you can upgrade the system. Not sure if you are going to run a spec class or just fun with friends. I run a 7700 castle momba x combo. Or if you are running spec look into Mclan DRK 160a esc and 3.5t motor. proline threaded shocks, sway bar, good tires, wheelie bar etc.

Informative video! I run my on 3s lipo. Any recommendations for gearing setup on 3s? It is all stock now. 87 spur and 18 pinion I believe...will a 24 pinion be too much for 3s? Thanks
My dvc stopped working and esc flash red is it because I haven't calibrated it or do I need to replace it...I have little run time on it And one day it just stopped working... I replaced it with a Traxxas remote and receiver and it work but I want to go back to the original setup... Because when I got the car I didn't remember reading anything about calibrating the remote to the ESC or receiver for anything I just remember ready to race ready to go out the box...lol
so to start I will run 87t spur 24t pinion. Its a good beginner setup. Eventually you may change motor, esc etc. Get a good 2s lipo battery also. Something 120c and up or whatever you have will work. The radio is on but the car is not moving. Light on the radio is red and the car turns on but I can’t control it with the remote. Can you please give me any suggestions or solution to this problem?

Try 23t pinion or 81/26 on 3s. Tape the insides of the body.

You can try to recalibrate it. It can be your receiver that went bad also. I noticed guys that cars or flip the car a lot the esc goes bad.

Look in to smc 2s lipo 150c 5000mah for drag racing. At least 120c the higher c rating the faster you well go.

Anyone know what size pinion and spur i would need to run a castle sidewinder 5700kv motor and esc with thos car? I imagine not stock gearing?

Sometimes the esc are not calibrated to give you 100% throttle.
