work and my drive shaft angle is spot on.
Wow! Dude, love that build! Rando bumped into your channel. Great build. The Ascent 18 body always kinda bugged me. The rocker panel section under the doors was just too wide compared to the overall cab height. But yours looks awesome! I really like the SCX24 scale size rigs, but this looks really great. I'll have a look at your other vid's for sure! Thanks! Bert the Weldor
Best use of the stock body I’ve seen I used the New Injora I 60 truck body on mine & the performance has been awesome I just installed the LCG Injora chassis & I have a few Injora Purple Viper motors coming they are back in stock now. Super nice build do you have any videos of it running?
wow i'm watching again! I am pretty sure id like to do the mb24 swap, those limit straps are slick. I wanted to ask, should I run a longer shock with droop on larger 70mm tires or would that completely ruin this little car n make it flippy. (new to crawling)
One of the best builds ive seen awesome rig bro and that was some awesome driving too..what kind of tires are they i would like to put those wheels and tires on my Redcat..🤙🏼✌🏼
What a cool build! I like the Japan Flag on the roof! What a cool spot too test the Trucks!I would add some rock lights too for cool night crawl action!
@@81_Customs wow I almost thought it was the stock body, but the bed looks bobbed ?? So I wasn't quite sure if it was the stock body... I just recently bought a set of injora wheels/tires for my redcat 18.. (my first upgrades so far..) It's definitely impressive right out of the box !!
Awesome looking!
Thanks!
Nice!
I've been waiting for a video on some proper modding!
New sub.

Wow, excellent build!! I like that you modded the stock body to make it work, instead of switching to an aftermarket one. It looks great!!
I’ve grown to actually like the stock body. Thank you 🙏🏾
@@81_Customs It looks great with the lights too!
Holy schinto! We ain't got nothin' like that hobby store (Warehouse!) up here! Oh man!

Seriously truck looks killer! Looking forward to see it in person
I love the way you say dongle. Nice hands. They don’t look ashy.
Big thanks for Reppin our channel on your truck!
Sweet build man! Love it!

Way to go! Awesome amount of work went into that build! Subbed, cheers!
Thank you very much for the support 🙏🏾

Good work! Some of our guys could use this video!!
Love it homie. Been wondering for a while now seeing it on the Facebook group. Sick setup bro subbed up 💪
I appreciate it! Thank you for the support 💪🏾
Sick build!
So cool! I want a body like that so bad but I have no idea how to do anything body related
Good work!
Looks killer, boss
Thank you 🙏🏾
Awesome build!

this is a really great build, id like to try the skid an cage swap for my ascent as a first crawler build. it just looks way better.
Looks good and performs very well. I’ll be getting more running video very soon
The suspension, that just a metal replacement. I got 70mm tire on my redcat now. Looking for something a bit taller
They are high clearance links for the TRX4M. Stretches the wheelbase about 5mm. I’m happy with the 62mm tires

I wouldn’t run longer shocks. Extra droop can be a hindrance and will cause the suspension to unload and flip the truck

Thank you 🙏🏾 Tires are Injora 62x22mm AT Super Trekkers. There’s a link in the description

this is such a sick setup, looks awesome!
Appreciate it!
How did you paint it ? Spray paint ? Would you be willing to a video on your painting ? Love the build
Sweet build, looks really nice. Injora already makes links for the Ascent 18. Why use the TRX4M ones?
Hey brotha, what is the weight ratio for front to back? In general?
58/42
SWEET BUILD!! I LOVE the body and paint scheme , what body is that??
It’s the stock Ascent 18 body. I painted it on the outside with Tamiya primer and Tamiya PS paints
Thank you 🙏🏾

What suspension are you using
Where can I find the shock spacers?
Would this work if I did it with the stock ascent links? I noticed you had to stretch the lower fronts but also mentioned you used trx4m links
Great truck, where did you get the stickers from? Thanks
Thank you 🙏🏾 The stickers have been sourced from many places. From Drift America RC, Kaiju RC, Amain Hobbies and a couple I made myself
What pinion you running on that motor?
where is the steering kit from?
RC Addiction Nick on Instagram
What length shocks are you running?
Stock Ascent 18 shocks with no springs. I’m not sure the length. I will measure tonight
Repping #theshopminirc had to sub!
How did you paint it?
Painted on the outside using Tamiya TS-paints
