My cousin had the actual arcade of this when we were kids. We were able to beat it, but only because we could just open the coin slots and hit that lever that the quaters would trip to keep adding credits. It's a tough game on arcade, but it was a lot of fun. I was always the helicopter.
Hey Mike, if you ever want to try an insanely difficult shmup for the NES you should play Zanac AI. The better you do in the game, the more difficult the game gets. It's a really weird experience but it's worth trying if you want a challenge.
That one is about the same as the NES one with some minor changes. They both have 12 stages and that's the harder version compared to the MSX one.@@mikematei
Silk Worm was one of about 5 games to choose from at the corner store. It was neat being able to use both vehicles. They had Whomp em' as well which really surprised me how good it was for never hearing about it.
In regards to Pal World, it's "Early Access" right now, but what's there is good. It's basically like a cross between Pokémon, Valheim and 12 days a Slave.
Don't get angry if you die in this game. Or any game. If you die it means that you win. You win playing the game again. If you never beat tmnt on nes in your life before . And you get to shredder and you die. It's good. It's a damn good thing. If you beat him on your first try. That would be horrible.
Listening to Mike talk about PAL-world’s makes me feel like I’m right at home.🏡 And yes, I intentionally misspelled the games name to make myself feel even older.
From what I saw in this game, it looks like a good shmup for the most part. Nice graphics, acceptable power-up system, good controls. The music loop for the majority of the game is also decent although I've heard better. The only thing I would find distracting is that some of the bosses are just palette swaps of each other which I don't like. I prefer original bosses for every stage. Shmup-related, a thought entered my head in that 1943 basically did the bell mechanic right in a mostly non-annoying way. In that game (which you have beaten on stream), you also change your power-ups/items through repeatedly shooting the icon but unlike the bell mechanic in Twinbee and other games, the icon stays stationary and does not move to and fro like the bell does. That is how I would be OK with the mechanic of changing the type of item through shooting if a games uses that mechanic. Though I cannot think of any other game besides 1943 that did it that way. Games that are still missing in your Games I've Beaten On Stream list: -Iron Crypticle (Switch) -Rogue Legacy (Switch) -Space Invaders (N64)

Famicom?
That's a great game. I suck at it, never made it past the first stage. But it's still great. Don't less enemies come if you kill the scouts?

Mike, you are a highly motivated soldier. The Army needs a platoon full of soldiers like you.

A shield, Mike. It was a shield. If you shoot them they're a smart bomb, if you collect them, they're a shield.
Thank for Mike is still doing this or I wouldn’t be on RUclips at all.
Thanks, Mike!

What’s Up Mike?
"Super SWIV" is the SNES spiritual successor.
Not really. No more than Streets of Rage was Final Fight's 'spiritual successor'.
I think games may lack longevity due to the market being so saturated.
where did you learn to fly? 🤣
LOL this game is impossibly difficult.
Shout out to Lou Sassal
