Nah 3 was the best one. It offered the most amount of actual choice along with vehicles that didn’t suck. Not to mention basically every weapon was actually viable as opposed to only like 2-3 from dead rising

I thought it actually made the game more fun because you had to really learn the game to get everything done. The 3rd one just really didn't do anything for me. Ok, imma sound crazy for this. But I have played dead rising since day 1, and I was 3, and have never gotten bored of it. While the newer games add new zombie types like gassed from the 2nd games, or fresh from the third game, I strongly believe non of them can compare to the original.
It's really interesting to see how the very same company could make two ground breaking franchises off of the same genre. Resident Evil and how it changed survival horror forever and then Dead Rising in how free you were to do literally anything (you can even let the timer run out and not care about the story at all. And let's not forget the whole thing of being able to pick up about anything to use as a weapon, or using your own hands!) To be honest though.... Letting the player have the ability to spit at zombies is probably the best thing any game has ever done (DR)
As a kid, I was far too chicken to play zombie games. But one day I saw it in a old pawn shop, and decided I wanted to try it. This made me brave enough to play other zombie games. This is why I love this game so much is because it introduced me to a new genre of games, that I fell in love with.
It was truly a fun mode, but I felt there wasn't quite as much as I would have hoped to do. They fixed that in Dead Rising 3 with less strict times and more open gameplay. All in all I always enjoy these games too, to say the least I'm a fan boy but most would say I'm hardcore. I mean I've 100% all the dead rising games. I'm also super excited for number 4 it makes me insanely happy to see this series is continuing.
Do you have a favourite character? For me it's Chuck. I felt a big connection with him and I could never let Katie die in my early times of playing the game.
It's still a part of the lineage. A really interesting trial-and-error era, I feel. Don't get me wrong, I'd understand if they intentionally left out any mention of it, but if they REALLY wanna cover the back alleys of such a dense franchise, they should cover the shitty wii version as well.
Watching this in 2022 and hearing the expectations of DR4 feels weird. Especially knowing that two years after release, Capcom Vancouver shut down. "You're gonna piss someone off anyway.." well it turns out they pissed off the majority of fans by removing key parts that make up Deadrising. I also find it funny how they mentioned it wouldn't be as easy as people think but it's definitely the easiest in the series.
I mean, Otis was kind of a pain for more reasons than just that. He also didn't give you a heads up about what you would get into with certain scoops he says "hey, somebody's messing with the roller coaster in wonderland plaza, go check it out" rather than "there's a chainsaw juggling clown messing with the roller coaster in wonderland plaza, I'd stay the hell away, but if you do go, bring some guns" Or "there's a police officer taking another woman into a clothing store" rather than "there's a morbidly obese police woman dragging some girl by her hair and sexually assaulting her with her nightstick" so you'd walk up thinking "okay, some guy's stuck on the roller coaster." or "cool, a police officer would be a real help" so you don't bring as many weapons as you should and die.
Dead Rising 2 will always be one of my favorite games. For me DR3 was alright, but I didn't care for how dark they made everything. And I'm not talking about the tone, I'm literally talking about the lighting and color. Nothing but bland neutral colors. DR4 was a total letdown. That guy wasn't Frank West, the game felt nothing like Dead Rising. They took so much away from the game, the psychos, the different endings. They even managed to ruin the combat by screwing with how weapons could be used. Hopefully we get a DR5 and they go back to their roots. The cities and towns have been nice and everything, but I really just want to get back to the vibrant and lively malls.
The evil inside is a book in deadrising and deadrising is a Capcom game. Shinji mikami worked for Capcom and left to create The Evil Within. Solution, the people who made deadrising can see into peoples future

