Costa Smeralda, fireworks for christening - Savona

Savona, 22 February 2020 - The christening ceremony of Costa Smeralda, the new sensational flagship of Costa Cruises powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), is celebrated today in Savona.
The undisputed star of the event is the great international star Penélope Cruz, chosen as godmother of Costa Smeralda. In fact, in the presence of the master of the ship Paolo Benini, she will cut the ribbon that will shatter the bottle on the bow of the ship, as required by maritime tradition. Another exceptional guest of the day was the multi-starred chef Bruno Barbieri, who curated and personally presented the gala cocktail, where he will give space to his creativity and experience.
