I'm from Argentina. That was hilarious. The chemistry is great, the pauses, the timing, the way the conversation progresses bit by bit. I'm at the other side of the world, different culture, different language and still this is fantastic.
It is one of the Best (or Just the best) polish comedy Group (Kabaret Moralnego Niepokoju)

Polish people on the other hand enjoy British humor. Monty Python and Terry Pratchett come to mind as beloved by many Poles.
I'm surprised that this sketch is funny not only in Poland, I always thought that Polish humor is too culturally hermetic, because it contains a lot of historical and local references.
As a Pole, I will say that "Door" is my favorite cabaret

You know when sketch is good when comedians have to do pause to not break into laugh.
It's not all about what they say, but more about how they say it. Their manners of speech and execution are just brilliant, but I guess it may be hard to get the minute details for a foreigner.

This sketch is good, because it's real. A lot of people can't easily rotate/mirror images in their heads such as different settings of the door, and I absolutely had this conversation in real life (me, a shop assistant, and a family member) 😅
These two are simply natural born talents, that's the greatest secret;)

You got lucky it is probably most translatable and representative sketch comedy from Poland you could pick. They're well established group 25+ years on stage. This is most typical style as the UK typical standup is less popular yet gaining ground. Robert Górski (door seller ex butcher) is main script writer. I am very glad someone made good translation but still a lot is proverbially lost in it 😅
They are incredible. The best polish comedy group. "Wizyta księdza" must see it :D

The guys who plays the worker is actually a super smart guy and a leader of this group (there’s more ppl in the group that just not performed in this skit). This guy graduated from Polish studies (like literature linguistics etc) and his jokes are pure gold! Some are hard to translate to other languages (or even if you can translate, they would lose the actual meaning) but this group is definitely worth trying. The best comedy group for a long time 🤩🤩
Tylko że jego nowy styl jest jednak dużo twardszy, to już nie taki lekki humor na każdą okazję. Chociaż ja akurat lubię

God, I work in a DYS store in Poland, in the carpentry section (floors, doors, windows etc.) and there's hardly a day when I don't hear that comedy reference.
The best polish comedy created by the director Stanisław Bareja. All his movies are absolutely fantastic. One note. It's necessary to know about times of the Polish People's Republic but you already know a lot about it.

KMN is probably the best comedy group in Poland with many many years of experience, they had a show too on TV they're like Jack and Victor a bit but obviously without Still Game, more like Chewin the Fat (which I loved btw) they were a group of 4, 5 people so you can find a lot of content with them only subtitles might be a problem ;) Cheers for watching this really great seeing you understand our sense of humour.

I think that 'Heaven' is harder to understand without being Polish. Lots of inside jokes (loan in swiss Francs, polish songs lyrics, etc.).

Nie zgadzam się. Neonówka to trzecioligowy projekt. Zero talentu, zero gry aktorskiej, zwyczajne wymuszanie śmiechu. Jedyne, co ich wyróżnia spośród innych kabaretów, to fakt, że nienawidzą PiS i pozwalają sobie na obrażanie połowy Polaków, którzy nie dali się ogłupić TVN owi i Gazecie Wyborczej.

It means more about Politics, becouse in Poland, Poles call Politics as Pigs, and this comedy have deep jokes, when he ask "left or right side" it governmental views
The best comedy by this group is in my opinion library (biblioteka), but I don't know if it's available with translation. There are different classes. Very simple guy returns to the library book, which he borrowed. Librarian is an intelectualist and he starts to ask this simple guy for opinion about this books. But it occurs that simple guy didn't read them and he don't wan't to say it straigth and he starts to avoid direct answers. Best interraction between these 2 comedy actors ever - of course IMHO.

I love Kabaret Moralnego Niepokoju. It's one of the funniest ones, along with Ani Mru Mru - roughly translates to 'not a sound' (polish people help me out here 😅) and Młodych Panów (Young men)
I know a better Comedy sketch by KMN called 'Odrabianie lekcji' or' Doing Homework'. That's the best one in my opinion!
A good translation for Ani Mru Mru would be Hush Hush 🙂

I am from Poland and some words can only understand people from Poland
It show for foreigners that in Polish language we do clarify a lot ...we do not say "I will see you tomorrow" but we say tomorrow as 14.00. Our language identify time so you never say i cone see you if we do not want go see people ...bcs if you should expect somebody you will be home ,if people do not come then we will not treat them with same respect as our tine is précious. Door keft or rihr is acrual good exemple ....some people will not see common sens in way aswe think but it have reason do you should just answer questions left or right to make sure that what you think k is reflected what others see in them heads to do not make mistakes. In building left door opening left inwards otlr outwards ..its actualy matter .in UK all door open i wards rooms upside-down to our systems ( I complaint a lot to my landlords that I have lot of bruisers when I come here 😀).

You need to check out Kabaret Dudek - Sęk, the old black and white version. I have no idea where to find the English translation, but it's vintage stuff when during communist times the comedians acted out an already vintage back then skit from the period between WWI and WWII. It was a very similar kind of a humour about miscommunication and frustration it causes, but there was an extra layer to it that the characters were Jewish and spoke with a thick accent and so on. My previous comment with a link to a youtube video seems to have been automatically deleted... Bummer
