I agree. It does appear authentic. I have this same kind of drone. Return to home only kicks in when loss of signal from the transmitter. When battery power reaches 1 bar the back lights of the drone, normally flashing green, start to flash red. You can see they are fully red from the splash of light on his face as he holds it. Very Lucky!

He then lost control of it and it flew about 200 meters out to sea and dropped straight into the ocean. I paddled out to see if I could see it on the sea floor but it was long gone...
Genuine question. If this was battery failure, what is powering the camera? A 1080p camera and storage device require more power than the simple motor powering the rotary blades.
