I think his point is that except for black flag we have multiple charters that are close together and have interconnected stories but many of them never meet like how Shay kills Arnos father and how Shay also knew haytham who is Connor’s father but there was never a big showdown.second AC 1 and 2 are hundreds of years apart and ac 2,brotherhood and revelations all had the same main character
What people get wrong is Basim isn't a true reincarnation of Loki. You know how the staff loves to say "Heir of Memories" in AC Odyssey? Well, that is basically what every sage is. An Heir inheriting memories and personalities of their ISU donors. If I died centuries ago, but my DNA can trigger in someone somewhere centuries later with my memories and so on, they are not me and I am not them. They may have my memories and my personality may overlap theirs if it is strong enough (or they are weak enough) then it would seem to the observer as if I am alive again. I'm still quite dead. Think of sages as the living embodiment of the ancestral memories of the Animus only that the Animus is literally in your DNA. It would be no different if say Altair or Ezio's memories and personality started overlapping if not consuming Desmond's and the brief periods that whatever ancestral personality takes control, it wouldn't be truly ezio or Altair reincarnated. It is just a memory overlap that develops into split personality disorder. That's all any sage is, for lack of any better words. Just more potent.
Who are Basims Children though? Are they the Isu Children Basim had as Loki, or did Basim make children himself between Mirage and Valhalla? I was hoping AC Mirage would answer some of my questions and bridge the gap to Valhalla, yet it seams like Mirage is almost entirely another story of his life, mostly unconnected to the story in Valhalla.
Basim was the reincarnation of Loki, his child was Fenrir, who I think Odin reincarnated as Eivor killed the wolf during the beginning of the game,so Basim (loki) tried to kill eivor to avenge himself or something.
@@B2daBomba bro wtf? Loki's son is not a wolf. What you see in Animus about evior memory as Odin is altered to match evior understanding about his God Odin. Just finished mirage and recently got the Valhalla platinum and man I wish they stuck with Basim for another 2 games Ubisoft could’ve had another Ezio easily
I agree. I think Basim is easily the most intriguing character in the series. Mirage could have just been like ac2 you see Basim learning getting to master then merging his and Lokis memories together. Then the next one could be following him and Hythams adventure up until they meet Sigurd Leading into Vallhala. That way you'd get an insight into how it pans out with Basim/ Loki and get a better idea of his agenda and what he intends. And you have another character like Ezio seeing their whole story also making the modern day more engaging as you are him. Instead we're getting a less interesting Ghost of tsushima next...
I enjoyed playing mirage. Reminded me a lot of the 1st game, Valhalla was so boring, I didn't wanna do raids, didn't wanna have poetry competition, don't want romance mechanic. Dialog mechanic is dumb and adds to the bloat.i just quit playing the game. I didn't know how this game was connected to Valhalla, and to be honest I think the back story is lame. Ubisoft really going off the deep end with the lore. Franchise needs a complete overhaul.
Some parts of info from Odyssey, Valhalla, and Mirage. Maybe a few hints and letters to be read from Origins. The majority of info on Basim comes from Mirage then Valhalla. There IS AC comics but I don’t think there’s anything that’s based on Basim yet.
i think the AC story hasn’t changed much over the years if you look at the grand scheme and every game has you play as a modern day employee visiting the memories of an ancestor who had contact with the isu artifacts. be it a pirate, viking, soldier, whatever the point is you just assassins things.. all they way since AC 1 and i think that’s great but when can we have a social hub that we can choose assassin or abstergo for pvp preference and launch any AC game from. like a ps home but is a hub to hang out before launching a game mode. then we the players can be the modern day antagonist
since ac 1 this story is about assassins and mythology, wtf you guys saying...the plot never had this much dept and anti heroes that match more much the assassin x templar tale
what a lame and shit opinion. ac revelations was the last good ac with modern day story. looks like the 3 mythology games and mirage are finally fixing the sins of the trash modern day story of ac3->ac syndicate
I feel you. The new AC Shadows game is bringing me back to AC but Odyssey and Valhalla was just a complete chore/mind f**k & not in a good way. I was so done after Valhalla I didn't even play Mirage. I loved Origins though.
it got more complicated but personally, better than unity and syndicate and origins, the lore of the staff is so incredible, sadly it's a wasted potential bcs Ubisoft could've made a cool protagonist (basim) just like ezio
Basim is my brothers from another mother. Hell yea Baghdad I’m from you and Basim as well let’s go assassins hot tea let’s go get Tom Cruise. Siri what is ISIS shish capap that is Siri.
In Mirage (the worst ac game) Nehal is a prisoner as such.. like her mother Juno was.. but has control of the computer as Loki did in Valhalla.. and Nehal is Alethia (Angrboda) Juno (Hyrrokin) daughter.. And she upgrades him with the memories of her lover.. Loki. Nehal is not Loki. She's not Basim.. she's Alethia (Angrboda) But has been overwritten.. like a program. She's changed him into a Loki. Nehal is basically the woman in Atlantis. She also can send herself anywhere through technology.. like the staff of Hermes. In Odyssey and Valhalla.
Basim may be the second best protagonist of Assassin’s Creed if they continue his story, i really like his charming but serious character
