What the video fails to mention is that the Vespa are some of the most powerful cold-blooded galatic imperialists around. They are the only ones with tech to stand against almost all of Earth's superheroes. Hence why they were the contingency plan. But further more, what was also not mentioned is that Hornet gave the Vespa Empire the ability to expand their influence much easier. All he had to do was sell out every other alien species that he had helped. When he admits this to his teammates via hologram, he made in case he died, he acknowledged what he did was wrong but said Earth came first. His teammates disagreed and were angered by this, seeing it as a betrayal to all the alien species they once helped.
Even more intelligently was that same teleportation technology was Qibit's invention, meaning Qibit had only but to snap his fingers and render it all worthless.
