My mom made this when we were younger but she cut a slit in the hotdog and put cheese in it before wrapping! So good!

Hi bud, about 8+ years late to the ballgame here, but your vid popped up in my Recommended List. Went out this Sunday morning to the grocery story to buy some Ballparks and crescent rolls to make this tonight. Remembered these as a kid in the late 60s when my Mom had had enough of me and my brother. LOL Was a fun meal. Brought back good memories. Thanks so much :)

I make these for a Christmas eve/ New Years eve treat! I cut the hot dogs in half, and I always use red snappers, which are a New England variety of hot dog.

Big help bro. I My girls wanted these. You'd think of all the fancy cooking I do for them and my wife I would know this, but had never made em. I did go a little fancy by using really good sausages with cheese in them.

I used to make these all the time but it was one of those things I had to give up because it was too much of a good thing. I miss making and eating them. They are excellent for kids meals. Kids love them.

I like to use a rolling pin to spread out the rolls a bit
I think I will try sprinkling some seasoning on the dough before rolling the hot dog in it. Garlic & onion powder would probably be good.

I started eating these with a dab of relish on the side, somebody did that, and I wanted to try it, and yum, it was a good discovery. I'll take piece off with a knife and then use my fork to push the relish onto the end of it, and yum yum. Very delicious ! Good luck ! and you will love those ginger cookies, you really will ! My mom used to make them plain, then later on down the line she added chili and cheese on top of them. She would put it back in the oven until the chili was heated up and the cheese was melted

Oh another amazing meal is to do hamburger meat, season either Italian style or taco style, then put it inside and fold it so its like little empenadas and I crimp the side with a fork

I make these but I use sausage links but I like them that way sometimes I fried my sausage on top of stove then make them but I wonder can I use cheese ? Oh I have the kids to dip them in syrup and they love them now that's my Pig in blanket

You didn't put cheese slices in them??? Fold a slice of single wrapped cheese into a triangle, which will give you two triangles, and lay the cheese on the dough before rolling the hotdog. Makes them much better!!!

Hi there, yes there is, you can use a rolling pin to roll out the dough before you roll the hot dog into the pastry. This works

Do you boil the hotdogs first?
No. There is no need, the heat of the oven will cook these 100%.
