I like a bunch of aspects of this rewrite. I like how it considers the properties of rainbows and the explanation as to how the girls would avoid the happiness rainbow. One thing I would add is that it’s important to be sad sometimes, and having too much happiness is a bad thing. Other than that, nice rewrite and it was cool to see Shadow Streak make an appearance.
Shadow Streak Powerpuff Girls 2016 really needs to go because it's just a failure towards Cartoon Network and a disgrace towards it's legacy similar to Teen Titans Go being a disgrace to Cartoon Network's legacy.
Shadow Streak Blossom, is now a Neat freak/Super nerd, that have a crush on a guy who's much older then her. Bubbles, is now a meme generator that gets a temper tantrum, whenever she doesn't gets what she wants. Buttercup....you know what, she's to easy.
Hey Shadow Streak! Long time no see. This is the best collab ever. It was very funny, and Shadow Streak basically spoke for the majority of the people who hates the episode (including me) The beginning of the video was funny. You and Shadow were the highlight of the video. Edit: I actually liked the alternative episode, 10 times better than the original episode.
This nightmare again........ This show is the reason I always say "Nothing Beats The Original, Period." After all, reboots are not "always" a good idea, except when the timing and circumstance is right. Sure, we could get continuations, but remaking the show with current trends is not going to fly by for the older fans.

So let me get this straight... the writers found Ms. Bellum to offensive because of her body (completely overlooking her brains). Yet they and the censors are perfectly fine with having an entire town on LSD, and showing F*n' 5 year olds do sexual dances. (P.S. the person who wrote that dancing scene was later found to be a pedophile, so yeah consider that whenever watching that scene.) Also kind of dissipated that there was more than one person present in this video, but not a lot of witty or humorous banter.

Well, your version sounds like it would make for a good episode. Although it sounds more like a half hour special than a standard 11 minute episode. Not knocking, just saying. I kinda like to image a version of alegro that is like Shadow Teddy from Persona 4. Starting off as cute and joyfull, but after cracking his shell, becoming more sinister and bragging about what a "wonderfull bliss" ignorence is.

If I was to rewrite this story I would add a lot more to Allegro's backstory. Make it so before he was powerful, Allegro had a very dark past in his own dimension. A being of darkness had swept through his world covering his people in negative emotion. Allegro was exposed to anger, sadness or fear in their most extreme forms and hated all of them. The only time he felt happiness was when he was very little and lived a childhood filled with imagination and colour and many fascinating creatures. All he wanted was to feel happy so he begun supressing his other emotions and increased his happiness by only thinking of the one day which made him happy. His overly positive emotion begun to manifest as the giant panda body and Allegro was able to overcome the darkness. But he got to carried away. Allegro didn't want anyone else to feel any other emotion outside of happiness, because he believes any other emotion will lead to pain. So instead of restoring balance, he makes his home world overwhelmingly positive, the polar opposite to the world of darkness. Once Allegro learns to travel through dimensions he decides to spread his happiness to any world he comes across. It gives Allegro a reason to why he spreads happiness and how he's naive to the consequences of his actions because he never learnt the importance of any other emotion.

