Single’s Inferno in Korean is “solo hell” 솔로지옥!
Konglish usage of single and solo are interesting:
🩷 English “single” in Korean is 솔로(solo)
1. not married
2. not in a relationship, not dating anyone
🩷 People also use 싱글(single) for “I’m not married.”
저는 솔로예요.
I’m single. I don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend.
저는 싱글이에요.
I’m not married.
👉 여러분, 솔로예요? 싱글이에요? 결혼했어요?

Speaking of 솔로, What's a proper way to ask you a korean language/culture question? Here in comments? or another means?
I'll ask here, maybe other people could answer too. So I'm a bit of a geek and I find cheesy pickup lines to be good ice breakers. If I were to approach a Korean girl (stranger) with a cheesy pickup line would it be proper to say it formally in 존댓말 or use it in 반말? Looking for answers which match to the culture there.

Hmmm… this is tricky because every single detail matters in determining which speech level to go with. If it’s with someone that you are already friends with and you are using 반말, make jokes in 반말 as well because it wouldn’t come across as rude or inappropriate as the rapport is already existing between you two. If you’re speaking in 존댓말 to each other, keep speaking 존댓말 especially when joking so that it doesn’t accidentally sound rude. Cheesy pick-up lines are talked about a lot on Korean talk shows as jokes too, so they are hilarious… but I would be really careful with it so that you don’t seem “weird” to them 😁