You finht him in a bloody class room, When you first meet him hes outside the school dragging a badly hurt child Into the school. The before fight scene: protag will enter the class room in order to save the child, only to see Konnor "teaching" dead children about zombie safety. When the protagonist sees this he says "whoa what are you doing?" Konnor says "sorry, but class is in session. If you want to meet with me youll have to make a meeting later" protag will say "dude I need to get you to a save shelter" "CLASS, is still in sesió..... Wait, are you a parent? Ho I'm sorry but if you take Your child outside Now they will be marked as absent" "Dude be need to go Now!" "CLASS IS STILL IN SESION. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR CHILD, YOULL NEED TO WAIT UNTIL CLASS IS OVER" "I DONT HAVE A CHILD, we need to go to the shelte" what? You dont.... Have a child?" "huh?" "but you want to take a child..?" Book plan: he just graps books and Instead of trowing them he starts reading them, it itcreases his defence but he cant move Nor attack. Battle lines: I WILL TEACH YOU A LESSON. ILL SENT YOU TO THE NURSES OFFICE. YOU WILL NEVER TAKE MY CHILDREN. I would send you to the prinsipals office but hes a... Well dead. CLASS IS NOT DISMISED. CLASS IS STILL IN SESSION. Ending cutsene: konnor will fall and hit his head on his desk, when protag tríes to leave, konnor will wake up and say "huh, guess I didn't save them" "huh?" "my children, I could not save my children" "I tríed, but them, the dead. Im sorry my children. I have...... Failed the tesk with an F Minus." then he DIES.
After playing deadrising 4, I can definitely say that it is the easiest deadrising game to date, game finished with 0 deaths. Well technically 1 death but that was the games choice.
Dead Rising 1 is the best, though. Not on the technical standpoint, obviously, but by giving us a great experience in a survival horror game. Dead Rising 2 did have survival horror in it too, but its use of combo weapons was two constant. You can easily make combo weapons since they're layed everywhere in the game to make, and since they give you lots of PP when you use them, you usually fill up your inventory with combo weapons and some coffee creamer (or blended beverages). Dead Rising 3 is one of the least scary ones in survival horror since Nick is so powerful at the beginning of the game; the only handicap he had was that he can't mix items and be created, he HAD to find a blueprint to make the combo weapon. Dead Rising 4 is the equivalent of Saint's Row: The Third with bugs from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Fact 4: Anything in the mall counts as a weapon, baseball bats, pipes, your hands... Shouldn't you be counting something more unusual that isn't a weapon in other games? Something more Dead Rising-esk? I know for sure there is a pipe or a baseball bat as weapons in other games, you should be listing things such as a chair, a vase, CDs, plates, lego masks, and even dildos, cmon man haushauhs
This channel reminds me of students trying to stretch out something short into something longer to fit the criteria of their assignment and just scratch the bottom of the barrel headfirst. I best if they ever did a call of duty video, the first fact they'd mention is that you get to shoot things.
I think Dead Rising 1is the best It may have been a lol clunky but it has SO much personality and love in pit into the weapons and setting. I love what they did with the mall And i love the B movie story Dead Rising 2 was a natural progression but it didn't have the same magic the first one had each game keep getting farther and farther from what made the first game so special The first game to alot of people was more then just kill zombies but thats all the developer took from it

One of my many problems with DR4 is Frank returning as a MAIN character. It's not that I have a problem with frank, it's that Frank's unique stuff has already been done. Frank was supposed to be a photojournalist, and that's really all he was supposed to be. He wasn't supposed to make mech suits, even Nick didn't do that kind of thing. There was stupid shite in DR3 but at least that game had some sense of being grounded, and it was some form of Dead Rising game - It was very different, but it was still mostly Dead Rising. Frank could take on thousands of zombies with his bare fists, and was a photojournalist. Chuck could create combo weapons to annihilate hordes of zombies due to his resourcefulness. Nick was able to create massive killing machines from basicly mashing two cars together. With Dead Rising 4, Frank is... Well, he's just not him. Not only is he completely inhuman, and incredibly powerful, he's not Frank West anymore. They should have made a new protagonist if they really wanted to go back to their roots - Not that they actually did that, they just ruined the series now with over the top trite.
Ive never heard, seen or played DR3, but seen that gameplay made me a bit hyped even tho it came out 9 years ago. Its sad that the final installment of DR is only for XBOX 1 and PC