Gonna be honest, I was very sad at how the PPG reboot turned out. I sincerely wished for it to be good like the originals, but episodes like Painbow shows that this reboot has absolutely NONE of the original show's charm or likable characters, and it really hurts me. Nevertheless, great video! :(
Painbow makes pandas look bad. The horror, the agony, the eyebleeding...the audience retention rate-- *the Scooby Snax!* What EDM was the writers' room on when they wrote this? Also, Jay definitely fixed it and turned it into the Tough Love inspiration that *IT SHOULD HAVE CLEARLY HAD* so bravo! Also, I love how as Jay said, "audience retention rate", the panda just flew out of nowhere.
Your rewritten episode idea is so much better. But for some reason I got reminded of the OG powerpuff girls comic "Cartoon Crazy" which was also Buttercup centered I think. I had that book for a long time when I was a child so I don't really remember that much. But yeah it kinda reminded of it. I hate this episode as much as the next person, but I think in general you're trying too hard in the fixing it part. It starts off good and then just kinda rambles on and just keeps going and adding stuff. Really I think the biggest most needed fixes are very simple. Explanations. I mean other then removing the twerking scene. But My simple fixes: Allegro is sorta like their Myxptlik, an extra dimensional being with powers that aren't fully understood but are natural to him and his dimension. Gummi Bear form is his real self. Panda self is something like a Hazmat suit. Our dimension is kinda toxic to him, he can't survive without protection. This is why Panda shell is just that, a shell. It's not created for combat and is why it shatters so easily after even the weakest attack. Once it's broken Allegro can't stay in our dimension as it physically hurts him and returns to his own, taking all effects of his powers with him. Cloud world is basically him creating a little slice of home here in our dimension, that's why it's so trippy. There's nothing else really wrong with it imo, as its a bunch of interesting visuals, but giving them some explanation to why they are trippy makes them just a little bit less random wtfery. The Girl are resistant but not immune to Alegro's powers because of Chemical X making them different from normal people. Stronger more focused attacks can effect them though, this is why the lobster creature's attack manages to whammy Blossom and Bubbles. Its kinda like the difference between a lantern and and Flash Light. A Latern can effect a larger area, but its light is weaker; while a Flash light has a stronger light, it more focused and doesn't effect more then a small area. The rainbow is a weak but effect attack that and whammy people in mass, while the 'Sun disk' is a stronger effect but can only effect one person at a time. These explinations removes the biggest why's and wtfs about the episode. From there just alter Buttercup's plot, or drop it to allow more making sense of Allegro. She's the class clown becuase she finds all the lessons boring... even if the Teacher tries to make them interesting. She's insufferable about it, and claims she's just trying to make everyone happy becuase school is so dull. Allegro's forcing everyone to be happy no matter what seems great at first, becuase everyone's loosening up and are less boring. But she starts to realize that structure is needed otherwise it starts to lead to chaos. Finally seeing Cloud World and her sisters mind controlled it fully sinks, giving more reason and weight to her random lesson learned moment and that there is a time and place for such antics and that no one should be happy all the time. No random monster attack, no happy zombie hordes that just seems to clutter your idea, just a straight forward 'Creature messes with people, Girls have to solve it.' angle that still fits in the 11 minute time frame, while yours feels like it'd be a much longer episode. Like I don't know just how much sense this all makes as its currently 4 am and I watched this before trying to go to bed like 3 hours a go and my mind just wouldn't let this go... So hopefully now that I got this outta my head I might be able to actually get some sleep.
I would have made a episode of the power puff girls where they use they’re powers to turn back global warming & fight the damages humans have done to the earth yet have it become overwhelming like bubbles has to use ice breath on the Antarctic have blossom use her whirlwind powers to bring clouds to where crops are to give them water idk like make buttercup fly everyone to & from work instead of using there cars then they basically just break down cuz they can’t do everything as it’s to overwhelming maybe like flying into the ocean with a giant bag & cleaning up the trash so they eventually break down & the professor teaches them how they can help like taking shorter showers, recycling & how he’ll buy a fuel efficient car & shit like that then maybe beat up mojo joe joe for throwing a banana peel on the ground and say something like time to take out the trash that’d be relevant and kinda a different spin on who the real villain is global warming & pollution lol
I really enjoyed your rewrite, but it does sound difficult to cram into 11 minutes. Not to mention, these scenes could use a bit of TLC in animation and consideration departments and from what I've seen of this show that could be... a feat, for lack of a better term. That being said, what you said does sound amazing for a special!
Personally, In terms of appearance, I would've written Allegro as looking exactly the same as he officially does... most of the time that is. The twist here is that Allegro's appearance gradually becomes scarier looking & better fitting for a creator of chaos as he grows stronger.

