Rest In Peace Marty. So many great memories of the glory days of The Airplane and Starship!
Sam Pelczarski Cudowny Artysta, zachwycałam się jego piosenkami.
Niech spoczywa w pokoju[*]
Niebo jest teraz jego domem ...
Spoglądajmy więc - usłyszmy anielskie głosy!

Rest In Peace Marty......
The music of my youth and life...
Thank You.....
nice to see so much energy from Mr. Balin after all these years.
Jorma kicks ass..Happy 75th !!! Marty loves what he does...sounds good.
Marty I hope you're resting peacefully, we miss you down here.
Marty still had it right to the end. Had a chance to meet him. Friends put on a benifit for a wounded vet. Starship played with Marty and Paul. They sounded great. That performance is part of a Documentary. Plus Marty's dad was their. Really neat person. How we miss so many!
I love this. I love the strength of Marty's voice and his enthusiasm; I love Jorma's yellow Les Paul (it's starting to match Jack's golden Epiphone; I love the double bass[es] and no drums. Heavy electric folk.
Rise in Power Mr. Balin! Your music means a lot to me and that of the J.A.
That's something I thought I'd never see again. Very cool indeed.
R.I.P. Marty Balin
These guys have still got it.
Mickey sure does !!
Quite a spectacle to see those three almost 50 years after Volunteers came out and make it sound as exciting and as inspirational as when it came out. Fantatstic
Oh Marty that voice is kicking ass , so is your friends Jack, Jorma and Chuck !!!!! Y’all still rock.
Included in the sound track of my life. Along with every other JA song ever recorded.
I remember going to some punk club on Broadway St. in San Francisco in 1979 stood at the front stage, the bass player was off on his own in the far right hand corner in his own world, the guy was really good, and familiar, It was Jack Casady in a band called SVT. Later went across the street to Enrico's to drink espresso with my friends, we thought we were so cool that we saw Jack Casady. Ah... youth.
That was probably the Mabuhay Gardens
@@patrickmichels7888 Perhaps. It was the first time I witnessed stage diving and slam dancing. When I was slammed into at first I thought some guy was trying to start a fight with me, but my more culturally aware girlfriend explained to me what it was about, after all she worked at Grubstake so she was cool.
@@patrickmichels7888 the fab mab.
Live music is of the moment. Nothing like the emotion of the now! For years I thought recordings were the thing. As time passes you realize that moment is gone. As we age holding onto to those times become difficult at best. Look forward to the time ahead as promised by G-D.
right people have thrown away all live music experiences emotions to shove they're heads up they're assholes with a cell phone plastered to they're shit hole mouths and unfortunately all these great musicians are now hitting mid 70's and 80's there's going to be a deluge of these hitting us all at once BUT I continue to rock on despite the zombie apocalypse and nobody can ever steal music and love for classic rock
Promised by who?Nothing is promised.
and 2 add 2 that every promise ever made to me was always broken A promise is the same as telling a lie Only in a nicer way
They can still do it! Brilliant, even after all these years. Obviously, sex, drugs and rock & roll were good for them.
AS AN "OLD AVID JEFFERSON FAN"(SIMILAR AGE GROUP), I CARRY OWN THEIR "LEGACY" EVERY DAY .
let's hear it for marty balin ! R.I.P. !
We need this happening here right now. If ever there was a time since the Viet Nam war to fight for America it's now. The government works for the ppl and are paid by our taxes. We need to get to work. Thank's Marty and crew for this anthem.
Love fur peace ranch. Wish I could have made this show !!
Peace and love Marty will always remember you
On my funeral play list for a send off.
RIP, Marty.
Great to see the boys on stage again!
"C'mon volunteer you all, gotta fight back!!"
More than any song, this one, makes me feel like I missed out on something.
What would Marty think of our 2020 revolution?
🇺🇸Gotta Fight Back🇺🇸
He'd probably agree that the election was a fraud.
R.I.P.........................
IMO, Marty Balin had the best voice in all of rock 'n' roll.
And yes: Marty is right. Papa John was a wonderful part of Jefferson Airplane. He Made the sound incredible good!
The music of Jefferson Airplane was important for me in last century.
Lovely! All things must pass....
… and all lovely things must be passed on❤
Wow! That was awesome!
Hope they melt those Hearts of Stone at the Beacon in December
Let us Rise
Peace
Love All Ways
The music lives on.
Great stuff, but man this song misses Grace Slick's backing vocals.
Awesome!!
❤️ love you Marty and Jorma and Jack. Sue you must've been there too ❣️
Marty kicking ass till the end!
Alright! Marty sounded great! This is the 1st time Ive heard anybody rock out at FPR. Usually its low key acoustic stuff. I wondered if jorma and jack could still rock
RIP Marty and Paul !
RIP dude
Sorry he had to go. I grew up listening and saw Starship this summer. Mickey did a wonderful job singing Balin's songs.
Rocking without drums! Didn't miss it! Great!
Awesome video
Amazing
Super...
Awesome Marty Balin
Gees, wasn't that a treat!
oh my i wish i could have seen this
Love love the Airplane!!! Best San Francisco band. I wish Gracie would sing too…
So sorry to hear of your peoples passing...
Speaking as a bass player - Jack is the absolute nazz.
yep
Wow...

