I got mine right after their initial release and used them nearly every day at work and a couple times at the gym. I had a problem though. When the sweat build-up on the ear pads had collected, I washed them in water and let them air dry. When they felt like they were dry 48 hours later, I put them on and after a little while moisture deep in the ear pads had surfaced and was touching my head/ears, but some of it went back into the inner parts of the airpods max themselves. Eventually I got the visible areas all dry but I think that the moisture trapped inside ultimately ended up making my airpods max die prematurely. They lasted from January 2021 to July 2023. I'd hoped to use them for many more years to come! The moisture that got inside was the only thing that I ever did that would cause an issue-never dropped them or anything else that would hurt them. Airpods Max are not water or sweat resistant.
I know they aren't rated to have any water resistance, but thank you for letting me know ahead of time! I'll probably stop using them at the gym as I didn't really like them there anyway. They're too large and heady for intense workouts😅 Sorry to hear yours ended up dying on you btw, that definitely stinks especially for such an expensive pair of headphones😭
It's insane to buy these when the release of the new ones with USB-C and the next generation of noise cancellation/transparency is imminently coming out. Then, to do a review so much later is also unorthodox to say the least. BUT, I almost just bought some too and I loved your review :). I think our channel is going to do really well bro. Keep going, this was very good.
I got these like 3 days before the new beats were released 😭 but that’s why I went through Amazon renewed so I have 90 days to use them and still get a full refund 😉 But thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words 🙏🏻
for me its a NO on these. I have contemplated them many times since the initial release, but I can't justify them. The overall sound from these are mid level at best.

Perfect timing! I have been looking into the airpods max and sony xm5 or 4 for a while now, still can’t decide which one to go with.