I'm really trying hard to understand this episode. I feel both your and Shadow's (The person you are doing a collab with) pain. I really don't understand the popularity of twerking. Everyone has been shaking their booties before it was even called twerking. I don't get what is so special about it? Anyways, this is my thoughts about how i would write Painbow. Like you, i will stick with what i am given. This episode's theme should have been, 'You can't be happy all the time'. There's a time to be happy, sad, angry, etc. For me, The panda should still be another dimensional creature that seeks out worlds to make more happy. Once he/she (IDK the gender) sees Townsville as unhappy, tries to help Townsville citizens by a rainbow that causes happiness throughout the town. The girls are the only ones not affected due to their genetics or something like that. This episode would be Buttercup vs Happiness or Buttercup vs Bubbles. While Blossom goes to stop the rainbow deity, Buttercup and Bubbles would have an argument about the theme of this episode. How you can't be happy all the time. Buttercup goes about it one way and Bubbles goes about it another way. When the Panda uses a large amount of his powers to affect Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup spring into action. Each of them have their own way of beating the villain. Buttercup tries the physical beating up the bad guy route and Bubbles tries the pacifist route and tries to talk to Panda peacefully. In the end, Bubbles and Buttercup work together to stop the bad guy. In the end, Panda goes away after learning his lesson. Or probably reviewing he actually feels anger towards the girls. Bubbles and Buttercup bond a little bit and the episode ends. At least, that's how i would write it. I do love your version as well.

I would have made a episode of the power puff girls where they use they’re powers to turn back global warming & fight the damages humans have done to the earth yet have it become overwhelming like bubbles has to use ice breath on the Antarctic have blossom use her whirlwind powers to bring clouds to where crops are to give them water idk like make buttercup fly everyone to & from work instead of using there cars then they basically just break down cuz they can’t do everything as it’s to overwhelming maybe like flying into the ocean with a giant bag & cleaning up the trash so they eventually break down & the professor teaches them how they can help like taking shorter showers, recycling & how he’ll buy a fuel efficient car & shit like that then maybe beat up mojo joe joe for throwing a banana peel on the ground and say something like time to take out the trash that’d be relevant and kinda a different spin on who the real villain is global warming & pollution lol

I really enjoyed your rewrite, but it does sound difficult to cram into 11 minutes. Not to mention, these scenes could use a bit of TLC in animation and consideration departments and from what I've seen of this show that could be... a feat, for lack of a better term. That being said, what you said does sound amazing for a special!

Personally, In terms of appearance, I would've written Allegro as looking exactly the same as he officially does... most of the time that is. The twist here is that Allegro's appearance gradually becomes scarier looking & better fitting for a creator of chaos as he grows stronger.

I'm really trying hard to understand this episode. I feel both your and Shadow's (The person you are doing a collab with) pain. I really don't understand the popularity of twerking. Everyone has been shaking their booties before it was even called twerking. I don't get what is so special about it?
Anyways, this is my thoughts about how i would write Painbow. Like you, i will stick with what i am given.
This episode's theme should have been, 'You can't be happy all the time'. There's a time to be happy, sad, angry, etc.
For me, The panda should still be another dimensional creature that seeks out worlds to make more happy. Once he/she (IDK the gender) sees Townsville as unhappy, tries to help Townsville citizens by a rainbow that causes happiness throughout the town. The girls are the only ones not affected due to their genetics or something like that. This episode would be Buttercup vs Happiness or Buttercup vs Bubbles. While Blossom goes to stop the rainbow deity, Buttercup and Bubbles would have an argument about the theme of this episode. How you can't be happy all the time. Buttercup goes about it one way and Bubbles goes about it another way.
When the Panda uses a large amount of his powers to affect Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup spring into action. Each of them have their own way of beating the villain. Buttercup tries the physical beating up the bad guy route and Bubbles tries the pacifist route and tries to talk to Panda peacefully. In the end, Bubbles and Buttercup work together to stop the bad guy. In the end, Panda goes away after learning his lesson. Or probably reviewing he actually feels anger towards the girls. Bubbles and Buttercup bond a little bit and the episode ends.
At least, that's how i would write it. I do love your version as well.