Airplane 1 of greatest American bands
R.I.P Mr. Balin.

Jefferson Airplane
Look what's happening out in the streets
Got a revolution (got to revolution)
Hey, I'm dancing down the streets
Got a revolution (got to revolution)
Oh, ain't it amazing all the people I meet?
Got a revolution (got to revolution)
One generation got old
One generation got soul
This generation got no destination to hold
Pick up the cry
Hey, now it's time for you and me
Got a revolution (got to revolution)
Hey, come on now we're marching to the sea
Got a revolution (got to revolution)
Who will take it from you, we will and who are we?
Well, we are volunteers of America (volunteers of America)
Volunteers of America (volunteers of America)
I've got a revolution
Got a revolution
Look what's happening out in the streets
Got a revolution…

R I P Marty.
RIP Marty
Miss u Marty
Jorma,
Are you playing through an old Valco Amp?
How about some backing vocals from the guitar players?
Brilliant❤️🙂
Bass solo you know jack...
Marty aint skeered of no Hells Angel !
❤
Loved Marty, he sure could sing and he was perfect for JA. Here, we could have used Grace.
Fantastic !!!!!! But are you really really sure that you are not missing someone Marty????
Just need a kantner and slick vocal and drums. Otherwise quite good and complete. But FPR is about musicians and variety. So it is good.
1:57
Jorma is still hot!!
Pretty lame without the backing vocal(s).....
I guess the backing vocals are a must for this one.
a wonder in just 2 chords
SR. CITIZENS OF AMERICA UNITE
Does it count as 'singing a song' if the entire song is the same note?
Why doesn’t anyone play off big amplifiers anymore? Sounds crappy mic’ing tiny amps to two average sized speakers in my opinion
In due time, millions of "volunteers" of the world will led by the Lord. The real one time revolution, will occur - Joel 2:1,11*. And James 5:1- /and Rev.18:9-21 the merchants, and Kings of this earth will be removed - Peace, and happy life will follow the carnage.
It loses something as time passes. The days of Nixon, the Viet Nam War, and protesting the Democratic Convention are long over! Other than the music itself the message is just not resonating with most people now!
Beyond sad.
Looks and sounds like Wayne Neuton WTF Happened???????
Slowwwwww...good tune though
Sad
A BIT STRANGE WITHOUT A FEMALE VOCALIST! DON'T CARE FOR THE VOCALS. GOOD TUNE ANYWAY!
The band never sounded good without Paul
now the revolutionaries wear MAGA hats....
no - those are traitors
@@jimcharles651 MAGA,,,,,,,,,KICK THE NewWorldOrder GLOBALIST THE HELL OUT OF
OUR COUNTRY.....THEY ARE YOUR TRAITORS !!!!!!!! wake up before its to late
Jim Charles MAGA are the the American patriots that want laws enforced and the Constitution protected, your remark is disgustingly ignorant. Have a a nice day from a volunteer of and for America first.
You wouldn't know a patriot if it bit you on your nose.
Looks like the globalist establishment is back in power ... for now. Had to steal an election to do it.
These guys sound terrible!
Wow! This sucked!!!
Derek Jeskey Sure did!
+Wolf Sings And just what will you be doing when you're 70+ years old?
Part of it is that the band isn't there to sing with Marty.
+Tim O' Flea hopefully singing and playing better than this!
Wolf Sings
good luck with that...so, what if you can? What ya been dong meanwhile?
Aww come on, these guys are old and sounded it, not good.
Sad and embarrassing performances. Some of these people need to know when its time to quit with dignity.
