Jrue game changed a lot from when he first came in. They tried to make him become a John Wall in Philly but all that changed once he became a defensive anchor in NO
Jrue Holiday is literally the only player I seen able to stick Kyrie up fr he not lying like Kyrie still gone get his but Jrue will make him pass or work hard
Yeah, but Kyrie has a mental block with Boston in general and even though he struggled, he managed 20ppg (and 35 in one). But against Holiday and OKC's players was the hardest I've seen him have to work just to make normal shots (for him).
Every player has been saying this since he was on The Pelicans. Yet the media talks as if he's an ok player. That's why you have to look at those non player media heads as entertainment and that's it.
When you really think about it, PG is a HOF when it’s all said and done. Best handles for a 3 all time with 9 all star appearances and 6 all nba teams. Deep playoff run solidifies it for sure.
Middleton wasnt hoopin and they needed jrue to pick up the slack on offense that season. More energy on offense typically show up on defense. In Boston with should be diff if they match up… But again it is playoff Jimmy 😂😂
The only time I’ve seen PG so helpless beyond 22feet is that two way highlight where Ant sat down, poked it away like it was nothing, and scored a contested layup. Guy wasn’t biting on a single thing no one was getting around him on that sequence haha
Defense is yet so easy to understand and learn while so hard to execute.. I personally believe that it’s 80% effort. It’s more hard on the body, it’s more reactive.. the best defenders are proactive.. with the small details of baiting the attacker, forcing them one way, forcing them into help, anticipating their tendencies, etc.. btw I play soccer and they only reason I’m starting as a forward is cuz I can play defense as an attacking player and I put it the effort running back and helping. My coach loves that shit.. I tell the other players.. you wanna start or get minutes.. don’t be lazy and track back!!

@@getbucketsjose5757 nah, I still think Jrue is the best perimeter defender in the guard position, but Jimmy cooked him last season. Those facts can be right simultaneously.
This is such a weird comment. Holiday is widely agreed upon as one of the best defenders in the league, year in and out, and he's been a very tough match for PG. Paul averages 20.7 for his career - in games against Holiday, he's scored 17.9. By comparison, in games against Beverly, he's scored 24.4 on average. PG didnt play in the most recent game vs the Bucks, and in the one before that, he had 29, on 10-17 shooting, with Beverly playing 34 minutes.