Watching this in 2022 and hearing the expectations of DR4 feels weird. Especially knowing that two years after release, Capcom Vancouver shut down. "You're gonna piss someone off anyway.." well it turns out they pissed off the majority of fans by removing key parts that make up Deadrising. I also find it funny how they mentioned it wouldn't be as easy as people think but it's definitely the easiest in the series.
I mean, Otis was kind of a pain for more reasons than just that. He also didn't give you a heads up about what you would get into with certain scoops he says "hey, somebody's messing with the roller coaster in wonderland plaza, go check it out" rather than "there's a chainsaw juggling clown messing with the roller coaster in wonderland plaza, I'd stay the hell away, but if you do go, bring some guns"
Or "there's a police officer taking another woman into a clothing store" rather than "there's a morbidly obese police woman dragging some girl by her hair and sexually assaulting her with her nightstick" so you'd walk up thinking "okay, some guy's stuck on the roller coaster." or "cool, a police officer would be a real help" so you don't bring as many weapons as you should and die.
That was the whole fun of the Psychopaths in the game though, you never know when they come at you
Dead Rising 2 will always be one of my favorite games. For me DR3 was alright, but I didn't care for how dark they made everything. And I'm not talking about the tone, I'm literally talking about the lighting and color. Nothing but bland neutral colors. DR4 was a total letdown. That guy wasn't Frank West, the game felt nothing like Dead Rising. They took so much away from the game, the psychos, the different endings. They even managed to ruin the combat by screwing with how weapons could be used. Hopefully we get a DR5 and they go back to their roots. The cities and towns have been nice and everything, but I really just want to get back to the vibrant and lively malls.

If you want to meet with me youll have to make a meeting later" protag will say "dude I need to get you to a save shelter" "CLASS, is still in sesió..... Wait, are you a parent? Ho I'm sorry but if you take Your child outside Now they will be marked as absent" "Dude be need to go Now!" "CLASS IS STILL IN SESION. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR CHILD, YOULL NEED TO WAIT UNTIL CLASS IS OVER" "I DONT HAVE A CHILD, we need to go to the shelte" what? You dont.... Have a child?" "huh?" "but you want to take a child..?" Rule ruler: he Charges at the protag with a sharpened ruler, but he will actually move left or right to hit him if he is not in his way.
Desk to desk: he will grap one of the children's desk, and trow it.
Rule tornado: he will do a half full circle with a sharpened ruler 5 times.
Book plan: he just graps books and Instead of trowing them he starts reading them, it itcreases his defence but he cant move Nor attack.

I'm really upset you didn't mention the fact that the chef in Dead Rising 2 was so OP that they nerfed him in Off The Record.
After playing deadrising 4, I can definitely say that it is the easiest deadrising game to date, game finished with 0 deaths. Well technically 1 death but that was the games choice.
the first two dead rising games are classics imo, very hard yet rewarding games. i never played 3 or 4 cause i dont have xbox.

dead rising 2 is an enhancement of 1, but if you feel like it's the best one, then i can't argue with entitled opinions
Dead Rising 1 is the best, though. Not on the technical standpoint, obviously, but by giving us a great experience in a survival horror game. Dead Rising 2 did have survival horror in it too, but its use of combo weapons was two constant. You can easily make combo weapons since they're layed everywhere in the game to make, and since they give you lots of PP when you use them, you usually fill up your inventory with combo weapons and some coffee creamer (or blended beverages). Dead Rising 3 is one of the least scary ones in survival horror since Nick is so powerful at the beginning of the game; the only handicap he had was that he can't mix items and be created, he HAD to find a blueprint to make the combo weapon.
Dead Rising 4 is the equivalent of Saint's Row: The Third with bugs from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

One of my many problems with DR4 is Frank returning as a MAIN character. It's not that I have a problem with frank, it's that Frank's unique stuff has already been done. Frank was supposed to be a photojournalist, and that's really all he was supposed to be. He wasn't supposed to make mech suits, even Nick didn't do that kind of thing. There was stupid shite in DR3 but at least that game had some sense of being grounded, and it was some form of Dead Rising game - It was very different, but it was still mostly Dead Rising.
Frank could take on thousands of zombies with his bare fists, and was a photojournalist. Chuck could create combo weapons to annihilate hordes of zombies due to his resourcefulness. Nick was able to create massive killing machines from basicly mashing two cars together.
With Dead Rising 4, Frank is... Well, he's just not him. Not only is he completely inhuman, and incredibly powerful, he's not Frank West anymore. They should have made a new protagonist if they really wanted to go back to their roots - Not that they actually did that, they just ruined the series now with over the top trite.
Too bad dead rising 4 didn't have Frank West in it. Instead, they got Frankie East.

it is a "secret" combo weapon that you get by combining nectar (orange juice + beer/whiskey/orange juice e.g.) and a queen wasp.
