Good video! Bass fished almost every night this summer here in Colorado. Black mixed with about any color crushes. Love chatterbaits, anything topwater that makes a lot of noise or disturbs a lot of water seems to get them.

Agreed! I like my chatter baits naked with just a large June Bug Gilly Shad. The tall profile/silhouette I believe is easier to see. I also start reeling as soon as it hits the water, to keep it near the surface.

I'm from northeast Texas, about 95% of fishing is at night. Weekends, weekly night tournaments on area lakes. If I could only have one bait in my boat all summer, it would hands down, the big, black, solid jitterbug. From small ponds, to huge Reservoirs you can't beat it.

Oh I totally agree that is a great night time bait I put out a video here on the channel just about that bait for night fishing 👍

Here is the thing when fishing spinner baits, if dragging the bottom go with a all white spinner bait and trailer, and don't be afraid to use huge willowleaf that thumps like the strike king lazer cut.
Use Dark colors if your dragging a spinner bait over grass when fish are looking up.

We don’t have grass here. Some of the best spinnerbait fisherman I know come out of East Tennessee I can honestly say I have never heard anyone say use a white one at night. I will have to play around with it and see I have been testing some colors out this year depending on how bright the moon has been and cloud cover and having great results with it. But I might try a white one some time but can’t imagine how it would be better than a dark colored one here on these highland reservoirs. As far as blades go most night time you want a big Colorado blade is about all I have ever seen anyone use cause they thump so hard.

@joshandhuntersadventures5046 ok think about this, if your dragging the bottom with a jig or spinnerbait the fish are looking down, so take a white object and lay it on a black or dark background and take a black object and lay it down, which do you see better? If you pulling a spinnerbait over top of brush pikes planted then you would use a darker colored spinner bait because bass are looking up. Don't get caught up in old stinking thinking, this combo has been killer for years and in Arkansas and WV we use big copper colored Colorado blades too.

I fish exclusively at night around here in summer. A favorite of mine is a wake bait. I like the 6thsense speed wake in black/blue. Steady retrieve.

You really know you're stuff. We've been doing really good on a old monster black grape before dark and at night. Spinner baits and been using flies a lot. Never tried a buzzbait at night though. Our water temps are around 86 degrees and these fish are usually in about 25 to 30 ft of water on rocky main channel banks and sharp drop offs. Anyway, thanks for the video man.

I don't throw it at night, but I love that zoom old purple, I use that color quite a bit on the river. I like south african special, also have caught em good around lights on a watermelon red lizard.

Pump a chatterbait with same weights, colors, and trailers! You will want to put one more rod on the deck at night!!
