      Mosquitoes are attracted to carbon dioxide, so just don't exhale and you should be fine.
      If that's too much of a hassle, bring a big fat person or a pregnant woman. (a big fat pregnant woman is even better) They will produce more carbon dioxide than an average person thus attracting mosquitos away from you. "Honey, wanna go night fishing, it will be fun?" "You can eat ice cream on the boat".

    First of all, I lived on a lake for almost 30 years. From May to Sept. I fished a chit ton at night. I know the game! If you can still find one, get yourself a BLACK Jitterbug. I used to watch Dance & Martin use em in the 70's & I started 'bout 1980. Use the size just below the Musky size that's bigger than the pathetic little jitterbugs Wallyword still sells. If you can get several, experiment by bending both sides of the bill down a bit (with a pair of pliers) to get a deeper "gurgle." Be QUIET & stealthy. NO light. ( you'll get used to it) Cast parallel to the bank first then fan cast open water. I fished from the bank 99% of the time & used to amaze my non fishin friends who just wanted to tag along by sayin' "watch this!!" The blow ups were awesome & if you're quiet enough, you'll have bass follow the Jitterbug right to your feet & scare the begeezus outta you when they attack!! It's damn sad that this amazing lure has apparently been forgotten!!

    • @normanham8566
      @normanham8566 3 года назад +2

      I haven’t forgotten the Jitterbug. Been using one for years. It’s a killer lure! Buzz baits, spinner baits and the XL Musky Jitterbug are my top picks for night fishing. Roland turned me on to the Jitterbug XL. 👍🏼🎣😎

    Thank you for these Great videos! I’ve night fished many years to beat the Texas heat. 1 windy dark night wade fishing caught around 10 nice bass on black Zara spook..then one broke off. Didn’t get a single bite on light colored one but about 30 casts later hooked something..reeled in.. it was my black Zara! Still have and use it 20 years later 🙂. (ps) I do astronomy also, use a red filtered flashlight or lights and it won’t affect your night vision tying knots, landing fish etc. Great fishing to everyone 🎣. God Bless

    Yes please. More night videos. If you notice my username, I’m a die hard night bass fisherman. Have seen all previous ones you’ve posted over the years and they’re fun to watch. Would also love to know the best camera/lens/lighting equipment to use.
    This was an article on just Jack Hammers at night. We use most of what you mentioned Tim but my primary deep(er) water bladed jig is a 3/4 (Jack Hammer) to 1-1/2oz (Custom) bladed jigs with a big 8” Single tail musky grub. White grub in clear bright and black for dark and it stained water. It’s a big body and profile from all directions but that tails easily folds up when a fish hits, unlike big soft body swimbait trailers. Hooks up percentages are super high. Guys are amazed that fish as small as 3lbs have 100% of the bait engulfed. Total package length is 10-1/4” and a minimum of 1-3/4oz. Give it a try Matt and Tim. It gets the most violent strikes I’ve ever had at night. Wayyy more than when using normal trailers on bladed jigs

My question is if I went out let's say 3 am so to fish dark which would allow me to fish till about 10 am and avoid the heat of the day, would that be worth it?

    Headlamps def spook fish. We get 90% of our bights with headlamps off. I think the act of shutting the lamp off triggers the bight. I cant count how many times i hook up within 2-3 seconds after shutting it off with the bait already in the zone. But we vertical fish with 6 feet of LED strip under the gunnels. Caught a 24" landlocked last time i was out.

      We've talked about that bait in several of our wakebait / swimbait videos in the past. What exactly are you wanting help with?

    Are you typically fishing your jigs (No-Jack) shallow in cover, or deep structure?

    • @tacticalbassin
      @tacticalbassin  5 лет назад +1

      Both depending on the lake and the area we are fishing. Sometimes suoer shallow, sometimes 25-30ft deep

      TacticalBassin are you still using the No-Jack in 25-30 feet of water, or using the pitching style dirty jig?

    I use the smaller rat from g rat baits and in my local lake, in California that is pressured and the biggest fish I’ve caught out of it is a 1.5 pounder, I was using the rat and caught a 3.5 pounder. I got footage of the catch on my go pro, but then that sd card got corrupted.

      Bring a white spinnerbait and a black spinnerbait. If you're in low cover run Colorado blades, If thick run willowleaf.
