I'm guessing that MSI corrected the power setting issue since the time that you bought it, because I was able to go right to Best Performance in the power settings right off the bat. I am VERY thankful for the link for the SSD bracket. The single 1TB SSD is simply insufficient. Adding a 4TB SSD will significantly help with the number of games I have. But even five TB will not be enough in the end. Fortunately, I'll be able to go with 2x8TB... just gonna take a LOT of $$$. WORTH IT! The loud fan does not bother me. It's about on par with the Lenovo I just replaced, and the two Alienware laptops I had previously. Honestly, my mind just tunes the fans out. As far as the tinny speakers go, that is no bother for me. If I really needed the high end sound, I'd just use a headset or my bluetooth earbuds. Honestly, I think I will be very happy with my new laptop. It's a hell of an upgrade from the older Lenovo Legion Y720 I was using.
Nice review! I bought this laptop and the i7 13620H is running over 90 Celsius when gaming have you noticed anything like that? Did you have any heat issues?
No, mine actually runs pretty cool, in the low 70s. Much lower than my last one with an 11800h. I would say contact MSI, but they might tell you it's normal. Is your cpu throttling when it hits the 90s?

I kept the original drive in there and added an older intel 660p drive. I honestly don't remember what the ram was. I actually just sold the laptop a couple weeks ago and upgraded to a different one which I'm working on a review for.
I just bought it at Best Buy for 1200 plus taxes. Fuel Good Buy? Deni worry me? Does it have good components that give it durability? If anyone answers thank you!
I wouldn't recommend asus in 1000 years, complete scumbag company. They are one of those companies that will do anything in their power to deny a warranty. They literally denied me a warranty on a motherboard because one of the RGB LED fell off the board during shipping.
Hi. I have problems asking for the SSD kit. I try to put my laptop's serial but it tells me "Barcode is not an ex_barcode!" I can't complete the order.
no clue on the color gamut, and as far as nits I'm not sure, but what I found online it looks like 300 nits. Gonna be honest, it's a budget screen and nothing great.
@grumpywolfgaming checking through task manager. I'm new to PC/laptop setups so I'm not 100% sure how to update. I know how to get into the bios but I don't know what more than half the things are or do.
@@iamlegend231 I'm glad you brought this up, since it came with 5600 speed ram, that's what I assumed it would run, but sure enough, mines only running at 5200 also. Thanks for pointing that out. As far as the bios goes, MSI likes to hide the advanced options, if you google "advanced bios menu MSI, you will find the combination to put in. I would do it right now, but I have my laptop wall mounted at the moment and using an external display so I can't access it.
@@iamlegend231 the cpu is not for 5600mhz ram, msi put 5600mhz(idk why) but its runnin as 5200mhz. I bought 5200mhz 42cl ram cuz it was the one value that cpu supports. And its good.

It's not a bad laptop, and for the 1200 I paid it's ok. I've only seen one other comparable laptop for the price and it was an acer.

I think most of my issues are software and firmware related.

no clue, but I can guarantee you are going to hit the 120 fps limit of the monitor with max settings.

It's ok, the keyboard feels sturdy. I wouldn't call it super high end though. I would call it average.
After changing out the RAM is it still running at 5200MHz? Bought 32GB RAM 5600MHz and still showing 5200MHz
How are you checking the speed, the device comes with 5600mhz ram by default. Have you tried updating the bios?

i am experiecing ghosting or motion blur only on laptop display not second monitor anyway to fix this
