we're buying on these. i test drove the gt-line dct7 today. wow what an awesome little car to drive. you have to be in sport mode though. probably the best small car i've ever driven. simply superb
OK I'm a bit confused, I saw one in our companies car park today, but it had the new KIA "badge", and the grill looked slightly different, all the '2022' ones in this video though have the old Badge. How can there be 2 different 2022 models ?
Great review! I test drove this car and agree it's a great all rounder but downsides for us was no rear air vents and the boot lip was quite high which made it hard loading pram and other stuff. Also the acceleration was a little jerky but that maybe because I wasnt used to DCT. Overall this model would have been a great option if we didn't have a kid.
@@1969cmp yeah I agree, it was just something we were looking for specifically. The next size up (Cerato GT) has rear air vents and could be classified as a small car too.
Can’t be the ‘new’ model as it misses out on the new Kia safety kit which comes with the Cerato - along with the new badge! Premium price for old kit - no thanks
In the UK we get the GT-Line S which has a height adjustable boot floor to give a level loading area with a "secret" compartment underneath); but we're special in the UK so deserve a bit more than the Aussies 😆
Damn it Kia, I have waited for several months and it has already exceeded the estimated delivery date. I mean, seriously? When I get my Kia stonic sport, there will be a 2023 version of stonic. This is insane.
Trying really hard to convince the other half to get this one. The main problem I got, she's rather small and is only 165 cm while I'm 185cm. I have a perfect view, she says she also has a good view but I don't believe her :)
New gen MG stuff is pretty good, but the MG3 is on an ancient platform that wasn’t that good when new - particularly in terms of crash safety. Just dont do it. If you want a cheap new car buy the Kia Picanto instead
I really dislike the Hyundai/Kia 7 speed dry clutch DCT - jerky at low speed and not that quick to change gear up or down the box - given how much slipping occurs, wouldn’t want to be the owner outside warranty… The CVT in the Seltos would be a much better solution for this car, and probably wouldn’t hurt economy numbers (unlike a TC transmission)
Subaru Impreza would be a better buy than the Kia Stonic, its 4640mm long vs 4140mm long even the Kia Cars to would be a better buy 4520mm long or Mazda2 sedan would we a better buy for a family its has a boot and is physically longer for roughly the same cost. Sometimes a practical sedan is way better than an overpriced smaller "SUV" which is baby sized compared to the Impreza and the Cerato.

Luckily we don't get the DCT option here in the Philippines! 😅 We only have a 5-Speed Manual and a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission.
....there are a lot of small cars and even twincabs that do not have rear vents.

@@bekku1984 ...likewise. I really get irritated when a car doesn't have steering wheel reach adjustment.
@@1969cmp now that you mention it, I remember the stonic has limited steering wheel adjustment. I couldn't get it low how I like it.
Is the tiger grille a functional one with actual holes or just for design?
Meglio questa o la t-roc usata del 2021?
I just ordered a kia stonic on mobility yesterday
That's the car I have just ordered on mobility
Does it have wireless phone charging?

People in the UK are definitely 'special', totally agreed.

Why doesn't it have the new kia logo?
Because it’s the old model and misses out on many of the new Kia safety features - the reason I gave it a miss
Excellent, well-made review!
Is the kia stonic a good car
I didn't understand. The car is good for small family? Have enough place in rear seat for three children?
This video is paid by KIA.
Thank you, Sir. Looking around at hire cars available in Cyprus next year and wanted to see what this thing was. I think it will do us nicely.
no blind spot and no active cruise eliminated this (and seltos) from my shopping list :(
I have just ordered a red kia stonic
Inside does look similar with kia rio
I'm upgrading my rio to this
Why have the mainstream media still have not reviewed the mg3 more and more young people buying it but has yet to have a full review. Maybe time.??

Yeah it's the most bought small car but not many reviews for it.
Because it's cheap Chinese garbage.

I bought Kia Sportage GT 2022 model with 7 speed dry clutch DCT and its very smooth and quick.
Who is going to be first to hold a ' cat " while summarizing a road test ?
I could probably manage, I have 2 cats and pick this car up this week haha
That engine is way too underpowered for a CUV.
I like hard and scratchy. Keeps it real.
NEVER ever tie animals to cars
