@@JuliaAYRAULT Drop means to give or release something. A take can mean an opinion or viewpoint. And obviously a century means a span of a hundred years. So when someone says "drop the take of the century" it means to express a very astounding and thought-provoking opinion that challenges what most other people would think. In this case, the opinion that using the blood of children can be problematic when most witches don't see a problem with it.
To explain: The word “take” being slang for “opinion” is super recent. A controversial opinion is a “hot take”, or a “spicy take”. Like I would say, “Hot take incoming: Charizard is a boring Pokémon.” By saying “take of the century”, she’s saying the opinion is the most true, world-changing fact ever said. The funny comes from the fact that such an informal, modern, young-people internet-speak 2020 slang phrase is being spoken by an elderly fantasy witch, and the fact that that particular phrasing is super uncommon, if not nonexistent, before this one animation.

It's been two years since a first saw this clip and I still find it fascinating. I'm not exaggerating when I say I need a FULL series of this!!! where is it?! If I were an aritist reading a fan comment that said "please make a series of this" you know what I'd do, Miriam? I'd give her the series, she needs it !
Showed this to my little brother a while back and he keeps asking me to watch this again and again its adorable. Literally the other day we went to get blood tests and he started talking about how the witches should just work at donation places and take an extra vial per kid
*W H E E Z E* 😂😂😂😂
Lol reminds me of when I was a kid. My older brother would show me RUclips/other internet videos (RUclips was still pretty new at that time), and I would get obsessed with like one video for months, and watch it over and over.
Good times haha
That is so awesome and cute :3

"My sister told me, she dropped the take of the century on me... "
I love how so much of this is quotable.
Hi Im french can You explain me the sense of this sentence, please? I just have searched online and haven't found the result/traduction of it.
@@jayv7006 thx you:)
@@jayv7006 I know you were just answering her question, but that came out hilarious.
@@JuliaAYRAULT her explanation was very accurate, however something to note this is slang. It is not grammatically correct or used widely.
I never knew I needed an old, green witch saying "the take of the century"
Ooooooh I'm not native and don't understand this joke :'D could you please explain?
Yeah, don't know why people find it that funny, must be an inside joke or something.
Lol yeah seriously
To explain:
The word “take” being slang for “opinion” is super recent. A controversial opinion is a “hot take”, or a “spicy take”. Like I would say, “Hot take incoming: Charizard is a boring Pokémon.”
By saying “take of the century”, she’s saying the opinion is the most true, world-changing fact ever said. The funny comes from the fact that such an informal, modern, young-people internet-speak 2020 slang phrase is being spoken by an elderly fantasy witch, and the fact that that particular phrasing is super uncommon, if not nonexistent, before this one animation.
